  1. Several years before I started collecting heavily I sold a copy of Castlevania IV that I got from a childhood friend, who is still a very close friend and now a collector too. It would have been great to give him that copy back as it was his original that his grandmother bought him.
  2. I've followed the art of Bill Mudron for a while now. He has created some of the most beautiful art maps on video games that I've ever seen. I've always wanted to buy a print but everytime I've checked his site they were sold out. I guess he only does the prints once a year or something. Anyway I happened to check today and he has a bunch in stock!!! I order the Castlevania Map & my brother ordered one of his Zelda Maps. Here's some close up images from his work & I'm linking his site here in case anyone is interested. Heck it's worth just looking at all the game art there. https://www.inprnt.com/collections/mudron/ https://www.billmudron.com/gamingmaps
  3. Sad to say since I'm such a die hard Castlevania fan. But I've never actually beaten the original NES Castlvania. Over 30 years since that game came out and I've only gotten to Dracula a hand full of times with no sucess
  4. Gameplay looks good. Been a while since we've seen a AAA SWs game that's solo play only with a full on story. I'm hoping for a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal on it.
  5. Yep King's Field the Granddaddy of DS Franchise. I remember reading somewhere that King's Field was the one of the major influences for DS.
  6. First series that comes to mind would be Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver. There was another game coming about 7-8 years ago which was cancelled. It was nearly finished too. A former dev uploaded video of it:
  7. I really love the box art on this 1. I have the original NES cart but I've yet to play it.
  8. Currently Link's Awakening on Switch, along with Last of Us Remastered PS4 & Gauntlet PS4 as well. Been playing SW Battlefront II at lot lately with all the updates and I'm looking forward to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order here in a few weeks!
  9. Sweet Collection! I would love the own a VS Cab of this or the original arcade.
  10. I collect Magic The Gathering & Coins along with video games
  11. Ya it's a shame what happened with Mighty No. 9. I didn't back that one but I did back an MMO in 2013 on kickstarter, Camelot Unchained, which has yet to come out. The more time passes the less interested I've become in that game and I was really excited for it too.
  12. PC Engine/TurboGrafx & Famicom have always struck my interest. Woulda been cool to go for full sets years ago. Now days I'd buy only what i'd play from those libraries because of price and space.
  13. Here's a close up of the poster, keychain, pins & sountrack with the signature covers.
  14. So 4 years after the Kickstarter, this wonderful game finally came out. I'm happy to say I platinum-ed it on the PS4 back in June and am eagerly awaiting the Zangetsu playable character and multiplayer feature. Today I received my Collector edition Signed Box, ArtBook Soundtrack and extras. I'm waiting for the Collector Map, hopefully by Christmas as I'd like to have it framed and hung up. The box is beautiful and was worth waiting for, so I figured I'd share some pics here.
  15. Looks like I made my account #475 at 11:59PM on 10-30, 1 min before Halloween. Glad to be here
  16. Awesome Display Case I've always wanted a World of Nintendo Case or sign even. I was able to pick up some display cases about 3 years ago when Hastings went bankrupt. Took some time to move and put together. Not as cool as a World of Nintendo but I"m happy with em.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Switch sell over 100 million in the next few years. Heck it might even outsell the original Gameboy which would be a feat!
  18. Wow these new artists are cleaning up. I could see something like Jace the Mind sculptor original art going for this much but, art from a set that came out 2 months ago? Just wow.
  19. I think we are approaching the end of an important era in video games. I'm in agreement with everyone in this thread, physical media is on the way out, and we are in the golden age of 3D gaming. I'm sad & excited at the same time as we move into the next iteration of gaming. So what's next? Good question. AR & VR will likely push forward in a massive leap over the next few years as the tech for it improves and becomes cheaper. I see cloud gaming becoming a reality in countries like South Korea & Japan where the infrastructure for Gigabit Internet is in place. Mobile gaming is here to stay of course and will continue to expand. I also agree that subscription based models with video games are going to be more heavily pushed for in the future. Gaming will be like having a sub to Netflix, or Disney +. Companies need a constant revenue stream to move forward. They've been able to keep new game prices at around $60 for nearly 20 years now, but that's because we are moving to digital only. Once that fully happens prices for games will either go up or you'll have a subscription to even it out. I wouldn't be surprised to see a subscription based system that you must be a part of just to purchase new games in the future. As AAA game development increases this becomes more likely.
  20. Wow had no clue modern MTG art was going 5 figures already. That's nuts!
  21. Yep played MTG back from about '95-'01 then got back into it about 4 years ago. Wish I'd have kept my original collection as it would fetch in the high 5 figure range in 2019. I don't follow anything specific when it comes to original MTG Art other than just seeing the big headlines. I believe the asking price on the art for the Black Lotus was over 5 million and moxes close to a mill each. Insane to say that but they are iconic just as video game original art has become.
