  1. Bassmasters 2000 done, I used my super duper rare gray cart too https://imgur.com/a/mzfJ622
  2. My area is mostly fine, just some power outages. Floods were not really all that much worse than any other heavy storm. Central Jersey got its ass handed to it a but more
  3. Dam hurricane knocked out power at my house. Two poles snapped from trees and no one working on them yet. Otherwise I wouldve had Bassmasters done by now. Hopefully we’re back uo and running in a few days
  4. Just a little update, Im just about done with Bassmasters 2000 have two portions of the tournament left
  5. While I haven’t worked from home I already know I would dislike it. I even hayed doing schoolwork at home when in college I would always end up going back to the school building and doing homework. Personally I need that separation. I don’t need my stress space co mingled with my relax space. Im able to focus way more on the job when im at work because thats all there is to do. Way to many distractions at home
  6. Yes that game is DARK in some areas, ive had to jack the brightness all the way up on my tv to get through some of the areas
  7. The only one I clearly remember off the top of my head is games_archaeology. Not as big as some others but still had like 4500 feedback and just disappeared
  8. Theres been a few big sellers ive seen disappear entirely on ebay. Im talking multiple 10’s of thousands of feedback and always had hundreds of items listed, and then one day they just poof gone. I wonder if some of them just get fed up with ebay and move on elsewhere
  9. Well i cant say its one to one accurate. It activates the retraction when the fish pulls away and pushes the “line strain” gauge (Drag) and doesn’t pull the line if the fish is swimming towards you. Which is fairly accurate to real life. But no it doesn’t react to every twitch of the fish
  10. Hopefully this info helps someone in the future because I couldn’t find this info readily available. TLDR: The N64 Rumble Pak is REQUIRED to get all of the functions out of the Fishing Rod controller (Line tugging action) So this will be a little long winded but eh Im bored so here we go. Ive had a N64 fishing rod controller in my collection probably close to 10yrs now and this past weekend finally decided to really put it to use. Bassmasters 2000 is still needed for the “Beat every N64 game” thread…can use some help on that goal too wink wink…so I decided it was finally time to put the my rod to good use. First time booting up the game the button on the rod worked but they were in awkward positions such as A reeled in the line and the crank made the menu come up. So first thing is first had to go into the settings to fix that. So another bit of fairly obscure info: In order to use the fishing rod controller with Bassmasters 2000, set the controls to preset-K. This is the setting specifically for this controller. The crank on the rod is set to the L button for more reference. After playing for a while I finally got a bite on my line. But to my dismay nothing was happening with the controller effects-wise, the line didn’t retract as it should. Then I realized (and really should have known this) the controller needs batteries foe that function. So no problem I slide the cover off the handle and insert a couple AAA’s. I got out in my speed boat and try again. I hook another fish annnnnd nothing. At this point my disappointment was building. I thought maybe my controller was broken. So I started the diagnosis. I thought there was possibly a setting in the game to be turned on, this game was programmed with the controller in mind so its not out of the question. But theres no such setting. Then I fiddled with the batteries thinking maybe they weren’t in properly or not secure, so I taped them down. Nothing was working. One thing I though i knew, and I dont know where I got this info from, was that the line retraction was triggered by the rumble signal from the console. So I thought maybe its the console not sending out the signal. So I ordered a rumble pak, because despite having a complete cart collection and nearly all the weird and wacky accessories and controllers for the system for 10yrs, Ive never had a rumble pak. Since Im well aware how rumble feels in games, it just didn’t seem necessary. But I finally acquired one and popped it into a standard controller and it worked. So okay the signal is reaching the controller. So I turn off the console and plug in the rod, and turn the console back on, when I noticed that upon start up the line retracted quickly! It probably does this to calibrate is my guess, but I hadn’t noticed it the other time i had turned on the console. So then finally my big brain moment. I plugged the rumble into the rod and headed back out onto the lake. Lo and behold a fish bites and the rod rumbles to life! The lines pulling in and out and its rumbling, good times. I had known that the rumble pak was compatible with this controller but I thought it was in ADDITION to the other functions. When in fact the rumble pak is required to get the full functionality of the rod. While Im here I might as well talk about the controller itself. It works pretty well and as expected. The line retract effect is neat and when combined with the rumble does definitely give the feeling of fishing action. The only downsides are some button placements. The R button is a second trigger above the Z button and is awkward to reach and the crank is on the right side, which is another awkward thing because most (maybe all?) real fishing rods Ive seen and used have the crank on the left side. The left side has the D pad which can only be reached by twisting the rod to reach it with your right hand. But Overall I m liking it so far Anyway thanks for reading if you made it through all of that. Hopefully this helps that one dude looking to use this very niche controller one day in the future
  11. So i was reading this thread for a good while but skipped the last 8 pages or so. This might have been pointed out more somewhere in there. But to throw in my 2cents. Regardless of any other evidence or relationships, whos good, bad, nice guy, conman. The fact that the dude who was charged and fined for manipulating the coin market is/was directly involved is all I really need to hear to know that there is more likely than not enough shady shit going on to never go bear anything HA/WATA touch. Everyone arguing about everything else seems irrelevant when you got “Bernie Madoff”there involved in any way.
  12. I signed up there a long time ago. Their tracker is very extensive but I remember it being more clunky to use. The forum always seemed pretty dead with posts being weeks apart
  13. Well I spent another two hours this afternoon on the rest of the tournament’s and thankfully it gets MUCH easier in round 2. You start to notice the other players scores just tank all of a sudden. Its like they all broke an arm and were playing one handed. By the end of the tournament I was able to play leisurely without worrying about my score as I ended with a -32 and the cpu’s ended up in the -13 or so range. I dont know why they hit you right at the beginning with a seemingly insurmountable score to beat on round 1 like that. But anyway its done Edit: The credits are selectable in the menu so only a winner screen at the end
  14. All of their numbered releases have always had a standard edition. Only their distribution titles are “collectors edition” only on a couple of occasions
  15. Ugh 4? It took me an hour to get through the 1st round. Thank god they let you save after every hole. I had to replay each one a dozen times because you HAVE to get at least a Birdie on every hole or you’ll lose. The cpu player is at -17 at the end of the first round. I feel like I wud enjoy it more overall if they used the standard swing mechanic and not the weird analog stick mechanic
  16. Anyone know how many rounds are in the tournament mode of Cybertiger? I was hoping it was just one but i did that tonight and after the 18th whole it asked if I wanted to move onto round 2
  17. Not really any when I was real young. Maybe Mortal Kombat if you consider that mature. The GTA games on PS2 I played but they came out when I was in that 13-15 range
  18. We've crossed the 900 game mark https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18UCeKB0rLMvko4ZJjxm665hbqjpoD-7bxjX0i7OkKyU/edit?usp=sharing Will hit 950 by years end
  19. Im asking this since I legitimately know nothing about comic collecting. If a page was dog eared or folded a little bit on the corner comic collectors wouldn’t flip that back and put something heavy on it to flatten it again or something? That seems like the closest comparison I can make to gluing the label back down
