  1. It's the time of the year when I start thinking about running another one of these contests. I've been running 10 week off-season contests for the past six years and I'm looking to do a seventh. Most years revolved around a single console (Sega Master System, Game Boy, Virtual Boy, Nintendo 64), but last year I did a multi console contest where each week a game from a different console and different genre would be played. I was considering doing that again this year. Another idea would be having a genre specific contest. Maybe shooing, racing, or pinball? If I were do do a console specific one again, I think I'd lean towards doing TurboGrafx-16. Also considering a PC only contest where all the games would be free downloads. Thoughts?
  2. I'm intrigued by the mystery prize. I'll be sure to post a score before this ends.
  3. I'll claim the one I requested, the flutist from Dragon Warrior IV. Thanks. These threads are always fun to follow.
  4. Lots of games now available.
  5. It's a tough choice for me. My top four choices for N64 probably beats anything on PS1, but there's maybe 20+ PS1 games that would beat out anything else on N64. Top 5 would go to N64, no contest. Top 10 I think I'd have to go with PS1 since I can't come up with 10 N64 games that I think are exceptional. For N64, there's a four way tie for first. I couldn't choose one. Everything else is in no particular order. 1. Super Mario 64 1. Wave Race 64 1. Mario Kart 64 1. Star Fox 64 Sin and Punishment Super Smash Bros Pokemon Snap Hybrid Heaven Uchan Nanchan no Hono no Challenge Denryu Ira Ira Bo Pilotwings 64 PS1 is in no particular order. Final Fantasy Tactics Silhouette Mirage Brigandine Grand Edition Dance Dance Revolution Final Fantasy VII Parasite Eve Lunar Silver Star Story Complete Xenogears Persona 2 Eternal Punishment Chrono Cross
  6. Here are a few ideas: Luca, a minor character from Final Fantasy IV: A flutist from Dragon Warrior IV: This guy from Monster Party: This thing from Metroid II:
  7. Lot still available. Lowered the price and added an extra game.
  8. A bit more: It doesn't appear to have been, but it was suggested at one point.
  9. Haha, I was going to post a picture from that game on my next turn! It's Pinball Quest.
  10. Not looking for anything in particular. I'll check trade lists.
  11. Another import lot for sale. Also taking offers on Lunacy.
  12. Although it looks like something that should be part of a larger game (my initial thought was it was going to be some sort of Wii Music sequel), I think it looks kinda fun. It seems it's already available on PC and was well received. I played it a few times. The trailer got me hyped, but I was disappointed after playing it. It delivered what it promised, but a 99 player F-Zero game just didn't feel as exciting as I thought it would. It just made me want to play the SNES or GBA games instead. I'm sure I'll give it another shot at some point though.

I didn't care for either of them. I consider them among the worst RPGs I've played. If you want to give a BoF game a try, III, IV, and Dragon Quarter are all much better.
  14. It is! Also, here's the same scene as it appears on the cover art:
  15. While it certainly isn't a mainstream game, I think revealing too large a portion of the screen would give it away. That's not even considering that the name of the game is displayed on the screen for the vast majority of the game. As a side note, I was just looking at the game case (it happen to be right next to me) and noticed that the screenshots look significantly different from the actual game. Maybe they used a prototype for the screenshots?
  16. Would revealing a bit more of the screenshot help?
  17. Not that. Time for a hint? It's a Genesis game, released in North America and Japan, but not Europe.
