Per AdamL's endings guide:

However, if you managed to score over 1,000,000
points in your previous game, instead of going back to the title screen again
it will show game credits in the score boxes! It shows the following: DIRECTOR,
EXEC PRODUCER, PRODUCER, GAME DESIGNERS, GRAPHICS, MUSIC COMPOSERS, PROGRAM-
MERS, TOOLS (not sure if I'd want this credit), DEBUGGERS and a few SPECIAL
THANKS credits. It will then say THANK YOU in the top score box and finally
return to the title screen. I guess it's cool that they put this in there for
scoring over a million points, but wouldn't you rather see this at the end of
your high point scoring game instead of hidden in the opening screens of the
game?

Basically, to see the credits you have to wait until after the high score screen on the title page.  So you got the requirement but didn't notice/know about the way to view the credits.

Oh thanks! I didn't know of this one. This looks like a handy reference.

Yeah, that was the reference used when I started the thread, and where a bunch of the Pastebin info came from.  While a lot of his requirements are well beyond the scope of the average gamer, it also generally tells where the game loops, which makes finding the best info for our purposes a lot easier.  If you're interested in checking the entire guide out, it's over on GameFAQs: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/nes/916386-nes/faqs/26831

Nothing spectacular. Two pairs of something. I did actually get a royal flush in spades earlier in the poker battle with King, though. The final poker battle is such a relief after the tedium of playing Blackjack with King. That was easily half of the time I spent on my entire playthrough today. So tedious!

Ok cuz I beat it once and my final hand was a royal flush.  I didn't know if that was something that automatically happens or actually just happened to get it.  Seems like you get a high chance.

Lee Trevinos fighting golf. Hole 5 really made my opponent and I's scorecards look ugly despite playing really well otherwise. Theres a long story there about the AI and how it can then affect you as well. Noticed it playing last year as well. For a game thats regarded as horribly shitty, I find it plenty enjoyable

A royal on casino kid 2?! Thats crazy. Ive beat it a lot and was planning to get to it soon. Its not spectacular, but definitely a good way to kill a couple hours half alseep and watching a game in the background. Pretty sure Ive hit straight flushes, but never a royal. Ive played it enough that Im either really unlucky or thats really rare

Progress report: Bard's Tale is coming along nicely.  I've now finished the Catacombs, and have entered the Castle area.  The enemies are a LOT stronger though, so I may run back to the Catacombs to level grind.  Apparently the item you need to enter the Castle is worth over 17K gold, and the boss you fight can be farmed if you sell it, so I may do that...got me a whopping 10K XP for killing him (used a Gold Ring on him during the fight to double it).  Between that and the 27-Zombie fights, there's a good amount of XP to be had there.  But that's all there is, as I've more or less got either the best stuff from there, or a bit better out of the Castle, so it'd be strictly XP grinding.  For my secondary game, I did some save-state practice on Lunar Pool.  There's a few tricky tables, but there's enough easy ones to make a few extra lives on the way, so hopefully a 1 credit run to get the ending is feasible with some practice.  Not gonna hold my breath though.  It's a fun game, but definitely one of the harder ones of it's kind.

Perhaps you skipped my post?  I think its a thing you get while playing the final dude.  Well, more common than it normally would be.

Since i'm enjoying playing some of these games I haven't in a long time, I made myself a list of ones I don't remember hating trying to beat, but some games i'll have to learn again.

With this, auto-fire is still not allowed correct?  If it is, I could crank out Silver Surfer and Festers Quest pretty quickly.

I had missed your post and saw it last night after posting that. It had me debating last night if I havent hit a royal as I thought or if my memory has just gone to shit. Gaming is really the only realm in life where Ive started to notice my memory getting worse. Playing thru ocarina for 64 thread, Ive had to look up some things I def should have remembered having played thru the game at least 3 or 4 times.

Apparently I'm the only one hanging out around here who wants to play Zapper games. Oh well! More low-hanging fruit for me!

Duck Hunt, Gotcha, Hogan's Alley, and Wild Gunman are now done.

If I wasn't playing via emulator I would totally do a bunch myself.  Alas, my collection is in another province 😛

I did a bunch of them last year, but I wasn't in any hurry to do them again.

I could've sworn it was on the rules page on the front of the thread but just looked and don't see it. I'm pretty sure turbo is not allowed, even on accessories like NES Max/Advantage, or the twin Famicom controllers. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong though.

I never really understood that rule TBH.  It certainly wasn't a factor in the early days.  I could see if this was a competitive scenario, but it's very much not.

Progressing nicely in The Bard's Tale, and since Lunar Pool is likely not gonna be beaten any time soon, I decided to try something a little different and fired up F-15 Strike Eagle.  Kinda glad I did too, as it's way better than I was expecting.  I'm not a big flight simulator guy, but this one isn't terrible.  I've flown three missions in total, and have received one medal so far.  Only just unlocked the third mission though, so it's not like it's going down any time soon, and I do wanna get the Medal of Honor for my personal list, but getting to (and finishing) the final level is probably gonna take a lot less effort on my part 😛

Just beat otocky. The first 9 stages weren't too bad, but the last 2, especially the final one, were brutal. To be fair though, I'm terrible at shooters. Very good game, nice graphics and of course nice sound. I love the fact that most (all?) Of the fds games thus far have had saves. Makes grinding them much easier.

As far as turbo goes, I would love it if it wasn't against the rules, because I've ground my fingers to the bones on certain games.

My feeling was, its in the manual for Festers Quest as a tip.  So I always had a feeling they made some games harder to force you to buy a nintendo product.  The two biggest games I can think from that benefit from it are Festers Quest and Silver Surfer.  With Silver Surfer being, close to, if not impossible to beat towards the end without even one upgrade.  You're just so weak.  With a turbo controller, you have somewhat of a fighting chance, and even then its really tough.
