  1. Game breaking bug found Redownload to make sure you have a version without it
  2. EDIT: Please redownload the game, I found a game-breaking bug and updated everything so it's gone https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/mine-mayhem I made a NES game in 48 hours! Still a bit tired after the whole thing but it was absolutely worth it
  3. Hm, might as well post a little Commodore 64 loading screen I did. I love doing pixelart. In fact, I draw all of the graphics in my games (Except for Eyra, which was done by SD's own graphic artist) Anyway, enough talk, here's the goods!
  4. Way too primitive, even compared to the 2600. No good games afaik. Bin
  5. Remember the raycaster I worked on? Well, I made a little demo game/proof of concept using that engine. Enjoy Coding, GFX, Design: @Vectrex28 Music: @Famicuber https://vectrex28.itch.io/horror-hospital
  6. One for the bin. All of the remotely decent games for it got ported to the Switch already. Even the bloody Virtual Boy has more games worth playing (Wario Land VB, V-Tetris, Teleroboxer, etc.)
  7. Worms on Switch huh? Colour me interested, I love Worms. Also Among Us?
  8. Having made a raycaster on the thing, Elite has been one of my inspirations and is one of the best conversions of the game surprisingly. And it's a decent little game to boot, I'm a sucker for such trading games (such as Uncharted Waters which is one of my most played NES games, haha)
  9. First off, IDK where to put this since there doesn't seem like there is a category dedicated to repairing video game systems, so I'll just put this here. Anyway, my Laseractive seems to be resetting quite a bit. It seems to happen more often if there's a PAC inserted. I'm suspecting something in the PSU might be at fault (I checked for 5v coming out of the PSU and it does seem to go down every so often when a reset happens), despite it having been recapped. Does anyone know what we're dealing with? Here's a video of the issue Any help will be greatly appreciated
  10. I for one believe it's much more interesting to keep it a Radar Scope, as I think oddities like this are way more fun to collect than something everyone and their mother's goldfish knows about like Donkey Kong. But then I'm an idiot that squanders money on shit like a Pioneer Laseractive haha, maybe I should make a writeup outta that haha
  11. Sadly, mine kicked the bucket years ago. I was very sad. I do have my second one still though, haha
  12. Sadly, my Chubby Cherub cart is back in Switzerland. However, I'm gonna hit a Book Off and buy a copy of Obake No Q Taro if they have it, providing scores from OnQT are accepted
  13. Nice writeup. Tho I'll stick to pure 6502
  14. Easily the best pre-crash console. There's something oddly futuristic about it, and playing on one feels out of this world. Try turning off the lights and playing a game of Vectrexagon (homebrew) - One of the most hypnotising video game experiences I've ever had! Also it inspired my nick all these years ago hahaha. 9/10
  15. I simp on the PC Engine and I prefer the SNES, but the Megadrive has a few decent games as well. I really like Thunder Force 4 and my 6-Pak multicart for it. Also Xeno Crisis is prolly my favourite game for it and easily my favourite homebrew so far
  16. Man I need to find it for the Famicom, I live in Japan now and I don't have access to my NES collection
  17. 10/10 system. I'm literally playing on my SuperGrafx as I write this. Ever since setting foot in Japan I fell in love with this system and I own waaaaaaay too many PC Engine-related gubbins by now, including a PC Engine LT which is one of the most prized items in my collection. As far as games go, Soldier Blade, Daimakaimura SGX, and Rondo of Blood are some of the best games of all time, and the system has way more interesting games to play, such as Legendary Axe, which is prolly my favourite old-school sidescroller. Its sequel is also up there And obviously, you cannot mention the plethora of amazing shooters for the system! Hudson, Konami, Naxat (sometimes), Namco just to name a few made so many amazing shooters for this system that I play regularly. I'd love to get Dead Moon as well but that's kind of an expensive one. Other good ones are Hany in the Sky, Cyber Core, Side Arms Hyperdyne, Metal Stoker, Hana Taka Daka, Ai Cho Aniki, just to name a few. Also if you claim the boxarts are bad, then that's because most American boxarts of this period were absolute rubbish (look at the SMS...) Japanese boxarts can be gorgeous, look at Soldier Blade or Rondo of Blood for instance
