  1. OG is an 8/10 for me. I've never played the new one, but I'd like to try it!
  2. Assorted games for The Gaming Manual, such as: Marble Madness (NES) Mortal Kombat II (Arcade/Genesis/SNES) Maniac Mansion (NES) Zen: Intergalactic Ninja (NES) Battletoads/Double Dragon (NES) A nearly-perfect NES binge!
  3. I agree with this assertion. I only knew ONE KID that had a Sega CD, and he only had Mortal Kombat. The magazines made Sonic CD look amazing. It's wild in hindsight seeing how badly Sega was trying to bridge the gap between 16 and 32 bit, instead of just letting The Saturn develop (I got mine Christmas '96!). The 32X is the epitome of an industry faux pas for me/is like putting a hat on a hat, etc.
  4. 6/10 game that has legendary status. River City Ransom.
  5. Zelda: A Link to The Past Super Metroid Super Castlevania Castlevania: Symphony of The Night Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Lightning Force IV TMNT: Turtles in Time
  6. What's wild, is that I don't really recall any of the snarky BS in the reviews and editor sections, etc. I was always pulled in by adverts for new gams on the cover. The Scorpion cameo harkens back to me first learning MK4 was coming because of a GamePro/EGM back during this period. Josh was right that by labeling everything a "ProTip", nothing is one, lmao. Thank you SO much for giving this a watch dude, I try my best to make each video as good as possible in terms of editing.
  7. Easy 8/10 from me. I grew up playing this one at a buddy's house, whom had an N64 a full year before I got mine. This one (along with Super Mario 64 and Goldeneye) were in heavy rotation. Pure nostalgia bias, but I still enjoy it to this day. Solid OST, too!
  8. This right here. A lot of the reputable gaming mags pushed how solid of a title it was. I think it actually scored highest of all the Sonic titles at the time back in like 2001 for EGM top 100 games of all time, etc.
  9. This one is right behind Sonic 3 and S&K for me. Exceptional visuals and music. Yes, it's not perfect, but it's an 8/10 for me.
  10. Marble Madness (NES) Mortal Kombat 2 (Arcade/SNES/Gen) WWF No Mercy (N64) Friday the 13th (NES)
  11. I don't disagree. My perspective is as someone that's been there since the first MK in arcades in 1992, the 2D series peaked with UMK3 for me. Deadly Alliance was an amazing resurgence for a seemingly-dead franchise, even though Deception perfected that generation IMHO. MK9 was fun, but the I fell out of it after that. I go back to UMK3 all year 'round still, though. My personal fave. Mortal Kombat just might be my favorite game series/franchise ever.
  12. Never played it, but I love the name and concept! Do Sonic CD next!
  13. It's still small by collection standards, but I DID order several more games for the NES and N64 for reviews for this year, so there's that!
  14. Yo these are DOPE! I've never seen these! I love the Lolo series.
  15. Golden Sun could have more entries! As a die-hard MK mark, I agree that MK is way beyond the saturation point.
  16. Thank you SO much for supporting and keeping up with The Gaming Manual, peeps!
  17. Hooked on Marble Madness NES after working on a script for next season on The Gaming Manual.
