  1. Except for Star Wars the rest are hard to find even in cart only form let alone CIB right? But Ultimate Beach Soccer has tons of carts on eBay. I guess it's the CIB that's tough to find.
  2. I haven't experienced it but it seems activating too many codes at once can brick the GameShark device somehow. By the way, what's the difference between the carabiner and the GameShark SP? I got the carabiner recently but it doesn't have codes for Pokemon. I have the PC application but I'm not able to figure out how to copy game codes from the internet into the PC app. The software uses a file called pccheats.fcd for game codes but it seems to be proprietary and I can't find an editor to quickly copy new codes into it. Any help would be appreciated
  3. Oh yeah I forgot to post this Wii Dev kit that I got in as is condition: I haven't tested it yet but I hear this is the model with a hard drive so there's a chance to find prototypes or unreleased games (if it even works that is lol). In fact....I got 10 of them. All as is untested.
  4. My pick ups over the past few weeks: Only spent $50 on this lot. Yoshi is sealed and the GB games were $5 each I've been looking for a new 3DS for the longest time but they were always in poor condition and overpriced. Finally got this lot for $250. I sold the other 3ds and games for $200 so I'm happy! Picked up all of these for 50% or less of the current going rates. Fire Emblem has the manual and cost $99 because the seller compared prices with the Wii game so I lucked out on that And finally, I picked up this lot yesterday. I'm keeping the pro controller, Metroid and a few others but I'll sell the rest to get back most of what I paid (that's an AGS-101). Also I now completed my NES classics loose cart set with the addition of Metroid. EDIT: Holy moly I was just looking up that GameShark and seems like it goes for 100+ easy! I had no idea. Now the $290 that I paid for the lot suddenly doesn't look so bad!
  5. I found a Minuet version imprinted with "20".
  6. I like the GameCube but can it really be earlier than the plastic prototypes? I'm asking because it looks pretty much like the final product. There should be some major (or at least minor) differences from the final design if it was an early mockup. Or perhaps "prototype" is the wrong word here? Maybe it's more of a reveal of the final product internally?
  7. We don't have an entire section but we do have a thread for repairs and restorations here:
  8. I'm now seeing these on eBay with an ESRB rating and appears to be published by Nicalis. When did the US physical release?
  9. I believe the K. K. Slider ones are for the PAL version of the game.
  10. There's a black/red card that some people speculate came with later prints of the player's choice version. The red part is transparent/translucent. For example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184305747862
  11. Does it have the regular grey memory card or the transparent one?
  12. I love to fix defective cartridges for fun so I could try to take a stab at fixing them if you're interested I've posted some of my success stories over in the VGS repair shop thread.
  13. Yeah I would love to see some pics too @EarlyWorm
  14. 2 years ago I scored Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Platinum sealed for $20 and $40 respectively. Their value seem to be all over the place right now though so can't get a grip on the percentage increase.
  15. I think you've been looking for one of these for years. I think I remember your WTB thread on Nintendo Age. But to answer your question I think they randomly used whatever parts they had lying around so there's a good chance there is an SMB in black. However whether the PCB inside is legit or pirate is another matter entirely.
  16. Looking at the seller's other sold items it's obviously a troll.
  17. Anything video game related is blowing up I guess. The way things are going you could probably stand on the street corner and yell "Mario!" and people will throw money at you.
  18. I'm assuming all the games listed in this thread are referring to CIB copies and not loose?
  19. Reminds me I also got a Pokemon emerald with the battery pad similarly ripped off and solder dripped all over the pins thus shorting them. The positive pad was ripped off on mine which is a bitch to fix. If it was the negative pad it would have been much easier. I managed to fix it though. First I cleaned up the solder mess and then carefully bridged the 2 tiny points on the board where the positive pad connects to. The guy I got it from said the battery wouldn't stick no matter how much flux he used. But that's because the pad was completely gone. It's not pretty but it did the job. I just shudder to think about the next battery change lol. In hindsight I probably should have used magnet wire but I didn't have any at the time. @Tanooki If you're interested maybe I can try fixing your game? Let me know!
  20. Karnaaj Rally seems to be pretty rare. I look on eBay and there are only a couple of active ads similar to Sega Rally Championship. Maybe it's not on people's radar yet?
  21. I managed to get the blue and red ones. There was a green Zelda one also available but for a very short time and I missed out.
  22. Wow didn't notice Gun Nac shot up so much in just the past few months. In February this year I got it as part of a lot. I sold most of what I didn't need to get my money back so it was effectively free. I'm pretty sure the game was hovering around $200 then.
  23. @avatar! Err.... Wrong thread? Or wrong forum entirely?
  24. There are so few DMG-MQ-2 chips out there with the '99 date codes that it's not even possible to fake this revision. The presence of this chip on the board is authentication enough for me. Even if you find a board with the authenticity indicators outside the ranges that you mentioned, I think you should update your data rather than declare it a fake. Unless the soldering on the board looks suspect.
