  1. To me, the only thing that matter is whether or not I'm getting a good deal. I went about 2 years without buying anything from GameStop, but within the past year, I've been occasionally finding deals. I purchased 6 brand new first party Switch titles during a B1G1 sale. With that said, to this day, I've never pre-ordered anything from GameStop because I've never had any incentive to do so.
  2. I would be more surprised if it wasn't.
  3. Isn't that the Atari 2600 version of Among Us?
  4. For the 1st scenario, I've actually had the conversation a few times in recent years, and I always suggest to just go with the retro collections available on the modern consoles, or to just emulate with a Raspberry Pi or similar. For the 2nd scenario, I would hope someone would give me similar advice.
  5. For those of you in the St. Louis area, we have a new game store. It's been open for about a month, but I was able to stop in today and check it out. Probably one of the nicest looking gaming stores I've ever been in. The guys running it are great and they are trying to host lost of gaming tournaments and social events. I wish them the best and I've added them to our game store database. Here are my pickups from my visit.
  6. NintendoAge, SegaAge, and PlayStatinonAge were all packaged and sold together, but AtariAge was always it's own separate thing.
  7. Growing up, Faro was a family favorite, and that specific scene was one of our favorites, and we all like to quote it to this day.
  8. This thread got me to rewatch The Ladykillers for the first time in years, and I enjoyed it as much as ever.
  9. I want to say I've heard of it. This was a game I always wanted to play. Everyone I knew that played it loved it including many people who had never played RPGs before. But for whatever reason, I never got around to trying it. Not sure that I will ever get around to it now, but maybe someday.

    Freebies

Gone. I bought these trading card sleeves and they were a little thin for my tastes so I ended up buying nicer ones. I returned these to Amazon, but they didn't require that I send them back. They are free for anyone who wants to pay shipping. The box is for a 100 pack, although I might have used a few of them. I'm sure there are at least 90 remaining.
  11. Never seen a Coen brothers movie that I didn't enjoy, although I've probably only seen about half of them. Picking a favorite was extremely difficult. For me it was between Fargo and No Country. I went with Fargo, but on a different day with a different mood, I might pick No Country. I went with Fargo just because a have a little more history with it and it was one of my first favorite movies as an adult. It also started a TV series that I absolutely love. No Country for Old Men is also a master piece. The Hudsocker Proxy and The Ladykillers are also great movies and both are extremely under rated in my opinion.
  12. $42, which is still more than I wanted to pay for it, but I also really wanted to get it and I had never seen a physical copy before. I played the demo a while back and really enjoyed it, so I'm still happy I bought it.
  13. One of my favorites as a kid. I rewatched it very recently with my kids and I believe it still holds up today. My kids loved it too. Easy 9 for me.
  14. I stopped into my local GameStop for the first time in about a year just to kill some time and with no intensions of buying anything. I was super surprised to see CIB Vita, 3DS, Dreamcast and GameCube games. I wanted to buy more but most of the prices were too high. These were my pickups. Nothing was crazy cheap, but these just happened to be good deals in my opinion. They mentioned that they were getting ready to send the Vita games in to Corporate because they weren't selling. I said that I would buy more if the prices were a little better, but she wasn't willing to alter any of the prices.
  15. I've been following Limited Run Games since the very beginning and I've never ordered a CE. I thought the Jurassic Park game was going to be the first time I would pull the trigger, but the CE doesn't come with a soundtrack which is the only thing besides the physical game that I'm interested in. The soundtrack is only available in the prehistoric edition, and that has way too much extra crap for me to be interested (also a little pricy). I guess I'm going with the game only. Still, I'm really looking forward to playing SNES Jurassic Park with saves states. They mention other quality of life improvements, which hopefully includes modern controls for the FPS sections of the game. Honestly, there is nothing else about the game that I would want to be different.
  16. I started out pretty slow as well. Typically, my free time for gaming starts after kids go to bed and lasts until I'm ready to fall asleep. And sometimes I have other things to do during that time as well. I feel like I might be getting close to the burn out point in which I will attempt to beat the game and then take a break. After a sufficient break, I will come back to the things I missed in my initial playthrough and at some point hopefully 100% the game. That's basically what I did with BOTW. I played a lot of the game initially and then beat it and took a break for a year or two. Eventually I got back to it and finished all of the outstanding things including finding all korok seeds and getting 100% map completion. TOTK is so much bigger. I can't imagine how long it will take to do everything.
  17. I watched the new Nintendo Direct for Super Mario Bros. Wonder this morning. I was already pretty sure that I was interested in the game, but the new information released today makes me even more excited about it. And the announcement of a new Mario themed Switch is interesting because the release date is on my birthday........ so hint, hint for anyone looking to get me something for my birthday this year.
  18. About 135 hours according to my profile. How about you?
  19. Still going pretty strong. All four temples cleared. Got Master Sword Max stamina and 27 hearts Halfway through the 2nd round of the battery 117 shrines complete 75 lightroots found 257 korok seeds found About 60% of the way through the Hyrule Compendium without buying a single picture. Still not using a guide yet. When I get to the point where I'm having trouble progressing, I'll probably try and complete the game and once I've beaten it, I'll check to guides to see how much I've missed.
  20. I don't have the ability to play 7800 games which is the main reason why this might interest me. But for the price, I will probably pass.
  21. I'm good with the model I have, so I can easily pass on this one. Good luck to those going for it.
  22. I was always into their financial advice more than the actual music.
