I don't have a dog in the fight, and am not completely sure of the unit's actual dimensions, but I was going to say one of the official hard cases for the 3DS XL would likely work pretty good for those, as they're manufactured really similar to the bag you're showing off in your photos, although any carts would tend to float loose above the flap in the middle, since those cases were meant to hold DS/3DS carts on the flap versus in a webbed "pouch."

I went in on it and got their case, but now with the ridiculous wait time involved I've realized it's a bit of a waste of money.  With how boutique they like to run stuff, and the online scum who buy stuff to drive up prices, it will never be for me a handheld.  I have the dock with it, it will end up just being a HDMI docked console to play my Gameboy family stuff, NGPC when the adapter arrives, and if I feel it I may get a new everdrive and the PCE adapter too.

The risk of drop damage, environmental issue, or accidental loss or theft doesn't make me comfortable traveling with it.

I ordered the Etsy case you linked, I'll report back when I get it in. Sucks that being in Canada means the shipping costs as much as the case, but whatcha gon do.

I've had an old GBA carry case.  It is pink-trimmed, but I don't mind.

Kind of fitting really, after all if you don't buy the add-ons, it really is just a really really souped up Gameboy Advance and then some in the end.  An ultimate all things Gameboy Family handheld.

Yeah, and it has two pockets inside, I assume meant to cary a charger and games, and another side pocket.  I can throw some games in one and if I nab a GG Adapter, I can throw it on the other side.

I am amused that I did opt for the GBA case because for me, this was my "solution" to playing Game Gear games.  I really, really want to play them but the original Game Gear has been tough to keep working and the screens are so washed out from the fluorescent lighting used on the LCD screens that this is a rare case where I wanted an upgrade solution.  Even still, I've not been fond of the McWill mod, and the pocket did such a good job with it's scaler options, I really wanted one.

So yeah, to me this is a glorified Game Gear that can play GB/C/A games too!

Exactly I know the case super well.  Nintendo gave me one at E3 back in 2001 which was handy as I had one already having imported one a couple months earlier. 😄  It would have been fantastic had I hit the 1in10 chance on the wheel to get the case that didn't have the stress foam GBA but the real one in it. hah 😄

That case is fantastic as it gets in the day without being hard sided as the padding and form on it is just right, it would be perfect for the analog and a couple adapters.  Sometimes the best case is the case not meant for a device.  I've been using an old logitech mini portable webcam case because it's the perfect size around for a GB Micro.

I’m using a Pelican 1040:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DQOL5U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The solid lid models are pretty much a perfect fit. The clear models don’t have the same padding on the inside of the top lid (which is how they’re clear), so only buy a solid color if going this route.

This one works well too. Great choice.

Really happy with this 3D printed one from etsy.

I got one, too. Main complaint is that it's obviously 3D printed. Now I have no problem with 3D printing, but the overall look and feel is impacted by the lines. The "lid" or "cap" or whatever you wanna call it sticks a bit when I put it on. It's fine, and honestly once the Pocket is inside it does feel pretty secure. The felt is a nice (and pretty well required IMO) touch.

Did I miss something? Is the Analogue Pocket now some new hipster status symbol?

They've made cases for the PS2, DS systems, Switch, Steam Deck...

Seems like it's gamers making high quality stuff for other gamers. I'm much happier that being the case compared to when I was a kid getting beaten up for playing video games.

I noticed that too. It clicks rapidly when installing the cap like “zzzzzzzzztt”.  thought about taking a super light abrasive like 000 steel wool to smooth it but realized it doesnt really bother me.
