  1. Not exactly what you're going for... but I hit up a new Game Store in Campbell CA the other week. The first floor of the building is a "barcade" called LVL Up: https://www.yelp.com/biz/lvl-up-campbell-2 The second floor has another arcade / game space (expansion of the bar?) as well as a new retro game store, "The Retro Fix": https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/502790810318085/ While I haven't been there to experience the night life, the Retro Fix owner tells me that it's a pretty chill place. I hope it does well, seems pretty great and I grabbed a handful of eagerly-wanted NES titles on my first and only visit. So it's not quite the one-stop shop that you wanted, but it's pretty damn close.
  2. Very late to this but I received my cart and was very pleased I received it well before xmas but put it under the tree, nearly forgetting about it. Thank you very much! Keep up the good work.
  3. yeah that price is ridiculous. As for everything else, belongs there.
  4. Didn't get a lot of time this week, but wanted to post this {participation} score from Tuesday before the day gets way from me. 79,640
  5. That’s a hell of a deal. That 60 in one Jamma has its flaws but is a very popular one. The board alone costs half of what you paid. Very jealous assuming it actually arrives
  6. Same here, should have added that... I didn’t have any Atari co soles growing up.
  7. Atari 2600 by and far. As I get older, with more familial obligations, the quick nature of early 8-bit games meshes best with what limited free time I have. While there are a lot of stinkers on the console, the library is HUGE and there are some truly amazing titles, even outside of the obvious Activision releases.
  8. That was my impression as well. And please know that I wasn't trying to disparage MinusWorlds by calling him out like this. Others sung his praises too, but those seemed mostly limited to the few that got freebies from him.
  9. Not to mention our resident "old head". He was a great guy to have around.
  10. Say what you will about Loxx... but when he gets drunk, his Food Fight scores are legendary.
  11. I figured it was a tightly-guarded secret, as many sellers would refuse gift / family payments because they didn't think they could print shipping labels at reduced rates without a sale. Glad to hear that the word is spreading. Receiving packages from VGS buddies and seeing that they paid USPS counter rates is... painful.
  12. The following showcases the whole of my GB{C} collection at this point, and likely for years to come. Thus, I plan to start joining in starting this week but will be emulating on my Nvidia shield portable. Hopefully you'll accept me

    NNNNNN

Amazing to hear about this. Was a big fan of the PC version, though somehow it's no longer in my Steam account or otherwise on my PC.
  14. Ditto for my childhood game boy printer... RIP indeed. In a similar note, for those like me that frequent thrift stores, ALWAYS check for corrosion. Getting something home that’s a goner can be heartbreaking.
  15. Thanks, and yep. Hopefully as the dust settles (figuratively and literally) around the house, I'll be able to be a more serious contender next time!
  16. Very nice! This reminds me that I need to do something with the donkey Kong board game at some point. Framing isn’t quite enough...
  17. It’s in a plastic self-standing protector too... mostly because I can’t stand things touching my TVs, lol (wii sensor bar obviously excluded)
  18. It's Saturday already and sadly, the few runs between last night and today may be all I have time for Balloon Fight - 104,400 Balloon Trip - 17,420
  19. i agree on this point. I get genuinely excited when I come across them. That being said, unless they have particular games on them (I never remember the big ones), the value doesn't follow the rarity. I always assume $10-$30 for NES bootlegs, personally never paying more than $20.
  20. I've bought dozens of commons over the years and always received exactly what I paid for. I'd imagine that the chances of mistakes happening on more expensive games is far less than trash commons. That being said, it's been at least 2 years since my last order, so I can't speak of recent experience.
