  1. I feel for you, I have a lot of good friends from my time on the other side of the river in Northern KY.
  2. I wouldn’t consider advisors or consultants “part” of any company unless they had significantly weaved financial interests.
  3. I was totally shocked when the Cubs took 2 out of 3 from the Reds earlier this month. The Reds are definitely a hard team to predict.
  4. I love this idea. I’d also probably throw crt related trouble shooting questions into the repair shop.
  5. Do you have data to support the organic growth of the particular segment? I’d be interested in seeing it.
  6. I’m hoping they get swept this weekend. I have nothing against the Reds, but the Cubs need the Marlins to start winning some games so that they can drop to the fifth pick.
  7. Given the nature of this specific business, hyping up the business is one thing, but basically hyping up the collecting industry which you grade games for and will directly profit from is another. In most cases, I’d agree with you, but some professions are, and should be, held to a higher standard. There’s a reason why the professional accounting industry became so heavily regulated after Enron and Worldcom.
  8. He mentions reviewed private correspondence as his proof and that’s it. I need to see receipts to believe it.
  9. I went back and reread my post that you replied to. I can see how it might be interpreted as I was saying you were lying. I post on my phone and it looks like my first sentence is a bit confusing. My intention was to say that I believed what you were saying, but that the referenced SEC filings don’t actually prove that. Once again, I’m sorry if it came across as me accusing you of lying or spinning something. I was intending to explain what the filings actually represented.
  10. I’m sorry to hear you are out. I can understand not wanting to be attacked for having a point of view. I think it’s perfectly acceptable to have differing opinions on things without thinking the other person is horrible. I usually just say ignore people who may be offending you. If it seems like that is the vast majority of the population, then it makes sense to part ways. This is just my two cents. Personally, I think some of the stuff could be perceived as unethical, even if not in actuality. That is a concern in a profession where your reputation is the source of your value. I am beaten over the head with ethics and independence training as a CPA. So, I try to stay on the more conservative side so as to not risk my license.
  11. It’s supposed to be fine from my understanding, but my wife is super cautious about things and doesn’t trust most doctors based on some experiences. I respect her decisions and as a result, she stays out of public other than a few outdoor occasions like my son’s baseball rec lessons this summer.
  12. Thank you for responding to this thread. I know you didn’t have to. I’m sorry if it came across as me trying to spin things. That was not my intention. I apologize if it appeared that way to you. I was only trying to point out that the other SEC filings were not amendments so your statement saying that they were was technically not correct and that it isn’t evidence of you leaving WATA. I am not implying anything beyond that. I want to be clear that I am not calling you a liar, just letting everyone know what the forms actually represent. I do not know you, and I have no axe to grind with anyone. I wish you nothing but the best.
  13. I don’t doubt that Dain saying that he left, but those aren’t amended SEC filings. They are different issuances of unregistered securities and show the relevant parties of the company at time of the issuance. An amended filing will say it is an amendment. I do SEC filings for a living. Edit: Look at item 7 in these filings. They are all new, never did they select amended.
  14. My wife is breastfeeding a 6 month old and is concerned about getting the vaccine while breastfeeding. The other two kids are 3 and 5. They can’t get vaccinated. I’m the only one working and going out of the house. Therefore, I’m really the only exposure risk to them. Hopefully, I won’t get it since I’m vaccinated.
  15. I found this video to be pretty cringe worthy. There are a lot of immature leaps to judgement here. Ok, he’s trying to flatter the judge talking about the ties, but it’s pretty much a nothing burger. How do we know that Melanie Griffith wasn’t someone affiliated with the case proceedings? Assuming that he’s naming dropping a has been celebrity on a judge to show his importance seems like a huge leap. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a Billy Mitchell fan. However, the video makes some pretty foolish looking statements and assumptions.
  16. Welcome! I really liked your game room pic that you shared.
  17. 6/10 It’s a fun movie to kill some time with and I’ll watch it if on tv and there’s nothing new and interesting on.
  18. One time I left negative feedback on a guy that didn’t like the auction price I won a R.O.B. set at and resold it instantly for a higher price. I left negative feedback and eBay cancelled the feedback and gave me some BS excuse that I leave negative feedback too often even though I’ve only done it once in 10 years. I followed up with eBay saying that wasn’t true but they never got back to me.
  19. I went to a small luncheon at work to celebrate a coworker’s work anniversary and I got a call this morning that one of the people had COVID. It was my first time at a restaurant since the pandemic and I even told my wife that I was nervous about it. I’m vaccinated, but my wife and three little kids are not.
  20. What kind of bookcases are those? I like the spacing between the rows. Did you add extra shelves?
  21. I agree, but I don’t personally have a problem with people who don’t appreciate the games collecting. Yes, the spike in games has stopped me from collecting vintage games. It’s sad for me, but it has allowed for me to focus on other interests like getting a top of the line tv and building a nice movie collection. I probably watch more movies than playing games now a days anyway with three little kids and work.
  22. To be fair, I don’t think that the video doubts all sales. It seems to point to creating a frenzy that has led to a rapid increase in demand for these sealed games which may just be reactionary because of the self generated hype.
