  1. I jumped into it today for the first time, and I’m enjoying it. It seems challenging but also fair with how it handles power-ups.
  2. Your downloads will remain playable in an offline state if you only delete your user profiles and do not transfer your downloaded games to another console. Just make sure to select “delete profile only”. For a while PS4s with P.T. on them and even mobile phones with Flappy Bird were all the rage, but that was short lived and was based on FOMO. I think the reality is that digital content is too easy to duplicate for it to be worth anything considerable in the long term. The Xbox 360 library I am sure will be archived online by preservationists, and when backed up back onto the console will not look different from “legitimate” downloads.
  3. I have actually fallen out of playing any MMOs lately, but I suppose I will get back to it eventually.
  4. I thought that would be the case, but wanted to be sure! Thank you for the clarification.
  5. As I’m gearing up to participate in some of the challenges I want to make sure I’m meeting the intent of the rules. The controller rules state: Controllers - Turbo Controllers are NOT allowed to be used. Neither are any controllers that give you any advantage over regular controllers, such as slow motion or turbo ability. - If anyone is suspected of using turbo functions, slow motion abilities, etc from a controller, your score will be disqualified and you will be banned from further competition. If I were to use a controller that has turbo or slowdown features, such as the NES Advantage or NES Max, but did not use those features, would that be permitted? They are turbo controllers, but it’s more the form factor that I would potentially use them for, not turbo or slowdown. Thoughts?
  6. I don’t have too much, but I do have a handful. Would definitely like to get some more big box games.
  7. Strategy guides are definitely part of my collecting. I consider them nearly mandatory for myself for RPGs, and a nicety for other games, but I get them, and use them, when I can. I've been burned too many times by JRPGs that have missable content.
  8. I toadilly get it. In my case sometimes a brutal challenge is what I am looking for, but it's definitely not for all, or even most, audiences!
  9. Oh yeah I had forgotten all about Jamestown. I remember getting a bluetooth controller set up for Steam specifically for that one.
  10. For me, Kirby Super Star is one of my most nostalgic co-op games, going back to trying to 100% The Great Cave Offensive with my hometown friend. Many nail-biting moments, but nothing that is too frustrating. Kirby games are pretty chill, so it’s pretty easy to get someone to play, and the Helper function can be swapped back to CPU control if Player 2 loses interest or needs to take a break. It’s divided into multiple smaller stand-alone games that start simple for new or young gamers and scales up to tougher collect-a-thons for more skilled players. It’s very flexible like that.

  12. Couch Co-Op. It brought family and friends together for decades, and was arguably the initial reason for the success of home video game consoles among families. Today, while this game format may be in decline due to online alternatives, there is still something to be said for playing with a buddy or significant other as a bonding activity. Drop your couch co-op recommendations below! I will update the list in the post following this one. Also please share your stories of good times playing co-op games. Criteria: Must be easily playable on a TV from a couch or recliner. Must be playable without networking capabilities (LAN parties are a different, but very fun beast!)
  13. Is there any significant amount of disc-based homebrew releases? Or is it still few and far between?
  14. COLLECT - Systems: Sony PlayStation 2 50 (Not going to claim PS1 at this time, lots of them are just alternate Greatest Hits versions.) VGCollect link: https://vgcollect.com/zephyria/ps2
