  1. @Gloves I don't really like most of the mini-games in Incredible Crisis, yet I've played through it multiple times. It's one of those games that even though I'm not crazy about the gameplay, everything else about it makes it an enjoyable experience. I even wound up getting the Japanese version as well, which has two mini-games that were cut from the US version. One in which you have to diffuse the bomb on the train by following instructions on signs people are holding that the train passes by. The other is a karaoke rhythm game. They were both Japanese heavy, so I'm guessing the US publisher decided it would be easier to just cut them than try to localize them.
  2. If you like puzzle games, maybe try Zoop? For the SNES thread, playing through ten levels is all that's required, so I think that would be okay for this thread as well. I think Power Drive Rally might be impossible if you don't get the faster cars in time. I restarted the first time I played because I couldn't clear a stage, even when it felt like I was playing it almost perfectly. When I got to the same stage with a new car, I cleared it easily. Some of the stages do get pretty tough even with the faster cars though.

    Freebies

Taken. I've got a bunch of Japanese imports I'd like to get rid of in one big lot. Just pay for a medium flat rate box and they're yours (I take payment by USPS money order). N64 ones are cart only, most of the others have the case and manual. Tested most of them, but no guarantee that they will all work. Nintendo 64: Jikkyou J League Perfect Striker Choukuukan Night: Pro Yakyuu King DS: Big Brain Academy Brain Age Dokodemo Pilates Dream Skincare Kabushiki Baibai Trainer: Kabutore! Tomodachi Collection PlayStation: Hoshi De Hakken Tamagochi Jet De Go! Minna No Golf Pilot Ni Narou! Saturn: Sim City 2000 Theme Park
  4. Seems like an emulator thing. That doesn't happen on my cart. Attack of the Mutant Penguins felt like a chore to play. I stopped pretty quickly. I beat Flip Out. What a dull puzzle game. It's just matching colored tiles to panels of the same color while aliens occasionally shuffle or block the tiles. It seemed easy enough so I thought I'd breeze through it and I did up until the final few levels. Not that they we hard, just annoying. The aliens would shuffle the panels more frequently, which just makes you have to redo what you already did. Didn't make it harder, just made it take longer.
  5. I've now tried the majority of the exclusives and I'm almost ready to call Power Drive Rally the only good one. I have very low expectations for the ones I haven't tried yet. Cannon Fodder looks like it could be fun. I'll give it a go once I finish giving all the exclusives I have a shot.
  6. I've been giving a bunch of the other Jaguar exclusives a try and I'm having trouble finding another one that is even a little bit enjoyable. The system really deserves it's bad reputation. I'm almost in disbelief that I'm finding Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tails to be worse than Bubsy 3D. That said...anyone else try anything yet?
  7. If I ever get my Turbo CD running, this is the first game I want to try. It looks like one of those games that can be enjoyable just for the campiness.
  8. Power Drive Rally is done. An unremarkable, but still fun overhead racing game. Easily the best Jaguar exclusive I've played so far, even though that's not saying much. Also beat the default high scores on both tables of Ruiner Pinball. This one was a disappointment. I had heard good things, but I thought it was pretty bland. The camera is zoomed in way to much, making it difficult to judge your shots. The exception is during multi-ball, but even then it can't zoom out enough (on one of the tables) for you the see where the other balls are.
  9. I've been playing this one on and off for years. I like the Gimmick gimmick, but it feels wasted on a game that's so easy. The lack of challenge along with an uninteresting story makes it a struggle for me to get through.
  10. I thought of another one, Monkey Fight in the original Super Monkey Ball. I never got into the main game, but playing this (along with Monkey Race and Monkey Target) multiplayer was a lot of fun. Pretty sure I spent more time playing them than the main game.
  11. Triple Triad was my favorite part of Final Fantasy VIII. I also got a kick out of the Speed card game in Xenogears. I did not know about this and now I suddenly want to buy it. I'm a sucker for Pinball games.
  12. Trevor McFur is done! Also, the time limit has been extended! Check the original post for details.
  13. Oof, I lost at the last stage of Trevor McFur. Will try again later. 5/12 through this challenge and only one game completed...I may have to extend it.
  14. Are you saying I just beat Ultra Vortek for nothing!? Seriously, I just beat Ultra Vortek. This thread is no joke!
  15. Hello and welcome to the Video Game Sage Jaguar Challenge! Let's see if VGS can beat every Atari Jaguar game in 3 months (April 1, 12:00:00 AM to June 30, 11:59:59 PM)! Like the Sega Master System Challenge from a few years ago, I'm making the time limit shorter than other "beat every" challenges due to the small size of the library. I know the Jaguar isn't a very popular console, but maybe there are some others here like me that picked one up on a whim, but never spent any time with it. I figured it's time for me to give some of these games a chance. For those without a Jaguar, don't forget that there are a bunch of Jaguar games on the Atari 50: The Anniversary Collection, available on all modern platforms. Rules: Post the Atari Jaguar games you have played to completion within the time frame in this thread. Pictures are encouraged, but not required. No cheat codes, turbo controllers, or emulator tricks may be used. Unbeaten: Air Cars Alien vs. Predator Atari Karts Attack of the Mutant Penguins Breakout 2000 Brutal Sports Football Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tails Cannon Fodder Checkered Flag Club Drive Cybermorph Defender 2000 Doom Double Dragon V: The Shadow Falls Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story Evolution: Dino Dudes Fever Pitch Soccer Fight for Life Flashback: The Quest for Identity Hover Strike International Sensible Soccer Iron Soldier Iron Soldier 2 I-War Kasumi Ninja Missile Command 3D NBA Jam: Tournament Edition Pinball Fantasies Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure Rayman Super Burnout Supercross 3D Syndicate Tempest 2000 Theme Park Towers II Troy Aikman NFL Football Val d'Isere Skiing & Snowboarding White Men Can't Jump Wolfenstein 3D Worms Zero 5 Zool 2 Zoop Beaten: Ultra Vortek (Red) Trevor McFur in the Crescent Galaxy (Red) Power Drive Rally (Red) Ruiner Pinball (Red) Raiden (Gaia Gensouki) Flip Out (Red)
  16. Not a pinball game! Why don't you believe me? Look at the flippers. Way too close together. How could a ball get passed them? I'll post one more picture. The sidebars should give it away to anyone who has played since they're present for a large part of the game.
  17. Not that. This game came out more recently than Cuphead.
  18. Sadly, it's not a Pinball game. I've played it and not once did I activate a flipper or plunger. All I got were some unlikable characters endlessly yammering about nonsense which was occasionally interrupted with a sequence of mindless button mashing.
  19. One more pinball game done, Patriotic Pinball. Beat the default scores in regular mode for both tables. Can't recommend this one. Having the game freeze to load while the ball is in play is really annoying.
  20. It's not another pinball game. Nope.
  21. I beat the high scores in all the tables of Hyper 3-D Pinball, so consider it done. Not on the same level as Necronomicon and Last Gladiators, but pretty good overall.
