  1. Sorry if old news, but this morning I noticed in my collection tracker there were categories for cards under 'Filter By Console'. Was this announced anywhere? Just thought it was an interesting sign of things to possibly come.
  2. With current events going on I haven't made it to any game stores in a month or two and it's got me kind of itching to go back. I remembered one of my local game stores (before I moved a couple years back) have a Google 360 degree walkthrough. It was kind of fun going through there and seeing how the store looked. Do any of your stores have this? It would be fun to see different game stores throughout the country! Here's my 'local' store in Conway, AR https://www.google.com/maps/uv?hl=en&pb=!1s0x87d281f00b246ba3%3A0xf3ea28325dd4cc74!3m1!7e115!4shttps%3A%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipN69HOEu9aQWDXLz6UZBl1fVfMaV59X476-os_B%3Dw213-h160-k-no!5sgame point conway ar - Google Search!15sCgIgARICCAI&imagekey=!1e10!2sAF1QipPlNELn2JcRPIIE-31V6qXVuPZjfdZFMIN9Lj_B&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj29OXFiJ3qAhUYG80KHTshBr8QoiowCnoECBMQBg
  3. I don't remember all the details since this was about a year ago and I can't view the listing anymore, but I sold 2 broken PS4 consoles I got for cheap. When I was testing them to get a basic idea of what was wrong with them I got to the PS4 logo screen and nothing would happen after. I put in the listing exactly what I tested so the buyer would have an idea on what they would need to do to fix it. My theory is whoever won it was either fishing for a partial refund to help them make a better profit, or they decided it was harder to fix than they thought and wanted out of it. It was listed in For Parts / Not Working category, was in the title, item condition, and description. I spent over an hour on the phone with different customer reps and they all said tough luck. I guess in the future less details are better so they can't say you mislead them. I guess I'll just put "broken not working" and leave it at that. I had to eat shipping both ways but I still ended up making a few bucks in the end at least. Just part of doing business I guess.
  4. Even if you list in for parts / not working category ebay may force a return. I've experienced that first hand. : ')
  5. Just saw your post. It actually sold last night.
  6. Just wrapped up the first Xenosaga over the weekend. First time playing it. Really thought it was a fun game with a good story. A few parts were a little frustrating since at least for me it was pretty hard without a guide, but I guess that's not uncommon for the era. Finished Danganronpa V3 last week as well. Second playthrough for me, but it was my wife's first time so it was fun watching her come up with theories. Part way through Persona 5 Royal. Loved the original and I've been itching to get through this one. About 45 hours in so... probably 1/2 - 1/3 through. One of my top 5 games for sure. Finally, playing Cold Fear on and off for the PS2. It's an alright game. I'm mostly an RPG guy so this is a nice break.
  7. Pics of mine - https://imgur.com/a/bNn1Xtm Unfortunately the inside piece of the hangtab fell out. I'm sure that'll detract the value some.
  8. Looking for an estimate on a good (7 or 8 / 10) condition Castlevania hangtab, box only. Unpunched. I see a few listings on ebay, but all the sold ones are somewhat rough condition. I see this listing that sold for $400, and I would say the box I'm looking at is a little nicer than the one sold. No inserts or cart, just box. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Castlevania-Nintendo-NES-Complete-in-Box-5-Screw-Cardboard-Hangtab-/233477671554?epid=4132&hash=item365c5a8a82%3Ag%3ASwQAAOSwD0deLvyn&nma=true&si=pMq5D%2FdBYOMxX63IUZSq%2FM4ykGc%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  9. Not saying that's impossible but a pretty big gamble if you're paying 13% fees on a fake sale. Unless items show up under sold if they were never paid for.
  10. New stuff help me clean out my closet.
  11. I've had 3 GSP sales past couple weeks. Canada, Australia, Germany. Haven't had any issues personally. May be country specific. Was your item just a video game? It'd be weird if that was considered restricted. What was the approx item value? I would think maybe they'd refund if it was cheap, but if it were more expensive they would ship back to the seller... hopefully.
  12. I'm indifferent. I'm not smart enough to actively trade. DCA my 401k and retire in 20 or 30 years. I'll be selfish and say dead cat bounce so I can keep buying in for cheaper.
  13. I would say yes. My area I live is about 500k population, but you can drive 20 minutes pretty much any direction and be in a small 500-5k population town. No game stores.. older population.. less technical savvy. They may or may not have ever had games to begin with though.
  14. Yeah I think it would be all about numbers. Almost all will be duds, but there's that ever so small chance you'll find a hit that pays for 1000 advertisements. Kind of like playing the lottery with extra steps lol. Never know what's still sitting in grandma's attic!
  15. I've had an idea floating around my head for the past year, but I think I've ultimately determined it's not worth the effort or time, so I don't mind sharing it with the public and getting their opinion (and maybe someone will try it themselves). USPS has a program called Every Door Direct Mail, which is used by businesses to spam advertisements to houses with specific qualifications you can set. Quoted from their website "even filter by age, income, or household size1 using U.S. Census data". You submit your info such as what areas you want to target and what demographics and drop off the fliers and they'll deliver them. This runs $.19 per house. I think you can get fliers printed up for cheap, I would imagine less than $.01-$.02 per, so we'll say all together your cost is $.20 per house. I think it would be interesting to create a 'Want to Buy' flier with some generic info such as games, consoles, etc and provide an email address and phone number (you can even use Google Voice so you don't have to give up your real number). This really isn't any different than the posts you see spammed on Craigslist and Facebook, but I feel people who use these technologies have probably already sold their stuff for the most part. This is more to target people who don't use the internet as a marketplace. Of course by today most people have sold off their retro games, but I think there's a chance to advertise to specific clientele that may still have games stored away. This could be older people, people who live in small towns that don't have game stores nearby, people that may not be as technical savvy. I don't think I'm going to pursue the idea since I'm not too confident in it and the startup cost, but I've been tempted to do a trial run just to see if I get any hits. You can get 1000 houses for $200 which almost feels worth the gamble, but I don't know. I would assume 95% of junk mail gets thrown away without even being read lol.
  16. I work for (insert big company) at HQ and we have an internal buy/sell/trade website. I've had quite a bit success posting wanted ads. I'm always straight up with them. They give me a list of their games or pictures, I tell them how much Gamestop would give them since it's easy to look up online, and then beat that price by a few bucks. They bring it to work with them the next day and we make the transaction. Works pretty well for everyone. I get a good deal and they get to unload their games without having to make a trip to Gamestop. I don't bother posting those types of ads on Facebook or Craigslist though since it tends to bring out people who think they're totally original and funny and waste your time.
  17. Looks like PriceCharting is having some issues too. First time I've seen 'future sales' XD
  18. Just added to my sealed PS2 collection! These were I think my first RPGs I played growing up. Really excited to add them to my collection. Gonna send them off to Wata eventually. They're really clean, I think they'll get 9.6 or 9.8.
  19. Second Attack sold. Super Bowling still available!
  20. I grabbed an arcade shark a few years back for $10. Only time it gets used is when we play Mario Party (previous winner has to play with the fight stick).
