    • 10/10 - One of your very favorite artists of all time.
    • 9/10 - Killer fucking band. Or artist.

    • 8/10 - Great sound, great songs, great albums.

    • 7/10 - Very good, but not quite great.
    • 6/10 - Pretty good. More than a few songs you like. You'd entertain the thought of seeing them live if they were in the area. Or still alive.
    • 5/10 - They're okay, but maybe not something you'll go out of your way to listen to.
    • 4/10 - Meh. There may be a song or two, or an album that you dig, but you'd rather listen to other stuff.
    • 3/10 - Not very good. You will more likely than not turn the station if they come on the radio.
    • 2/10 - Not your cup of tea at all. Some people might like this, but you are not one of them.
    • 1/10 - Horrible in every way.
      0
    • 0/10 - In the running for worst artist/musician of all time. You would rather take a cheese grater to your face than listen to this.

Oh, it's the Fortnite chick.  I was surprised how many of these I recognized.  Kinda reminds me of a young Lady Gaga.

The Queen of Neo Disco

I watched all of  these videos before reading the thread and was thinking to myself, how long is this disco trend gonna keep going?  I feel like general popular music has been stuck on house/dance/edm/techno/disco for the last 20 years.  I actually dig a bunch of her songs but I'm ready for musical tastes to swing back towards music with real instruments, no looping, and a little more substance.  I like trashy pop and fat beats as much as anyone but it's gone on long enough.

I give her a 6.  I'd def go see a show and would contemplate buying a cd if such a thing even exists.

😄  My wife is more disconnected from modern music than anyone I know.  She listens to '90s country music, and nothing else.

My wife goes on semi-frequent 80s country binges, with a bit of 90s mixed in. I get this.

Britney Spears is still active even though her first CD came out while I was still in high school. I'd give Avril Lavigne a 10 and she's been around since 2002. If Dua Lipa has a 20+ year career, I may want to change my vote in 2041.

I've thought about this, and I don't know when or if it's gonna happen.  No hit songs have guitars anymore, outside of the metal and increasingly niche rock scenes.  The next generation of musicians are not being inspired to pick one up.

The only way it happens is if another Smells Like Teen Spirit comes along and inspires a million future rockers.  Or some sort of keyboard-driven new rock sound takes off.

So is Limp Bizkit.  Longevity often means nothing.

My point is that these things are very cyclical, and it's hard to say where she will end up in the female pop star pantheon.  But do you think many 40 year old men were praising the music of Britney Spears or Avril Lavigne back in 2001?

Hell no.  It's a generational thing.  That's why these debates skew heavily towards praising artists from our formulative years.

Honestly, I don't know of a lot of 40 year old guys today that would want to admit that they listen to Britney Spears or Avril Lavigne. 😂
