  1. In my case, I was saving up for a larger, more expensive item. I only got rid of the games I had no attachment too. It was miscellaneous stuff not part of the core collection.
  2. I missed out on a lot of games this past generation (XB1,PS4,Switch). Now that I am getting back into these games, I'm having a hard time deciding if I should get the Ps4 or Switch versions. Basically every game will run better on Ps4, obviously. But I feel like I am neglecting the Switch and I would rather play a game on a Nintendo platform since I am a Nintendo fan. So I have to decide if I value the portability/novelty of Switch or the graphics / framerate of Ps4 versions. Some of the games in question are: Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom, Descenders, Crash n'sane Trilogy, Darksouls Remastered, A Hat in Time, Trials of Mana, Burnout Paradise, Dragon quest 11, etc. I played Doom and La Noir on Switch before I got a PS4. Since then, my Switch has regrettably turned into a first party / indie machine only. And since Nintendo only releases Wii U ports and very few original titles, I have no reason to use the Switch right now. That is why I have been searching for games to play on it. I do like seeing AAA games on the Switch for the novelty of it. But the Switch versions are just impractical when the PS4 is an option. What have y'all been choosing if you have the choice between game versions?
  3. First time trying Portra 400. I got pretty lucky this month acquiring some more cameras and lenses for free through the Nextdoor app. I'm looking forward to doing a lot more experimenting.
  4. Watched Re-Animator (1985) for the first time last night. I had a blast! I love Herbert West's creepy intensity and devotion to his experiments by any means. Talk about a roommate from hell. Great practical effects throughout. That ending fight in the morgue was insane. All in all, it was a ton of fun!
  5. Oh wow. I didn't realize that was also Argonaut.
  6. I haven't played it but Vortex's gameplay looks pretty similar. At least to the walking portions.
  7. I've been having a lot of fun playing around with film cameras. I never thought it would happen, but I have largely paused game collecting for the past ~9 months. That includes posting on the forum. Idk, I guess covid + school + movies + other interests completely shifted my focus from gaming for the time being. I am working on some Atari repairs rn, so I have been having fun with Atari gaming.
  8. I've been selling a lot on ebay this past month to save up for a camera. I've never had problems as a buyer or seller until now. Some guy won a 10 day auction that I listed and will not pay. Its been exactly a week and I've send multiple reminders and invoices. He has no negative feedback, but his most recent feedback was positive but stated that he didn't pay. So why was that a positive review?? I filed an unpaid item claim yesterday so I guess he has 4 more days to waste my time. This sucks. Now I have to relist the item and now I have no idea what it will sell for. Probably a lot less since this idiot bid it all the way up. Who does this shit? Someone with a compulsive buying disorder who can't afford the item and has no respect for other people's time?
  9. Hi I have a bunch of duplicate 7800 games that I'd like to trade for any 7800 games I am missing. Interested in cart only. We can trade for ~ equal value via Pricecharting. Might be a long shot, but let me know if you have anything I need. Thanks y'all. What I have: List of what I need: Alien Brigade Barnyard Blaster Basketbrawl Crossbow Dark Chambers Donkey Kong Donkey Kong JR Ikari warriors Impossible Mission Kung Fu Master Mat Mania Challenge Meltdown Midnight Mutants Planet Smashers Scrapyard Dog Tank Command Title Match pro Wrestling Tomcat F-14 Flight Simulator Water Ski Winter Games
  10. Wow from seeing y'alls collection posts, I really need to play more 3ds. I have been getting into it recently after not using it much since getting it in 2015. I just finished playing through Pilotwings Resort. It was a lot of fun for a whole $5. Luigi's Mansion 2 may be the next game I play. 3 was fantastic but since 2 will be more of the same, I think the mission structure will be a nice change of pace for short play sessions. I also want to play Kirby Triple Deluxe. Planet Robobot was great, so I'd like to check out Kirby's earlier 3ds title.
  11. I love this kind of stuff. Late releases are fascinating to me. Its wild knowing that Nintendo still has the setup to manufacture discs for the Wii and Wii U which are completely obsolete. I'm interested in the logistics of this. Seeing that official Wii and Wii U branding in 2020 is so cool. I can't imagine anything coming to Wii U after this.
  12. Hi everyone. I just beat Looney Tunes. Fun game by Sunsoft!
  13. Anyone have thoughts on Revelations 2? I think I'll play that next on PS4. Beat the first one on Wii U but don't remember anything about the story. I had fun with the game. It was very close quarters for the most part. I have played RE remake, RE 2 remake, RE 4, and Revelations.
  14. Applying for the homebrew charm. Thanks!
  15. Taken 29 years after the film expired. Been in the fridge the whole time.
  16. This month I finally finished scanning all of my grandpa's color slides dating from ~1958-1991. It was over 1,000 pictures that I had been working on since November. I am amazed with the color and clarity of them. He said he always used Ektachrome or Kodachrome. I also had his 13 8mm films scanned. 3m Dynacolor - 1966:
  17. That's good to hear. I bought a roll of Ektar 100 but I haven't used it yet. I've only tried Ultramax 400, Ektachrome 100, and Ilford HP5 Plus 400. I wasn't too happy with my Ekrachrome shots. A lot of it had to do with bad lighting. Not enough light or pointing towards the light source. I am currently working on a 1991 expired Kodak Tmax 100 which my friend's dad had left in his fridge for years. No idea if it will work out, but its for fun. Ultramax 400: Ektachrome 100: Ilford:
  18. Yeah all the big stores/drug stores like Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, etc. don't give you back the negatives. The negative is the whole purpose of using film. They can give you back a scan but you'll never have the original source from which to archive. Plus you can go back to the film and do high quality scans of it yourself.
  19. That's cool. We've got an old photo enlarger which I think would be interesting to learn. Learning processing and building a darkroom isn't something I'd do though. I hadn't used a dedicated camera before that wasn't a phone. Going out with a purpose to take pictures really makes you think about composing the shot and looking for interesting subjects. What kind of things did you photograph in B&W?
  20. Those shots look nice! Is there a particular type of film you like using for what you do?
