  1. I bought the pre-assembled version. Since my Analogue NT noir is acting up again it’ll be nice to have a backup for it just in case. I’ve got a couple boxed NES consoles I can throw this in. $10 for USPS ground advantage. It also says preorder but the delivery date ETA is 4/22 so I’m not sure what preorder means. Will report back
  2. Price seems sort of high but cool to see a MM6 G6 out there: https://www.ebay.com/itm/126432729585?itmmeta=01HVHSEAS5YKPF454DME0GVW3S&hash=item1d6ffa59f1:g:Yh4AAOSwE8BmHWuS&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwK%2FM2tYgUgdFgUUOOZzoZv5eaITQ5xFVqrBr6TD%2BszWR91uTcPI1%2B%2BTlf1i7CZpzZzwNYC0yjiKaxr36ZGJmY3315P%2F1OcgUpEUCd6OjOw%2FxLgIT4HHse8KRT3Yx7I1PSBQYPi8o8Ra8yWKIejCL1S6ae1aum%2B8OXfYAO4JFkxfJgMha%2Bio6JS6Ppnv1zcivN8369LjU4ztSnKoLxPnLwAe1DmdQ43JrzJkadc1YaTQXTxQMgqySId3IDyDYOb%2FMzw%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR86subncYw Back shell is odd though, USA version with a strange back.
  3. I took that into account after I beat the boss if you look at my score in the picture it’s higher than what I actually used for my score. I actually had 112k and some change but rounded down in fairness
  4. Correction I’m spending the $30 on the prebuilt and not soldering 228 pins
  5. If I was still on a toaster for $20 I’d probably give it a go. I’ve spent $20 on worse lol
  6. Ok so I missed the pause after I beat the second boss so my score was 112,000 before the time bonus on the clear stage and I had one life and 2 health bars left so 112,000 + 1,000 + 10,000 = 123,000
  7. Obviously if you just trust companies to act ethically, they always will! /s
  8. Oh I can be even lazier I play on a Analogue NT mini so I just hit select + start
  9. 4,990. I probably would have done more runs on this but dying once and then having to enter the password again every time is a super drag
  10. 10/10. I’m with the SMB3 crew here it’s definitely S-tier Mario/video game but SMB3 will always be my favorite Mario. That said they are both easily on my favorite games of all time list. SMW is my introduction to one of the best systems of all time imo
  11. Watch out for this party animal over here
  12. I mean in reality like how many people are even searching for a 5 screw mega man besides a bunch of us nerds? Although I have been scavenging eBay for something like 2 years for a N7 nba basketball so who knows maybe there are more than I think
  13. Truth be told I didn’t actually vote on a lot of them. I’m not well played on the genesis library so I tried not to vote where I didn’t have experience. On the flip side, I’ve played enough to know Sonic 2 is a great game lmaoooo I mean cmon most people only see what’s next to play on Genesis after they are done with Sonic, it’s the main draw to the system
  14. I saw an eBay listing for a 5 screw Mega Man for $8,500 I feel like that is just someone fishing for a whale, I’m not even sure the real value would be half of that. Agree or disagree?
  15. Bunch o cranky people just trying to be different by saying Sonic 2 isn’t a good game. Plus y’all NA refugees just hate on Sega lmao
  16. Just a heads up you may also post those NFRs in our FS/FO forum as someone here might be interested in them. Can’t attest to what you should look for in value though. If someone was specifically looking for them you could charge a premium because they are indeed rare versions of common games. I think the most likely reason for those stickers was they were sold to Nintendo employees
  17. This person has a graded version of the Metroid up for $2k but just because it’s listed at that price doesn’t mean it will sell. What I meant is I don’t think you’d make much more going through the hassle of grading them vs selling them raw. Obviously the NFR should sell for more than the others but use ebay sold rather than price charting to determine value for those. https://www.ebay.com/itm/375224939548
  18. These are all common titles and they are all only Complete in Box or CIB since the way you describe it all the seals have been broken or fully removed. I wouldn’t bother grading them and just sell for as close to price charting as I could. Searching eBay sold listings may net better results.
  19. Never played it but the general consensus I’ve seen is if you dig FromSoftware games Sekiro is a must play. Plus you should be able to get it for less than $20 on console and probably less on Steam so I think it’d be worth it. I wouldn’t let one cranky review sway me lol
  20. Doesn’t even have those anymore, just 4x HDMI. Pretty much all TV makers are killing off RCA ports and just going HDMI which makes sense in this day and age. The RetroTink does that though where the green input is a shared input for the video cable on composite.
  21. I did some TV swapping around the house - new 77” C3 OLED upstairs so I had an extra 65” TV that the 77” replaced. Decided after offering it up to everyone I know to replace the one of the game room TVs with it which is an old Sony XBR 55”. Problem is I used it for retro gaming and it still had composite RCA input and the 65” Vizio didn’t have that port. I figured that port is probably dead now so I picked up a RetroTink 5x Pro to scale up the systems running on a composite 8 to 1 switch to HDMI. Updating the firmware now and curious to see how the systems look up scaled.
  22. Thanks to all those who replied and shared their wisdom. I think at this point it’s either a consolized/supergun MVS for me or trying something emulated as the price to get into this just seems pretty steep for basically fighting games and Metal Slug. I’m not sure I will take the plunge unless something really comes up that makes it worthwhile. Thanks again to everyone who posted!
  23. Just an update to this - a firmware update was posted on 3/29 that seems to resolve this although I dunno I still think it acts janky but definitely better than before. Keep your firmware up to date kids
