Hey Morbis, we're referring to the rebate stripe:

You can find similar for DuckTales and Rescue Rangers, not aware of others.

Oh, I see, I've never really thought of those diagonal advert bars as "stripes."  When I think "stripeless" I'm thinking about the red stripe at the top of late era NES games.  But I see what you mean, this is kind of like the Ring King that's really hard to find without the yellow diagonal "Stripe" 🙂

Some had the stripe but no words, like Mickey Mousecapade. I think Mega Man 3 as well.

Correct. The late MM3 and Mousecapade releases both have the yellow stripe graphic, but no promo text. They are definitely the laziest major box alterations on the NES.

I give that title to the spaces added between T and V on the cover of Win, Lose Or Draw.

Ikari Warriors 2:

I upgraded these and ended up with no dates on the new ones, with no carts to help date them as I bought as IB. Is a safe assumption that they are earlier ones? I see Bootgod has a Contra board with mid 1988 dates. Is the 1987 rule a Nintendo thing? What's the earliest third party date you have for IB @Code Monkey?

I would have to go through all of them to specifically see third party dates, I don't have them separated. This will be something you'll be able to filter by when I'm done.

No wonder it’s so rare...

printed at the end of November so it barely made it in time for Christmas when it got on shelves on average 3 weeks later than the print date, well after when most parents finished their shopping ... in 1993 when the SNES was basically in its prime in virtually every Nintendo loving household.
