  1. I didn't technically beat it but all the games on my NES M8 before I sold it!
  2. Bought some games privately and paid through PayPal. I included an itemized list in the description. Well what do you know Prince of Persia was one of the games and it got flagged for manual review. Can't cancel the payment and it takes 'up to' 72 hours for review and for payment to go through. Called and they said they can't do anything about it.
  3. Arkansas Game Room Trading Post no longer exists. Game Exchange has taken over the state. The locations I know of and have personally been to: Rogers, Bentonville, Springdale, Fayetteville, Conway, Little Rock, North Little Rock, Benton, Russellville. There are probably more I haven't been to! Game Point - Conway Blast from the Past Gaming / That Geeky Shop (Same store.. I think name recently changed to 'That Geeky Shop') - Harrison
  4. A Game Exchange in the Little Rock, Arkansas area. It's pretty hit or miss, but was nice to us this time. Unfortunately there are no game stores in Central Arkansas anymore besides a few Game Exchanges. Stage 2.. Hastings.. Gameroom Trading Post are all gone. : (
  5. This is awesome! $58 is kinda steep but I had to buy. Thanks for sharing!
  6. I frequent our local game stores all the time and it's not uncommon to see people selling loads of stuff I'd be interested in. The stores here give like 30% value. It'd be a win-win if I could get it from them for like 50% value but I don't want to be that guy (plus probably get banned from the store). There was one time the guy was going to sell his games, they told him like $60 and he was going to take it. The store required an ID to sell though and he didn't have one, so as he was leaving I met him outside and gave him the $60 the store was going to give him. Don't remember everything in the lot but Xenosaga 3 was in there which paid for the whole thing. Makes you wonder how much good stuff the stores get for pennies...
  7. Early morning bump. I've received a few offers on ebay for my CAT-R so far, the highest being $800. Just a little shy of what I'm hoping for including ebay fees. If someone wants to do $800 off ebay or $900 on ebay it's yours.
  8. Up. Added my CAT-R dev unit.
  9. Picked up this Wii U dev unit, finally arrived in the mail today. Looks like it came from Little Orbit in California. Unfortunately they didn't make anything too great... But still neat to find. Two games are saved to the unit, Kung Fu Panda and Adventure Time. Looks like both are final releases though. Also came with a physical disc for Adventure Time, but I haven't figured out how to read from disc yet. I'll probably end up listing it for sale since I'm not a game developer and could buy some PS2 heavies instead. Until that happens though I'm excited to have this on display! 10. I have a Goodwill I pass every day on the way home from work. I've had some pretty nice finds there over the years. Typically $2 for disc games no matter the console. They never really get cartridge games but when they do they're marked up pretty high. I think recently a new manager started because pretty much the cheapest disc game you'll find will be $8. These are common PS2 sports games that sell at the game store for a couple bucks. I don't really expect to find any steals from there anymore...
  11. Visiting the wife's family for Christmas and we made our video game rounds. We do our hunting together and she's actually the one to run into this one. Not sure why it's going for so much online!
  12. Monday morning bump. Considering sending to HA if I can figure it out...
  13. Bought an M8 from a game store of all places for $330 after tax. Ended up selling it a few months later to help pay for honeymoon. Besides that not much stands out as huge deals. I got about $1k worth of NES/SNES/N64 games from a couple moving across state. Paid around $250 for that. Nothing too spectacular this year though! EDIT: Just remembered a post on FB Marketplace earlier this year. A box of books with some PS2 and PS3 games barely visible beneath them. $.50 each. Couldn't see what they were in the pics but I took the chance anyways and drove 20 minutes to meet them. Lots of filler but a few good $10-$20 games. Big win was the CIB Haunting Grounds though!
  14. I go to 2-4 video game and anime conventions per year. For 8x10 prints like these I'd probably expect to pay $10 per. It's also pretty common to see some kind of variation of buy 2 get 1 free, so maybe ~$10 per or 3 for $20. I live in the south and I'm unsure if prices would change depending on which part of the country the convention is.
  15. Sounds interesting to me. I've had similar ideas about having a database to track your collection, be able to mark which ones are available for purchase/trade, and then match users who have those same items on a "want" list. I'm a backend web dev (~2 years experience so still pretty new professionally) but if you start something up let me know. I would possibly be interested in helping out where I can.
