  1. This “instant tree growth” isn’t actually growing. It’s respawn. The fact that stuff respawns in video games shouldn’t be considered when we’re talking about tree growth
  2. Off the top of my head (in order): NES: SMB, Duck Hunt, Gumshoe, Megaman 2 ATARI: A box filled with maybe 20-30 titles SNES:Super Mario World Game Boy: Mario Land 2: Tetris, six Golden Coins N64: Super Mario 64, GBA: Circle of the Moon, Yoshis Island Dreamcast: Sonic Adventure, Tokyo Xtreme Racer Cube: Waverace, Luigi’s Mansion DS: Mario 64, Metroid Zero Mission (specifically bought DS to play this with backlight) 3DS: Mario and Luigi Dream Team, Zelda Link Between Worlds PSP: Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles Switch: Zelda Breath of the Wild Got all the other systems later when I started collecting
  3. I was watching a video where the guy was comparing the part of the Great Plateau that faces the desert. Here it is in Breath of the Wild. It is frozen: Here it is in Tears of the Kingdom. There are trees. I was wondering… how many years does it take for these types of trees to grow to this size? I would assume 5-10 years or maybe more.. I don’t think they would allow for Link to be 5+ natural years older in the sequel. He’s already at his prime hero age in BOTW. Now if the trees were already there in the past and then Link was killed, placed into the shrine of resurrection for 100 years, and he comes out to find that 100 years of climate change had occurred, resulting in the desert side of the plateau being frozen… that would make more sense
  4. What if you could change your vote within the first x number of minutes/hours after casting it. That way if you made a mistake or even if you learn during the discussion that you misunderstood something you can change it. But you shouldn’t have the ability to change your answer days or weeks later Edit: @DoctorEncorei see I’ve stolen your idea
  5. searching YouTube for others that also theorize this game to be a prequel, I found this guy. @Gloveshe has presented his evidences Seriously though, I still contend this to be a possibility
  6. I used to drink All Sport all the time. Don’t remember if it was at the baseball field or where. Honestly I thought it was fine but I do remember preferring Gatorade/Poowerade. Im actually wondering why I drank the stuff so much given that I preferred Gatorade. Maybe it was the only drink for sale at our local baseball field
  7. Lol. I didn’t grade it. I just bought it because it was the subject of much ridicule back in the early days of WATA on Nintendoage. It’s probably one of the first examples of “WATA’s dirty underwear”
  8. This just in: A second flying object shot down by US fighter jets over Alaska
  9. May 12: Tears of the Kingdom release date Nintendo Direct May 11: oh by the way, you can head over to your local retailer and buy Switch 2 now
  10. I have to say that I’m pretty surprised that this is not a dual launch title for the current Switch and a new console. Gamecube and Wii were bridged with Twilight Princess. Wii U and Switch were bridged with BOTW. I thought for sure that this game would be the opening title for Switch 2. Hopefully they have something even better to drive people towards the next console.
  11. I’m not saying it’s a prequel. I am entertaining the possibility that it could be a prequel. If the arm thing isn’t part of his natural body and is in fact a “curse” of some sorts, then him essentially being killed and his body being left to heal for 100 years in the shrine of resurrection would have probably removed any unnatural things from his body. I would totally respect Nintendos decision if they wanted to call the game a sequel and then plot twists revealed it to be a prequel. I mean you only have two choices if you want to surprise people. You either stealth drop a game or you can announce the game in advance but be vague about the plot. Saying that it’s a sequel isn’t necessary lying. It’s like saying Better Call Saul is the sequel to Breaking Bad. It’s not necessarily a lie, it’s just imprecise. There’s no “actual evidence” when we are hypothesizing about what the storyline of a fantasy video game might be. It’s all speculation. So my “evidence” is the arguments that I have made to support this concept. Maybe call it supporting arguments
  12. How do you know what existed before Calamity Gannons initial attacks? They didnt show us much in BOTW.. Maybe the horse stables did exist, but were just destroyed? And what we are seeing now is how they were before Calamity Gannon initially emerged. Hyrule Castle appeared to be in tact. It did not appear to be in ruins to me. It did seem to be in the process of getting destroyed though. Maybe this is the damage that was done to the Master Sword prior to it being placed back into the Lost Woods to rest for 100 years. That thing on Links arm seems to have happened when he and Zelda went underground and confronted that zombie looking things. I’m gonna guess and say that was the cursed mummy of Ganondorf and somehow his arm was cursed by it. The ruins you are seeing in Hyrule field could be part of ancient Hyrule. Just as today we see ancient Roman pillars scattered here and there throughout Europe and the Middle East, we don’t confuse those with modern infrastructure. Marketing the game as a sequel would be wise if you wanted to surprise everyone with a plot twist in which you discover the game is actually a prequel . I think there’s plenty of evidence. I could turn out to be wrong, but I don’t think this idea is out of the realm of possibilities. In real life, the simplest answer is usually the right one. But this is not real life. This is a pretty highly developed fictional fantasy world with legends, monsters, and magic
  13. Gametz is a free service. So the only thing they do is help you search for people to trade with. All negotiations and shipping responsibilities are worked out directly between you and the other person. The only penalty for bad actors on Gametz is giving them a bad reputation on the platform. So obviously you would want to treat people well if you want to keep using it and also not deal with people that have a bad reputation. As far trade assurance, you would have to make a plan. First level of defense is to ask both people to purchase shipping insurance. As the platform owner, you could probably also have a business insurance plan that you invoke in situations where shipping insurance between the two parties doesn’t cover things. If it can be proven that someone rips someone else off, then you would have to act as arbiter and make one of the party’s take financial responsibility
  14. On a more serious note, if you play Age of Calamity, you see that prior to the rise of Calamity Gannon, Hyrule was a pretty thriving Kingdom. All of that was destroyed after Gannon rose up. If this game comes after BOTW, the guy (Ganondorf/Gannon) speaking in that latest trailer about destroying “Hyrule Kingdom” is essentially talking about destroying some sparsely populated villages in remote areas, and the Gerudo, Zora, Gorons and bird people. In total, maybe there’s like 100-200 people in these places
  15. I watched it just earlier. Even after watching it, I still think there’s a lot of blanks. I am convinced even after watching it that TOTK could be a prequel
  16. That doesn’t matter. If the intention was for us to discover that it is secretly a prequel then they would not tell us. That would spoil the element of discovery. Gannon (or whoever is speaking in the video) says: Rise, Rise my servants. Sweep over Hyrule. Eliminate this kingdom and her allies. Leave no survivors! In BOTW, Hyrule Kingdom is already pretty much eliminated. There’s no military forces remaining and the castle is in ruins. The only survivors are a small number of villagers scattered throughout little towns across the land. And who are Hyrule’s allie’s? I was thinking this is referring to the sky people. If sky people and Hyrule Kingdom are in tact in this game, maybe they all get destroyed by Gannon after he emerges from his dormant state. And this explains why we don’t see any floating islands or the “kingdom” of Hyrule in BOTW. Just my thoughts
  17. @Code MonkeyIn my opinion the best way to monetize this is to build in a trading functionality. First play around with gametz.com to get an idea of how it works. Build the gametz capability into your app. This enables you to get matched up with other users that have games on your want list and which you also have games on their want list. Then you can negotiate a trade with them.. either item for item, or item+cash for item. Similar to Mercari you would charge both users a small fee to execute the trade and to print out the shipping labels. Of course people could go outside of your platform for trades but they wouldn’t have trade assurance and the convenience of trade history being tracked in the app. If your fee is small enough then it would be worth paying
  18. I don’t think the Flashbacks revealed much… at least for me. I still have a very vague understanding of what went on in the past.
  19. How so? Do you mean with the flashbacks and storytelling in BOTW? Or do you mean Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity? Age of Calamity actually doesn’t count. They made it pretty clear that when the robot thingy went back in time, it became a parallel reality. So any of the events in that game should be excluded from the “natural” BOTW timeline.
  20. I just had this thought come to mind watching the new trailer for Zelda TOTK. Could this game be the prequel to Breath of the Wild? It seems that Ganondorf is summoning an army to destroy the Kingdom in the trailer.. Maybe this is the lead up to the epic battle that happened 100 years prior to Breath of the Wild.
  21. The key to thrift books is you don’t buy anything more than $10, and always look for good or very good. And buy over $35 so you get free shipping. I’m not super picky about manuals. As long as it’s in decent shape and I don’t have to pay to much
