  1. I've played through this game many times and it never gets old. However, I definitely need to play a version that allows me to "put in as many quarters as needed" to beat it. Definitely one of my favorite run and guns.
  2. Difficult to say for sure without giving it more thought, but I've never finished Metroid Zero Mission despite really enjoying the game. I've made it to the space pirate mothership on three different playthroughs, and yet I've never finished the game. Other than the "telling you where to go" aspect of the game, I've always really enjoyed the game. I need to finish it someday. Edit: Another game that came to mind before I went to sleep was Rad Racer. I loved that game back in the day and I still enjoy it today. I never managed to beat those later super difficult tracks.
  3. When are they going to make a game based off the Mario movie?
  4. Are you suggesting a VGS letterman jacket?
  5. My Duo arrived yesterday, and I was able to get it incorporated into my setup along with my other Analogue systems. All of my Hu cards and discs are working well, but unfortunately, my Everdrive is not reading at all. After a little research, it sounds like possibly only the TED Pro will work on the Duo, and mine is a non-Pro. I was not aware of this and was under the impression that all Everdrives would work on the Duo. As a check, I played my TED in my original Duo R just to make sure it was working properly and everything ran great. I'm hoping this is something that could be fixed with an update soon because my PC Engine collection is basically non-existent, and I intended to use the Duo with my TED. Another option would be a jailbreak with the option to play games from the SD card, but no word of that yet that I'm aware of. I've never done this with any of my other Analogue systems, because my Everdrives work on those systems just fine. Does anyone else have a non-Pro Turbo Everdrive? Have you been able to get it to work on your Analogue Duo? For the record, it fits fine into the Duo, when I remove the protective cover. So that is not the issue. It definitely plugs in, but the Duo doesn't show anything inserted at all.
  6. I'm eligible for several badges, but this is the one I'm most interested in. I'll request the other badges at a later time. I would like to request the badge: COLLECT - Systems: Sony PlayStation 50 I currently own slightly over 50% of the US PS1 library. I currently own 719/1,284 of the US PS1 titles. In addition to that, I also have 53% of the black label jewel case games, 52% of the greatest hits releases, 100% of the collector's editions and twin packs and 39% of the long boxes. I even have a small collection of Japanese imports. Maybe some day I can upgrade my badge to the gold version.
  7. This was the first game that popped into my head when I saw this thread. That game really does look great. I wouldn't describe the gameplay as "absolute garbage," but I will say I was disappointed that the game wasn't all that fun to play.
  8. 196 hours in Tear of the Kingdom....... and there is still so much left to do.
  9. I actually preferred season 2 to season 1, but just barely. If I were to rank them, I would say 2, 1, 4, 3. It's too early to rank 5, but it feels like it might land between 1 and 4. But to your point, even the "weakest" season is still fantastic and entertaining.
  10. I knew it was coming, but I forgot about it until last week. I was able to stream the first 4 episodes all in a row which was great, but now I'm caught up and I have to wait a week in-between episodes. Have you watched all of the previous seasons and the film? Fargo was one of my favorite movies of all time, so I was super excited when they announced the TV series, and I've been following the show since the first season. I consider the first two seasons to be some of the best television programming I've ever watched. I also really enjoyed seasons 3 and 4, but not nearly as much as the first two. Season 5 so far has been fantastic.
  11. I've been watching Fargo season 5. Halfway through the season as of last night. So far, I'm enjoying this season as much as seasons 1 and 2.
  12. I've never played any game in the Final Fantasy series.
  13. I had no opinion either way on 1, so I picked the second video because it looks slightly less annoying.
  14. It kinda looks like Super Mario RPG (the SNES version).
  15. That's a great setup. I'm also really into putting all of my cart based games into cases. I've been a member of the Cover Project since before I even joined Nintendo Age. Unfortunately, The Cover Project isn't extremely active anymore, but if you wanted to share your collection over there, the members that still hang around would probably love it. I love the uniformity of your cases. I go with a different style for each console for my collection, but I still love the way yours is presented. Very clean and organized which I always appreciate.
  16. I always had this issue with NBA Jam. I know everyone loves that game, but I never felt I had as much control over my players as I would have liked.
  17. I can't say whether it can be done or not, but I can say that the TG16/PCE fanbase is "unique" and nothing that comes from that group (good or bad) surprises me anymore.
  18. The Jurassic Park Classic Games Collection arrived from Limited Run Games yesterday. I had been looking forward to this game more than anything else from LRG in a long time. Fortunately, from pre-order to delivery was under 3 months, which is also the shortest delivery window for a LRG order for me in many years. The main reason I was looking forward to this game was because of the SNES version of Jurassic Park which was one of my favorite SNES games back in the day. I always believed that this game was underrated and that the Genesis version of JP got more attention due to the fact that you could play as the raptor. However, I still believe the SNES version of JP has much more going for it with much better gameplay. The biggest issue with SNES JP is that there is no save or password (or warp whistle) in a game that takes over 3 hours to complete if you know where you are going, and possibly over 10 hours if you are new to the game. I think this issue alone kept most people from enjoying what the game had to offer. The SNES JP included in the LRG Collection adds two new quality of life improvements that are extremely important. First, you can save your game anywhere you want. Second, a map of the island is included that you can pull up at any time. This really helped me out a lot. I had the island memorized as a kid, but there is no way I could have made my way around last night without the map. There are a few other new additions such as the ability to rewind and a sound test. And while a mini "manual" is included in the case, there is no version of the original manual for the game physically or digitally. The only other change to the game that I noticed is that the faces in the messages you receive are blurred out. The original game had the likenesses of the actors from the original JP movie in their respective messages, and I'm guessing they didn't have the permission to keep those in this version of the game. I managed to beat SNES JP last night in a little under 4 hours and it's technically the first time I've ever beaten it despite all of the hours I put into it as a kid. The collection includes: NES Jurassic Park SNES Jurassic Park SNES Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues Game Boy Jurassic Park Game Boy Jurassic Park 2: The Chaos Continues Genesis Jurassic Park Genesis Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition I haven't tried anything other than SNES JP, so I don't know what changes or quality of life improvement have been made to the other games. As a kid, I played a little bit of Genesis JP and SNES JP2, but I never owned either of those games.
  19. I agree it looks like 5th gen graphics, but it doesn't look like a building to me. It looks more like a robot wearing a backpack.
  20. Smaller community, but also smaller library. Also that smaller community is pretty dedicated (radicalized), so I would expect they can get everything working that they want to.
  21. I've never bothered with the jailbreaking of previous Analogue products because I've always just used my Everdrives, and I've never had any interest in running games from other systems, but I might look into it for the Duo, because I would rather not take the cover off my Turbo Everdrive.
  22. I've heard about this before, but I never really paid much attention to it. But it's funny that you bring it up because the other night I played through SMB3 for the first time in a few years, and decided to play every single level. I played through all 8 worlds, and completed every level including any level that could be skipped and every bonus round possible, and I did this in a single night. I was actually a little surprised how often I didn't win the roulette game, and several times, I could notice the delay in the wheel stopping. Having enough extra lives was never really a concern in this game, so I never really noticed or cared how often I didn't win this game. However, once you start to pay attention, it's easier to notice.
  23. I wish I could open my NES and SNES again for the first time. I love these pictures.
