  1. I see nothing about this that is different from any other copy... makes no sense
  2. I think the one reason is that older people like to give physical gifts to their children / grandchildren / etc. and so these faux physical releases are still good for gifting. Its also a form of advertising. People see the game on shelves, then go check it out and maybe they buy it digital or physical. I will say personally, I’ve at least heard of every game that got a physical release because I’ve seen them while browsing. There’s probably a thousand games on the eShop I’ve never heard of and never will.
  3. BUMP! Massive update. Motivated to sell or trade! Just let me know what you are interested in.
  4. No photo for this one but on Monday Target had a promotion of buy 2 get 1 free on all media and while at first I figured I wouldn't find anything I wanted, I was surprised to see they had Monkey Barrels which is a game I was planning to order directly from Nicalis. So I went about seeing if I could find two other games I also wanted and ended up finding Descenders and Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 to go with it. Was in the process of adding all 3 to the cart and then my heart sank when I saw that Monkey Barrels was sold out. I missed it! I was so certain that I had missed it. But I decided to register for a notification if it came back in stock anyway. Well surprise surprise, at 1:30 in the morning I'm looking at my phone and I actually get the notification that it was back in stock. I ended up being able to add all 3 games to the cart and check out. Ended up getting Kart Racers 2 for free, paid about $78 in total. I'm excited!
  5. I want it bad, but I cannot financially justify buying a 3rd Switch, nor can I bring myself to sell either of the two that I already have.
  6. Rhino Rumble box for $29 + $4.60 shipping. Seller has two, I already bought one, had to resist the urge to buy the other. Maybe it's not a good deal, I can't tell... finding a cart and manual to complete it would be tough, but maybe someone out there has the cart already? https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m60791178634/
  7. I was very surprised to see this bundle on Mercari for $77. With tax and shipping I paid $91. And it didn’t get bought up in seconds. Makes no sense! Plus I got worried the seller was going to back out because after a few days it still showed as awaiting shipment / no tracking but then it turned out she was just having difficulty getting it to UPS. Her other listings were all “fair market value” so I was surprised to get a deal on this. The only games here I already had were Zoids and NFL Blitz. The rest are all new for me and Viewtiful Joe RHR is one I’ve been seeking for a long time and I never saw it outside of eBay. Funny that after looking for this one and Double Trouble for so long I ended up finding them both in a short timespan!
  8. I ordered two of the blind boxes from 1PrintGames, you know when they said you would have a 20% chance of receiving autographed copies? Well they finally arrived and neither is autographed.
  9. Was super excited to hear this. Before today there was no indication that this would be coming to Switch and I was sad thinking the Switch would be left out. It's great news!
  10. Late night pickups post! Saw an opportunity to pickup a sealed Shantae:HGH bundle for a great price after I had sold off a CIB one before, along with another game I didn't already have... chipping away at the Wii U library, begrudgingly also, my haul from the latest Red Art Games warehouse sale came in. I don't know if I will keep a couple of these but I'm at least happy to have Vectronom finally. Some various finds, all at good prices... Fairy Tail was a FB Marketplace deal for $67.50 but I haven't decided what to do with it... will probably end up swapping it for something I really want. Kirby's Dream Land 2 was... a long story. It's in worse condition than what I was hoping for but after looking for this for soooo long and finally finding it for just $120 I'm mostly relieved. Picked up this Ubisoft plush that was meant to promote their online Petz game but also their DS games. Completed my Pokemon Power set with a bundle find: A few pickups... Pokemon XD is missing the booklets but the price was great, now I'm just hunting those down. The other GameCube games were all from one game store. The two Wii games were a couple sealed finds in a private deal. First and last time I will use Ship to Shore Phono Co, happy to have these albums but the two 12" albums are both damaged in one corner: Got these toys in a local deal, eventually I will find time to enjoy them: Finally have a sealed Captain Toad and a couple other games I needed. Pac-Man even comes with the bonus poster: More nice finds: And I also picked this up, it's also missing manuals, but for the price it was good: That's all for now!
  11. Tracked down another obscure DS bundle: This was $24.99, maybe a bit expensive, but I don't know how uncommon this is and didn't want to miss it.
  12. NOPE. Might have to! Also it has a sequel with no physical release... weird!
  13. Anyone here played Oceanhorn? Is it any good? I passed on it before because I figured it was mediocre and now it's like an expensive 'hidden gem' or something. I like Zelda-like games, am I missing out?
  14. The hunt for obscure bonus pack-ins / retailer exclusives continues, this was $14, sealed: And this was about $50, not a steal but basically a little cheaper than current COVID-mania prices and it’s fully complete:
  15. Thank you, I had forgotten to order this one. Placed orders for some of the other CE's too. In this market it's buy now, decide if want later. Also I don't know who needs to hear this but Disaster Report 4 is in stock.
  16. Sorry for the dumb question, but if I order Kamiko from B-side games, does that have English? Do all their games support English?
  17. Facebook Memories surfaced this photo I posted 8 years ago of my NES collection: Funny thing is, 8 years ago I was living in an apartment so I didn't have much room, and I didn't actually own an NES to play these on. Somehow I had picked up these games, I don't actually recall where or when, maybe at used game stores or at thrift stores, I seriously don't know, and I was just holding onto them with the expectation that I would eventually have a system to play them on. I know that most of those loose Game Boy games stacked to the left came from random eBay lots, the boxed games probably also came from eBay (although I think SMA:SMB3 was my wife's copy that she had brought from her parents' house) and all the DS/3DS stuff was just my current-gen collecting at the time.
  18. Just got this in, came out to $34.12 with tax and shipping, and it also came with a couple posters that are in rough shape: I really just cared about the Pokemon Power set, I think I only had one issue before. Will probably sell off the rest for whatever amount I can get. Also here’s a local haul from today, all for $20: Had never seen these toys before and I checked the one on the right and saw it goes for $35+ on the bay, I look forward to putting it together.
  19. Sir, that is an auction and this thread is for BINs.
  20. Bought this many years ago at Walmart. It’s still holding up even though I wear it often.
