  1. Just what I suspected! Thanks for the info
  2. The bag is most likely "real" but not "really real" if you get what I'm saying: This seller is too greedy and not smart enough to space out these sales. Again though, I just hope WATA is smart enough to spot reprint boxes when they come through their doors.
  3. I don't have any insight into this particular example but I can say this is a big concern of mine. All I can say is I hope the grading companies are able to, and actively look for, box reproductions as part of their process. I would expect them to do so for NES or SNES examples -- but I don't have much confidence that they could for older Atari titles. For what its worth -- I've never see these "Void if removed" or "Genuine Original" holo stickers before. The chances of this seller having 3 boxes/bags/inserts but no carts to sell seems beyond reasonable to be something authentic.
  4. Not looking to sell -- was just curious about the variation on the boxed console. Specifically -- did this console ship shrinked or what was in the auction 3rd party shrinkwrap? Mine, which I specifically purchased in the late 90s and intentionally never opened, is not shrinked and has only 1 'jaguar' holo sticker on the end flaps.
  5. I've got some sealed games I'd like to send to WATA but I can't quite figure out what they do with the plastic hanging tabs. I can't find any examples online and it looks like, with their new cases, that there isn't any room for these tabs. I kinda like these -- I'd rather keep them attached. Anybody know? (pokemon blue in new case for an example)
  6. Nice job. The set seems so small! Poor Wii U - good times were had on that system.
  7. I can't say for sure but this might help to confirm: https://twitter.com/KevEdwardsRetro/status/1662450769348403202?s=20
  8. Yes, that's what I was thinking. I assume a trustworthy source and accurate contents. Another one posted but no poster or registration card with this one. Magic Johnsons Fast Break https://twitter.com/KevEdwardsRetro/status/1662763702397947906?t=ZHRuVTqaKKbwRzxe3ISK1w&s=19
  9. Does these count as an unboxing? Original developer opening his personal items Silver Surfer for the NES https://twitter.com/KevEdwardsRetro/status/1662450769348403202?t=6FFWzy2hfs5chcOYGU8pag&s=19 Wolverine https://twitter.com/KevEdwardsRetro/status/1662109199109685250?t=H4p1As090LBbLgNfe0PhXA&s=19
  10. I have an original Jaguar console that I personally purchased in the late 90s but never opened. It is different from this auction: https://www.ebay.com/itm/185898755512?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=eBhkhbEITaq&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=hMVZmt5QQMy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Is anyone here a big Jaguar collector? Mine is not shrinked and I have only 1 jaguar sticker seal (the other end is glued) Just curious.
  11. I bought a boxed NES Mighty Final Fight on WhatNot after some drinks and not paying attention too well. Good news is its in good condition and I didn't already have it. Bad new is I paid pricecharting price for it.
  12. Got this one back today. Turn around time for Speedrun took less than a month. and just missed the cut off for the new cases.
  13. For what it's worth, I have found a WATA graded example of this game with a punch-out hangtag.
  14. Would be a high quality reproduction ( down to even adding some flaws to the box) but something about this looks "off" to me. Did early Capcom boxes have hangtabs? https://www.ebay.com/itm/134526737579?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=9uimis-7tsa&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=hMVZmt5QQMy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  15. I've got this one. Never seen another graded one. Not shrinked. It has clear, sticker seal on the flaps
  16. In general, the stickers won't impact -- the grading services will offer to remove stickers as part of their service -- but creases in the cardboard of any kind most definitely will. Just based on your description, I'd be concerned about it being a reseal. Also note that an ungraded sealed game is worth far less than a graded sealed game. The seller may be taking advantage of a perceived high value -- and keep in mind that if he really thought it was a mint & valuable game, he could submit the game to be graded himself.....
  17. I recently had a CGC graded pokemon card case come open and so I reached out to their support. I'm not too worried about the card - its not worth all that much -- but I did presume that CGC would be concerned about their cases opening (and opening without any sign of tampering). Seems to not be the case through -- only response I got back was "You'll need to resubmit for grading again"
  18. Anyone watching this auction? https://www.ebay.com/itm/285167466783 Is there this much demand for this just because its sealed? Anyone seen another one like this sell before?
  19. Nice. I only keep my subscription because it was such a big part of my growing up. Glad some of you clods also help keep them in business. If only I had collected Nintendo Powers like I collected Mads, I'd be a gadjillionaire
  20. This is the back cover from a recent Mad Magazine. (I doubt anybody here reads it, or maybe have even heard of it) but I thought everybody would appreciate this. FYI - This is a rehash of a joke from the magazine from back in '80s. Back then, the price tag was $49.99. Was funny then too.
  21. One challenge I have with these collection trackers is that I like to browse by Publisher. For example, I like to pull up the list of all Capcom games for the NES and see which ones I don't have (boxed) and which ones I do. I like to look across my Atari 2600 Activision games and see what items I may be missing Very much like the idea of tracking variants/ inserts and graded games from HA.
  22. Happy too. I've got a spreadsheet similar to the WATA's NES black box variants but for 2600 first party games (NTSC only). I have similar list for some 3rd party publishers (imagic, activision, parker bros, etc) but those are not near as complex. With each, I've tried to record which "box printing" would have included which inserts.
  23. I'm working on documenting CIB inserts with Atari games (in the same way people do for NES here) and let me tell you -- the NES is cakewalk when it comes to variants and paperwork. There must be others still collecting pretty strongly as whenever I need to track down a particular title, theres numerous other bids sniping me
