I think it is a pale horse in those parts compared to "Stairway to Heaven."

Just listened to it - ok I at least recognize it. I didn't recognize it from the name.

@Tabonga I only know of Stairway to Heaven through South Park; was that originally a song of theirs?

I have been made aware that Stairway to Heaven was done by a different band, one I am equally unfamiliar with. They're all the same hah.

Led Zeppelin - It was played to death on AM (which pretty much ruled back then as far as rock went).  It was a great song but became too much of a good thing.

I do not and never have listened to the radio for any extended period of time. Time in the car as a kid was spent listening to news or cassettes.

As a sidenote, I hate Hootie and the Blowfish.

Stones are alright. They don't really do it for me but I respect their music and they has some good tunes. I used to hate on a lot of this music (Stones, Beatles, Zep, etc.)  when I was younger and thought it was either Metal or shit but I've come around a bit.

I don't know anything about the cover.  I know it never charted really high despite the massive amount of airplay because IIRC it was never released as a single - which drove album sales up but not total number of sales - 45s back then were the main market that AM radio pushed.

The odd thing about it is that it continued to get lots and lots of airplay long after its initial release.  I think for some odd reason it charted in 2007 - likely due to the increasing popularity of digital downloads at that time.

The Stones are probably my favorite "60's" band. Let it Bleed is always an album Im up for.
