  1. I've got a Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X I'll get back from Wata eventually. Maybe the wrong place to discuss, but as far as RPGs go I'd imagine those two are pretty high up there as far as 'iconic' titles for the console. Maybe I am just biased though.
  2. I bought a whopping 80 shares of CLOV Friday at $9. Gonna sell half if it hits $18 and let the rest ride. Wishing I would have bought a little more... but a win is a win.
  3. Yeah it's probably not too useful right now as only the submitter of the game has access to the weight. Hopefully someday they'll have a public interface...
  4. Weight is an attribute passed back from one of the API responses when viewing your grades. I'm not sure how accurate it is though. https://api.watagames.com/api/backoffice/order/{orderId} box -> (index) -> crateItems -> (index) -> weight Although I'm not sure what units of measurement they're using here... But would hopefully be consistent for same prints.
  5. There's a handy website Animelon which lets you toggle English and Japanese subtitles. Usually on my last viewing of an episode I'll turn on Japanese subtitles which helps a lot, but I find if I have them on all the time I'm practicing my reading more than listening. I think there's also an option for speed. I might have to mess with this some more, but right now it just feels weird listening to it slower. As far as output I have heard various opinions on outputting day 1 and waiting until you have a good understanding so you're not practicing "wrong". I'm not sure what camp I am in. I am mostly neglecting it because I'm more interested in input and would like to get that up to speed faster. Eventually I would like to work on output, although I have pretty limited use of that in Arkansas. I have been to Japan and plan on going every couple years when there isn't a pandemic, but besides that I don't have too many interests in speaking.
  6. I've found I "hear" a lot of words I know but I don't recognize at real time speed. I can use my knowledge from previous viewings to fill in the gaps. Kind of like pieces of a puzzle. I can use context as I know what happens later in the episode and I may know some of the surrounding words of the "missing" word.
  7. I'm a beginner as well, about 6 1/2 months in (but who is keeping track?). I would say I am learning at a fairly standard pace, although I am putting quite a bit of time into it. During work breaks // lunch I do my Anki reviews, learn 20 new items in Wanikani, and do all my Wanikani reviews. Currently level 20. I would say some of the harder levels so far are around 7-8, and around 15. I think overall it has become easier with time as I'm getting more used to it. This takes ~2 hours per day. Then in the evenings I do my Genki lessons // reviews (chapter 22 so almost done!), reading and listening practice. As I have progressed I have been spending more time per day reading / listening and less time with Genki, partially just because I'm able to understand input a little better now. I do roughly 30 minutes of Genki, and 1.5 hours split between reading and listening. For reading I've been mostly going over "Japanese Short Stories for Beginners" which is make for English speakers. It has 20 stories where for each story it has the text, the translated text, a summary in English and Japanese, a list of vocab words used in the story, and some review questions. I think it is probably a little lower of a level than I need. It's very accessible for beginners. I also have a native Japanese kids book with 100 short stories but it's a little harder, I poke around that occasionally. Also I read NHK Easy. For listening it's mostly been simple anime and Hololive. Right now I'm watching Shirokuma Cafe which is kind of the most recommended anime for beginners I have seen. Might be a little excessive, but I watch the same episode once a day for seven days. Each day I pick up a little more that I missed previously. As I get better I assume I'll be able to drop it down to 3-5 viewings per episode and eventually (hopefully!) 1 viewing. Finally for Hololive I've been watching Okayu. She is probably the most calm and "normal" sounding member which I figured would be better for learning. I watched her Mother 3 playthrough and currently her Dragon Quest 4 playthrough.
  8. I bought these for some reason and now I have ~20% of the game.com library.
  9. When I was collecting PSP a few years back Kenka Bancho didn't come up too often. Looks like there are a few up now but pretty pricey.
  10. Not seal related, but that insert is wayyy high. I figured by Wii era it'd be pretty consistently centered.
  11. Bump. Someone match that $1k offer on Sonic 2 so I can avoid Ebay fees.
  12. I've never used VGA so I can't speak too much on the details, but I think the main driving force with Wata is Heritage Auctions has a partnership with them and they don't (currently) take VGA games. So if that's your plan you've really only got 1 choice right now.
  13. Ebay would probably force the return if you wanted to go that route, but yes to me as-is sales should be final unless grossly misrepresented (items pictured is not how it was received. As in damaged, missing parts, etc) EDIT: I guess I should say I'm assuming it was listed under "For parts, not working". If it's listed as "used" or "acceptable" then yes I would be a little more on your side.
  14. New stuff. Shoot me some offers. For transparency sake my current highest offer on Sonic 1 on Ebay is $2000 and Sonic 2 is $1000.
  15. A third Sonic 2 sealed now and my first Sonic 1. Looks like it might be an earlier print for the classic line seeing as how it's a VRC rating instead of ESRB. Most I see online are ESRB so that's cool.
  16. Bought a large lot of Gamecube and Playstation 2 games last week while on vacation. Even had a few sealed games included: Thousand Year Door, Zelda Master Quest, Zelda Collectors Edition! Also not included is a Wavebird and a Hori Gamepad (which unfortunately has mushy L and Z buttons). I spent quite a bit, so I'll be selling most of these unfortunately and keep the rest for free. Will definitely be keeping some nice titles for the collection though!
  17. I bought this game last year for like $70...
  18. I don't even know what something like that would be 'worth' when it's that far gone.
  19. I believe the security strips were phased out mid PS2 lifecycle, so some games never had them. Unless it's just a very uncommon game to find sealed I usually just check ebay for listings to see if any have the security seal.
  20. Bump. Few sold, lots left!
  21. Yeah! I don't remember who the seller was, but back on NA someone had a whole bunch of NOS of Pokemon Stadium 1. Was lucky enough to grab 1 for myself and 1 for a friend. Wouldn't mind if more popped up.
  22. Well back in October my wife found 4 NFR Rogue Squadrons for $10 each. She happened to find a few more today.
