  1. Not that they weren't Democrats, but rather that is not and has not been the platform of the Democratic party for around 50 years now and that many of the folks involved switched over to the GOP. Thus the whole thing about the "Southern Strategy" and more specifically Nixon's Southern strategy. It is absolutely gaslighting coming from GOP members as they are the ones performing the modern versions of those policies while attempting to call out those that were abandoning that way 50 years ago. Thus the comment about it being akin to people who are favored by the modern day nazi movements attempting to call modern Germans nazis when they abandoned those policies and actions more than half a century ago.
  2. While you aren't factually incorrect, these were Democrat (Dixiecrat to be more precise) actions and policies, this completely ignores the Southern Strategy and the more or less party swap that occurred in the late 60's through the 70's. That's 50 years of policy. Add in the fact that the majority of Black voters vote Democrat, mixed with all of the disparate impact on the black community Republican policies create, the unavailability of polling places in predominantly black and minority areas, gerrymandering to such an extreme degree that there will literally be lines drawn to encompass specific individual city streets in an otherwise Democratic voting area, and Republican citation of the events listed in the quote above as a means to accuse Democrats of voter suppression and/or fraud boils down to misdirection at best. It's damn near gaslighting. They might as well still refer to modern Germans as nazis while simultaneously attending a Proud Boys rally. (I understand that you never claimed these to be your views and seemed to be pointing out a common argument used in this situation so none of this is directed at you personally in any way.)
  3. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it and encourage it. I think you might have misunderstood what I wrote. Nothing I wrote was in any way an endorsement of suppression of mail in voting but rather calling out those that do so. Another fun fact: Mail in voting has been available for soldiers since the Civil War.
  4. Assuming a scenario where we still are not able to gather in any sort of mass on election day, you can bet team 45 wants nothing less. He even said it himself that alternatives that expand voting access, such as mail in voting, would more or less ensure a loss. They want people to actually have to choose between feeling safe with regards to their health and being able to cast their ballot, knowing full well that their base are far more likely to choose the latter.
  5. Because Bernie is a class act and no matter what, no matter how many times he gets screwed, he will support the fight against Trump. He did the same thing and endorsed Hillary in 2016.
  6. Idk about that being the only thing. It is incredibly suspect that any other delegate holding viable candidates all suddenly dropped out and endorsed Biden right before Super Tuesday. It seems to me that the other candidates and DNC once again teamed up to fuck Sanders over and that the sum of all their bases gets out and votes more than Bernie bros.
  7. I don't think there is a bigger stoner move than being late for 420
  8. Nope, I mean 4/20 not 20/4 and Starfox, not Starwing cuz MURICA!!! Seriously though, I wish we would just all agree on a date format because it would make databases with combined domestic and international date data easier to deal with. I also wish we just used the damn metric system over here. Still not gonna budge on Starfox though.
  9. True, but in '42, we can do 04/20/42 so that as a loop it just repeats 420.
  10. Made sure to stock up when shit started hitting the fan Also helps that I can walk to grab if I need.
  11. Nice. I had my Start Topic screen up and started typing, got distracted by something else, and then came back an hour or so later to finish. In the meantime you'd posted yours. Or in South Park speak, "And then Towelie just got high and wandered off"
  12. Happy 420 VGS. Ironic that we're basically all stuck at home playing video games today anyways. What's everybody playing today? I'm playing some Super Ghouls & Ghosts, Ecco the Dolphin, Earthworm Jim 2 (Saturn), and Original PSX Tomb Raider.
  13. I'm assuming you are trying to do this as simply and cheaply as possible. Also, you are correct that your tv only accepts a mono signal. So, here's what you need to do. 1. If you have multiple systems going to a switching unit that all output to the same tv, make sure they are all hooked up correctly to that as you normally would. IE: Console's RCA outs to Switcher's RCA Ins. If no switcher, then you are going to move on to step 2 and treat the console output as you would the switcher output. 2. From the output of the switcher, send the video to the TV, and the audio into 2 RCA-F to RCA-F Y Cables. One for left (White) and one for right (Red). Technically you only need to split one (White/Left) since your TV only takes a mono input, but having 1 per channel will allow you to have stereo to the TV in the event you get a different TV. The plugs from the switcher output goes into the ends of the Y cables that only have 1 plug. 3. Take a male to male (standard type) RCA cable and connect it to the dual outputs of left channel's Y cable. Plug one into the TV and plug the other into the left input of your headphone amp. 4. Take a male to male (standard type) RCA cable and connect it to the dual outputs of right channel's Y cable. Plug one into the right input of your headphone amp. If you had a stereo input tv, the remaining output would go to its right channel. You don't so just use 1 of the right channels Y outputs and don't plug anything into the other. 5. Headphones to headphone amp. Now you have simultaneous TV and headphone output. Since it's on the output of the splitter, it works for all of your consoles at once. Want to play just in headphones? Turn the volume off on the TV and you are good to go. Other way around? Unplug the headphones or mute/turn off the headphone amp if it has that option. The only issue you run into is if for some reason you want to do both at the same time, then you have to make a choice in the game options to output mono so that the tv gets a summed signal of both channels, but gives you mono in the headphones, or leave it stereo, but the TV only gets the left channel.
  14. It almost seems like a bunch of people protesting in favor of drunk driving. They don't seem to get that while they aren't guaranteed to affect someone else, they have a high enough chance of doing so that it's unfair to all the other people out there who aren't making that choice. It's just ignorant and selfish. It's also sad that our country is basically designed for this sort of situation to arise. We have a large portion of the country out of work and just being left high and dry. Compound that with the fact that most people who can afford healthcare have it through their employer, which is now no longer available. Our government, and sadly a decent portion of the citizens, are so concerned with making sure that the people who can get services are people they deem "deserving", because in their mind anything other than a certain level of income/employment, and sadly in many cases the right race and sexuality, is a moral failing and deserves to be punished, that they end up fucking over way more people, as well as themselves, and wasting more resources in their ignorant quest to avoid paying for "those people." Instead we bailout billionaires and corporations who are already starting to turn around and fire staff who weren't given shit.
  15. Anybody got a Mister? I feel like that via RGB through a CRT while using OG controllers seems pretty awesome.
  16. I gotta say, I really like the jug handle system. Takes some getting used to but it really is a better way and keeps traffic flowing much better. There's 4 different types though. 3 make sense and 1 is stupid. The good kinds are the standalone where you turn it before your turn and the jug handle and end up straight across from your turn. They also have this kind where you pass the turn but the jug handle loops you back to the same place. The 3rd good one is where you pass the turn, the jughandle loops you back but feeds you to another road, but its a right hand turn. So it's like 3 rights to go across. The shitty kind is when you take the jughandle before the turn, and it makes you take a left hand turn but onto a slightly less traveled road. That kind is stupid and causes problems.
  17. Marble Madness on Genesis. The sound design is SOOO grating!!
  18. I had this as a bootleg VHS as a kid and got like halfway through it before tapping out. IIRC didn't they have a car that ran by burning trash that they shoved in a hole where center console normally is?
  19. Thank you. I've given him the message to get PISSED!!! Also called him a wuss to help start the process.
  20. See I am someone who listened to them in the early 90s, had BSSM when it was their newest album, and got OHM right when it came out. So to me, I see all the post OHM (well post Love Rollercoaster to be exact) as following the late 90's trend of going soft. Aside from a couple of songs, I really don't like anything they've put out in the last 21 years.
  21. Unpopular opinion: One Hot Minute is the last true Chili Peppers album. When they were a new band in the early - mid 80's, they were asked to describe their music in an interview. I believe it was Flea who said "Bone Crunching Maniac Funk." The last album that could have any chance of meeting that description is OHM. It sucks that John Fruscante is a diva bitch and won't play any of those songs live, because the few videos that exist of the OHM tour show that those songs KILL live.
  22. That's exactly why I did that. Left a trailing space on Fizz and then trimmed whatever the resulting string was.
  23. HA! That's amazing. Hell I once took on a job where they required me to write in coldfusion (shudders). My prove it test (and I had never written a line of CF prior mind you) was to write an API connector that returned the data in XML format. My "test" went into their code base 3 months before they called me back with an offer. A stupidly low offer that I took due to being desperate for work. But ye dude, been there. RE FizzBuzz: I thought of the mod 15 version as well but then realized it was only ever gonna be 1 line of output so I went with string concatenation while negating the and (or mod15) condition. I did just realize a flaw in mine though. a value of 0 triggers all conditions so I have to wrap it all in a 0 check, add a && num !===0 to all, or just do the mod 15 version.
