  1. What do you think they're sucking down in those Big Gulps? It ain't Slimfast, that's for sure.
  2. Wouldn't you rather be a human in the Wall-E world? Seems more appealing. I mean, we're already neck deep in mass consumerism right now.
  3. I love the conversations the Internet can create.
  4. Ah. I knew they sunsetted RCAs on TVs at some point. Wasn't sure exactly when it was.
  5. They started combining the composite RCA ports with the component ports, if your Vizio still has those. The yellow composite video connects to the green input (which is why it's labeled video twice.) The Retrotink is still a good idea, though.
  6. Heh, I read that they filmed a scene where Ray visited an old fort, put on a uniform (for reasons) and got in the bed (for reasons) when he was seduced by the ghost. They scrapped the scene but kept part of it for the dream sequence. Because ghost BJs = funny, apparently.
  7. WTF? I searched Ghostbusters and it didn't come up. Shenanigans!
  8. Did we? Was it on NA? Because it's not here.
  9. Ghostbusters 2016 better be the next poll. I want to see the split on that one.
  10. Apparently Estil just learned that capitalism exists in college sports.
  11. Eclipse livecam. Almost total!
  12. Somewhat better than its reputation, but still not up to the lightning in a bottle of the original. I saw it somewhat recently (like maybe 8-10 years ago), and now that I'm older and better able to read people, I can tell that Bill Murray absolutely doesn't want to be in this movie. It really shows in his phoned in Venkman.
  13. Yes, but most happen over the ocean. Hitting land is a little more rare. Next one is 2026, over Greenland, Iceland (including Reykjavik), and Spain, just north of Madrid, though by that time it'll be near sunset, so you need to be away from the hills and such. 2027 will have one over northern Africa, though Gibraltar should also see it. Central Alaska will see one in 2033, and @Reed Rothchild should see one in 2044 (along with the deckles, I mean, Calgarians.) 2045 will have one that'll cross the US again. This time in August, which should see sunny skies. Assuming by then the climate hasn't turned complete overcast 24/7/365 and asshole clouds are the norm.
  14. Hey, back then a wasted weekend was a crime against humanity.
  15. It's called the Paul IV hall or the audience hall in Vatican City. It's actually a relatively new building (compared to the centuries old ones next to it in the Vatican.) Though some of the other "thrones" of the pope do nothing to dispel the final boss image. The top one is the cathedra in St. John Lateran, which is the official cathedral seat of the pope. It's actually not in the Vatican, but nearby in Rome itself. The bottom one is the seat in St. Peter's Basillca, which isn't actually a cathedral, but is the church that is actually in the Vatican. The weird history of the Papal States and modern Rome has stuff scattered all over.
  16. Come on, my conspiracy theories are a lot more plausible. They involve wizards.
  17. Yeah, laugh now, but soon you'll realize those things are sentient. And assholes.
  18. He's got some other crazy vids, too, like his SFC/SNES turned Playstation. I like how he doesn't even try to neatly disassemble the circuit boards, but just rips them apart.
  19. I understand the temperature drops, too. When I saw the annular eclipse, it definitely screwed with the colors of everything. Didn't notice any temperature change, but it was October in bumfuck Utah (actually, a nice little town called Richfield) and I forgot my jacket, so it was already cold. But seeing the ring of fire was awesome.
  20. You should still have a decent eclipse experience. If you can somehow make a trip to a totality area (that doesn't have asshole clouds), go for it, but if you can't, get some eclipse glasses (or rig up an eclipse box) and enjoy the show. If there's an eclipse event, I recommend going to it, as they're more fun in a crowd of people. I went to Utah and saw the annular eclipse back in October. That one was pretty damn cool. And back in 2017 a whole bunch of us at work gathered on our portico with glasses, boxes, and even things like colander spoons to see it. You could even see little crescent suns in the shadows of tree leaves.
  21. I think you hit on a lot of why the show went downhill (though that wasn't the only thing.) The original Homer was more a somewhat dim father, but still loved his family and tried to be a good dad. They made him progressively dumber, but you could still laugh at the antics. But jerkass Homer was a lot less likeable.
  22. Hey, she said she knew me! And her profile picture had her in lingerie! Are you saying that's MY fault?
