  1. I just googled it, this looks like the bottle if I remember accurately. The website says it can be used for massage
  2. Ha ha it’s funny that you mention that. When I was younger in the Philippines my mom hired a massage therapist to come over our house and give everyone a massage. The therapist was actually a semi-professional boxer doing massage as a side hustle. He was using rubbing alcohol on everyone. I asked if this is normal and he said yea it is. So still a thing over there.
  3. Clarification: How would you have preferred to abbreviate it back then?
  4. I’ll concede and give you guys PS1. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be playing some SMB1 on my RNES
  5. If you want to get real technical, they actually dropped the full name “PlayStation” and just called it PSone. Also they used a ridiculous font. To me PS1=PSone and PSX=PlayStation. If we lived in Japan, then maybe I’d make a bigger deal out of that rare system that nobody ever seen in real life
  6. What would you have called it back then?
  7. Did PSX bother you prior to the PS2?
  8. The collectors market still hasn’t settled on what these are worth. That’s why the prices are all over the place. Most games with the US front label will probably not be much more since the only difference is the Playtronic stickers on the back. The ones with Playtronic front label will be worth more than US counterparts since they are more rare, then there’s obviously Megaman 6 purple label which is becoming more and more sought after.
  9. My theory is that they were all shipped to Playtronic sealed and then Playtronic repackaged them. This would mean they opened them up, discarded the US box/manual, restickered the front and back of the cart with Playtronic labels and repackaged it in a Playtronic version box. I know for fact that Nortec in Cyprus/Greece opened games, inserted Greek language manuals, and resealed the games. It wouldn’t be out of the question for Playtronic to repackage games for their region, especially since this could potentially qualify as a “manufacturing” if they are disassembling and reassembling the carts which would reduce high Brazilian import taxes. Check out this MM6 from Brazil has gold rear sticker with a paper Playtronic sticker on top of it. MM6 was not a gold sticker game (gold sticker was reserved for battery backup games with save functionality) so it’s likely that cart backs were disassembled, restickered and the restickered backs were thrown into a parts bin and randomly pulled for pretty much any game distributed by Playtronic.
  10. MegaMan 7 is one of my favorites. It puzzles me how so many people dislike it.
  11. My favorites are 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11
  12. I have no doubt that the Famicom is 100% clone. But further up the thread I have a photo of an NES. It looks legit. The only thing is the Spanish language stickers look a bit different than those in other regions. I have collected some other Venezuelan stuff and have even opened a sealed game. The game boxes have the same Nintendo-ish style of labelling but the games inside are fakes. @fcgamer chimed in and say they might be Taiwanese or Hong Kong bootlegs. The 4 button NES controller is something we never got in the US or other regions, but the build quality of the hard plastics in the controller seems (at least from photos) to be the level of quality you’d expect from Nintendo. Also they have a zapper that looks like it could be legit. Also a cart pin converter that could be legit.
  13. I’m around 50/50. Nintendo in Venezuela may or may not have been legit. It seems that the NES is the most official looking product they have. Also the NES controllers look official in terms of build quality, but the controllers have extra buttons. There is a ton of Nintendo C.A. merch in circulation in Venezuela. The packaging always looks somewhat legit, but sometimes the product looks sketchy. My personal theory is that Nintendo C.A. was an authorized distributor in the beginning but they started distributing pirated stuff due to the lower costs and “Mother Nintendo” severed the relationship with them after finding out. Nintendo C.A. continued to operate selling pirated stuff but also continued using the Nintendo branding and official seal of quality for the stuff they distributed. Again, just my theory.
  14. Since I had been posting the Venezuela NES stuff in this thread, I thought I’d also post images of the Venezuelan Famicom since theirs one on eBay right now with pretty good photos. https://www.ebay.com/itm/155316414577?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20220705100511%26meid%3D078745107e014f45b897add563b0e411%26pid%3D101524%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D155316414577%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2%26brand%3DNintendo&_trksid=p2380057.c101524.m146925&_trkparms=pageci%3A6d3dab05-9555-11ed-80a2-4eabf5989625|parentrq%3Ab8d0bbf61850a9f736b57567fff8610c|iid%3A1 “El Gran Genio” on the console inside the box. I wonder if this is the original one that came in this packaging? The model doesn’t match with the one pictured on the box. Venezuelan Nintendo Seal of approval as always.. Includes cartridges for 4 games: F1 Race, Bomberman, Circus Charlie, Star Force As with all Venezuela Nintendo stuff, it is labeled as “Ensemblado En Venezuela pot: Nintendo C.A.” The pictures image shows the regular Famicom controller. But in the box is the 4 button controller with turbo buttons, as they always do in Venezuela. They must love those turbo buttons there. Controller 2 has no microphone.. AV inputs on this system.
  15. If it not a heavy picture, just use these. They come in different weight ratings up to about 100 lbs. The included nail only goes through the dry wall, doesn’t go much deeper than that. Even if you do bump into a wire, probably nothing bad gonna happen https://www.homedepot.com/p/OOK-30-lbs-Picture-Hanger-Value-Pack-40-Pack-534281/301942179 edit: side thought… do they even use drywall in Taiwan? I’ve observed in a few Asian countries that they use a lot of cinder blocks and concrete for construction.. I don’t know if these work for concrete walls
  16. Even if the info has already been stated before, if you present it in a new way people may be interested. Or even if people like your personality, they may be willing to watch you present it as opposed to all of the people that have presented the same info in the past.
  17. Maternal jokes should be avoided as they can incite violence
  18. A. A variety of styles is ok. If people really like your stuff, they’ll listen to it if it’s made in one take on the iPhone, or if it’s shot on a camera with edits. I think the content is more important than the presentation. B. 10 minutes max. I think 7 minutes is like a sweet spot. C. If you have content that is worth watching, frequency doesn’t matter. Don’t make new videos just to make new videos. D. All of the above. I do think that we are lacking in a western perspective of Taiwan with boots on the ground E. Absolutely. Just make sure you prioritize good content and everything will fall into place
  19. The Gaming Alexandria page stated the V2 carts look identical to V1 carts edit: no it didn’t. I must have read it on one of these other pages this morning
