  1. Also Super Mario Bros 3, Adventure Island, Formation Z and Pac-Land never came out for the FDS So those are bootleg ports!
  2. That one's not mine I found it online, but yeah they definitely all had Nintendo stamps on the disks. You would bring a retail disk to the kiosk and it would copy a new game on it and you'd put the new label on so you knew what you had on that disk. I guess what you have is "3rd party" disks lol. This is a list I have of Disk Writer exclusive games that weren't released at retail, if anyone's interested Akunsenki Raijin All 1 Bomberman Burgertime Clocks Clu Clu Land Dig Dug Dig Dug II Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Jr Eggerland Souzou heno Tabidachi Galaga Galaxian Goonies Ice Climber Ishidou Janken Disk Jou Kaettekita Mario Bros Kinekoll Lutter Moon Ball Magic Pac-Man Pachicom Panic Space Pinball Puyo Puyo Puzzle Boys SD Gundam World Gachapon Senshi Scramble Wars SD Gundam World Gachapon Senshi Scramble Wars Map Collection Solomon no Kagi Super Lode Runner II Tanigawa Kouji no Syougishinan II Tsumeshogi/Tsugi no Itte Twinbee Wrecking Crew Xevious
  3. Disk Writer games came with a fold out manual and label stickers to put on the existing disk. Although I'm not sure if they were available at the kiosk or had to be sent away by mail?
  4. Am I the only one who didn't know the Castlevania Game Boy title is called Castlevania: The Adventure? And not The Castlevania Adventure? I was looking it up as a launch title, but apparently it came out for Christmas '89
  5. Check out your Member Rank on the side of your post! Maybe you shouldn't post anymore and keep it at 69 experience lol
  6. Really cool find! How come the sticker on the back says Rev-A and is also 5 screw? New sticker stuck on existing cartridge shell during the transitional period?
  7. Wow did you notice any differences from the original hardware? Look pretty legitimate.
  8. The guys from the My Life In Gaming YouTube channel have another channel Video Game B-Roll and this is 100% the kinda thing they would rip. I assume they have a great VHS ripping setup as they are into high quality video. Edit: I also second the idea of @Ferris Bueller doing the transfer. I hadn’t read his comment when I wrote this
  9. @Gloves Do we get VGS Valentine's Day contest participant baubles for this? I don't think I have the time or will power to get in the top 3 lol
  10. You would think wives / fiancés / girlfriends would like you playing Chubby Cherub all Valentine's Day. But then you would be wrong.
  11. Just trying to get on the board! Stage 5 Stop - 11,040
  12. Yeah but right now it's a race to who beats it, right? Low score is secondary until we have some completionists in the house
  13. Also @Jeevan I think @RegularGuyGamer is #1 now, he updated his post
  14. Good call, I was looking at the rules on Speedrun.com and they wrote it loops after Stage 16 by mistake. But looking at the video you're right it's after 12.
  15. Lol yeah I have to go over it again to appreciate its nuances. A lot of editing and searching went into it
  16. So getting further in the game trumps getting a low score right? For instance someone with Stage 16 and 8000 points beats someone with Stage 15 and 7000 points right? I have the Famicom version but @Tulpa’s comment scared me. Is it really that much harder? He’s a ghost in the original version huh?
  17. The screwdriver bits are pretty easy to get on eBay here's one for instance. 3.8mm opens NES and SNES games, and the 4.5mm opens Genesis games. But there are exceptions that it won't open such as unlicensed games, some early NES games, and EA Genesis games.
  18. Is this a reference to the Future song? That’s really cool if it is. Also, I wanted to ask! What hardware/software do you use to transfer a ROM to a donor cartridge? Is it expensive and do they make software for Mac? And how complicated is it for someone to learn who doesn’t have experience yet with CHRs, PRGs and MMC5s? Lol
  19. Okay I’ll post some more when I get a chance to sit down and check them! Are you doing any beta testing on your site? I wouldn’t mind uploading them directly there
  20. As far as the question goes I think it often pays off to take a risk on eBay items others don’t feel comfortable bidding on. I just bagged Civilization for SNES for $10 plus shipping because the seller forgot to upload the front photo and just had a pic of the back of the cartridge. Bad photos and inadequate titles are one of the best ways to find deals on eBay. Only bad thing about getting deals is it slightly lowers the value of the item on price charting when it tracks it.
  21. I actually found my fiancé on a dating site and she didn’t post a photo
