  1. Exactly, that's why I called it out and said abusing. It's abusing the intent of the word for whatever reason I can't figure still. Being edgy? Different? SO deep into being a college sports fan anything somehow had to be related to blue chip for being good? I get that, I see UK fans enough, it gets weird and very needy for attention (and no I don't say go cards either.) Also agree with you 100% over the shmups thing, it's grating and ridiculous so sure let's go with getting high being a fart sniffer why not.
  2. Is it Killer Instinct or Kid Icarus?
  3. It's the insane use of the terminology that doesn't fit video games in the slightest, never has, never will, you're unique in abusing the term and have for at least a decade. That's what's cringy.
  4. Don't forget his warped unique sense of using what's often used in college sports or stocks with games that's cringe worthy calling them blue chip stuff too.
  5. I have a great idea, let's fix that image! Remove the sad moment, put her (or any other rabble rousing blowhard of their ilk) in the center. Then re-write the quote to really bring thought to it. So if all these actors and actresses weren't needed for society that day, does that mean they aren't needed ANY day? I'd say not. Piece of crap celebrities need to shut their fucking mouths, whatever spectrum of the scope they're on. They manipulate thousands if not maybe millions of dumbass sheep to their inane interests through star struck manipulation that tend to clash with actual reality and fuck it up for most of everyone else. Stay within your own wheelhouse and stifle it.
  6. Nice. I've had those a few times before, they exist. It gave me an idea some years back for jewel cases how to make my own cardboard wraps and I probably dumped a 100 games that way in cases, not one ever broken. I'd wrap that, tape down stiff, wrap a little bubble around it and stuff it in a bubble mailer. It was like a hard splint around a double pillow, worked wonders.
  7. I wish she'd die of old age already, or under the weight of her own hypocrisy and stupidity. That women is nothing but consistently delusional and vile, anywhere that gives her a platform.
  8. I would...and that's because I have before. I just made someone miserable for over a period of two weeks trying to play shenanigans over the newegg marketplace trying to get an in 8inx1out HDMI switch. The dumb bastard took the new item out of the box. Threw it, the remote, the ac adapter and the little manual in its baggie INSIDE OF A USPS PRIORITY MAIL**ENVELOPE** (the large size meant like for legal documents) and mailed it like that, not one scrap of pad. The ac adapter was smashed in on the prongs, the hard metal switch had a slight dent into it too. I'm sure it probably worked if I had enough power supply, but didn't, and when i tried to return it, the d-bag tried to get me to ship it a few doors down to naother address at my cost, more than once, even tried to sucker newegg. Eventually they forced him to print a usps sticker with the right info over a week later. I've not had dumb packing jobs in a long time, but that took the taco. Yet in your case years ago (4-5 now) I had a similar case of a WTF moment with a Neo Geo MVS game. ebay, auction, only mentioned the cart, images I think I saw half of a marquee. I snapped it up fast. It shows up quickly and in a box and I"m thinking wow...nice, it's secure. It was... but like you and why it's similar, is because of the box. He had the original matching MVS box, bubble bag for shipping, all the inserts, and the game and wrapped it in one round of butcher paper. Thankfully it wasn't wrecked. Those specific full kits rarely if ever turn up too, it's one of those things just lost to time.
  9. In full vest with every pocket loaded, the professional fisher head out into the flow of the mighty stream hoping today is the day the lure is bit and the elusive suckerfish will be caught.
  10. Updated again, guide ask removed
  11. Hey if those went for $100 or less each I'd buy a couple as I see some personal favorites hoping to see a sliver of development, but I'd be surprised at them down there too (DW3 withstanding, that would be big compared to the others.) That GBC in the first image is pretty fascinating as well. The GBC guide there on development, seen one of those years ago, then a few later when an old Nintendo leak in the GBA era exposed the file to the internet like 20 years ago and it's a great read.
  12. Hah...yeah, don't add me, in the big picture, it's just not that much.
  13. Crazy what turns up, as long as that first post went, kind of surprised it didn't end up with a basket, rope and lotion.
  14. @MiamiSlice Wow...nice guides, and geez I forgot my old game of Defender had one of those made for it too. Game gets so lost in the shuffle but it is a quality title. That Gameboy guide would be fun, usually see those in pocket form, not that size. I had a couple of items from yesterday, was debating doing an image but just didn't feel motivated. I got Dragon' Fury with the case and the tengen reg card (but no manual) in the mail for the lower end value of what the cart costs if that, and it is in great shape. And then I found someone to sell me the prima Dragon Warrior 1+2 guide for $30 vs the usual bullshit $70-100 it hits on ebay so I'm not complaining.
  15. I've backed myself into a corner of heaped up recently accumulated games, mountain worthy given the evercade multicarts, the gamecube finds, and what I'm using as the ultimate distraction at moment Pokemon Legends Arceus. That really does make Pokemon kind of unique, but definitely fun again. I got some drive time (well passenger) coming up this month, Switch I won't take on the road, but that evercade will. That'll break things up, lots of discover and do there.
  16. While I don't love the game, I don't hate it, nor do I find it archaic or boring enough to break insomnia. It has some nice exploration, nice zones to check out and figure your way through, some interesting (and some definitely not) random enemies. The bosses are a mixed bag both of quality but bullshit to fair difficulty, largely though not by direct design but as much as being a victim to the asinine rapid button switching kungfu garbage to do fast sequences in a wee time window. You could do better sure, but you can also do far far worse. People sucking up to it though need a cat scan.
  17. Yeah we could talk, figure something out. F1-Race is the bomb, stupid they never released it here. I'm sure looking it over a few more real ones could be found, translated.
  18. Because analogue some year will supposedly get one out? I never got it either. The SSD3 thing was broken out of the box, repeatedly, never did. A Japanese guy did a digital flash kit that could go from DVI to HDMI but it was like $400-500 range I believe so that's a huge sticking point. All you have now is analogue, the impossible to get pocket with its upcoming eventually adapter and their DUO of mystery. Whenever they bother to pump out group B of the pocket my intent is to get another everdrive again and the adapter, since I got the dock I can do PCE stuff again in style. I never was hugely in love with the optical stuff, so it's not loss to me as I enjoyed the cards. And being analogue, if their weird OS they have out now isn't a cock blocker for jailbreaking, ISOs could be in the future potentially.
  19. @fcgamer Ahh yeah wow dude nice one, now that I can see a far better cleaner image of it all. I swear I've seen those SMB3 cases before, very slick. Hopefully back to the FC game, I hope it's repairable. I'm wondering if it's like the Super Fighter III I got off you I thought was toast until I really clean the crap out of the pins once I could get the shell off, brought that one back from the dead, and I'm wondering if it has similar rot and wear that hard resurfacing to resurrect it. Some of those are legit aren't they? F1-Race is awesome, wish I held onto it, and King KOng 2 looks legit too from that angle.
  20. Often I agree with you, but you're chugging Nintendo flavored kool-aid by the keg, like keg stand worth intoxication with that statement. Nintendo conned people into thinking that, but the game itself clearly says otherwise with the very mechanics it and the AI involves itself in. Those space pirates act like fairly decently smart for the era AI bots in how they track, lock, dodge-wave-strafe and unload hot plasma on you repeatedly. Various other non-borderline braindead indigenous stuff offer up some FPS like smarts/evasion tactics/antics too. Might as well call games with some depth like Half Life first person exploration too right? YOu had to find a lot of stuff, locate switches, platform like crazy in varied environments...yet no one would ever call it that, or others like Half Life, which Metroid Prime squarely falls into very similar territory. Those combat elements you call bioshock and other similar titles too as secondary you know is bs right? Stuff like that, which is the primary way to DIE in the game if you blow at it definitely doesn't make it secondary. Secondary would be damn near optional, stuff you could largely just evade, avoid, or just not do by finding other means. Metroid doesn't offer largely other means, often you're stuck, especially with repeatedly locked up rooms where you learn to shoot, aim and lock well... OR DIE. Pretty sure @Link there and others would agree.
  21. This seems very sketchy to me as a new user who is ignoring questions, fair questions too, asking for a simple list or easier a clear clean image of the game labels so people know what they're jumping into. Right now that could be nothing but shougi, rpgs, adventures, and text based games no one here can more or less read so it wouldn't matter if they were $2 or $10 a piece, it would be an issue.
  22. Never heard of the site before, seems to be slowly growing at least and not a bad idea with playthroughs. I haven't fired one up, but if they're not talking throughout, and just letting it run clean, or with minimal helpful comments that could be quite useful.
  23. I can relate, only to the idea of the FPS being strange, and then bailing on the game too, I just tolerated it until the omega pirate. That's when it really hit me how broken the controls are in relation to how you have to stop, button kung fu while getting SHOT (button press to stop walking, then aiming, then another button to lock your target) to then fire and have it track while they can do it immediately. Shitty design over visors I mentioned, which is why I said the Trilogy version is the better game...it plays well...evenly. I never touched #2 due to this, other than the Fusion tour ages ago when it rolled into town.
  24. I quietly grabbed Arceus, haven't played it much yet but I can't get left alone long enough yet to bother. Cleared the opening, got into the clothes you see in the box art, and ready to go back out into the open and see what happens. I'm a little confused by some of the controls though still, it's a bit wonky trying to either 'Go' style throw a ball vs wanting to actually pick a fight to wear one down. It seems strange it's very fiddly, a test of sorts getting your first group of them in the wild teaches you mechanics, but I'd do what it said about throwing in the wild when you have a pokemon in your team, but it kept picking a stupid fight, not really sure why. I got around it, but it was just weird.
  25. I never ran into that in the 90s or 00s, just in in the 2010s and since. Or at least not all piecemeal at least. I could see someone tack on like $5 for complete vs game or game+manual and that really isn't that far off or unreasonable. I guess gouging was more or less a reasonable thing locally.
