0xDEAFC0DE | 1,277
Qix is done I recently played the arcade version and this one is much easier. Well that rounds out the last of the GB games I own. Good luck to the rest of you!

T-Pac | 7,539 Graphics Team ·
Bubble Bobble is completed! I played through the default 100 stages (I think the completion chart needs to be altered - it says there are only 60 levels @Splain), assuming the unlockable hard loop isn't required. Also, I know there are good and bad endings on the NES version, but that doesn't seem to be the case for the GB port - can anyone confirm? -CasualCart

I don't know if anyone here is KeyBlade666, but you know that if a game's FAQ is by that guy, it's very likely to be low-effort or at least a bit uninformed. And he did a lot of FAQs! I'll try and find out about good/bad endings, but for now I'll just mark it complete.
beatthegameboy | 10
Chess master beat. I assumed it be harder. Nice break after skate or die.
beatthegameboy | 10
Bart Simpson Escape from Camp Deafly beat. Easiest Simpson game I’ve played but outside if a few annoying bits, a good fun platformer.
Gaia Gensouki | 1,073
Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge is done. I love this game, even if it's inferior to the NES original. It just holds such a sentimental value for me.
Splain | 2,569 Editorials Team ·
Ayy that's 100 US games! (117 counting all the EU titles) I'm almost done with Tetris Plus. I made it past the stage I was stuck on forever ago, and I'm stumbling through the last few. Edit: I finished it! I know this isn't a big deal, but this game has been on my hit list for a long time. Take that, Tetris Plus. Whoa, this SP is busted AND dirty. Edited February 24, 2020 by Splain 1
Gaia Gensouki | 1,073
And I'm continuing with Mega Man III. Whereas the first Mega Man on the Game Boy got me hooked, it was this one that was not only the first Mega Man game, that I owned, but also one of the first games that i ever got for myself. I even still have my copy from well over 20 years ago.
Splain | 2,569 Editorials Team ·
I beat Super Battletank. There's a dozen reasons why this game is bad, but for some reason I liked it. The whole game is muddy Game-Boy-rendered photographs. Here's the ending:
arnpoly | 198
I'm at Level 52/120 in QBillion. Gonna be chipping away at it for awhile but I expected to finish it sometime this year.

I beat the CPU in Serpent but the manual says there are special endings if you win with a perfect 7-0, with a different ending per difficulty level. So I'm going to check that out and see if the requirement needs changing. Edit: The "bonus" ending screens are so trivial that they're not worth the insane amount of luck you'd need to get a 7-0 victory. Not required. Splain | 2,569 Editorials Team ·
Finished Torpedo Range. This game definitely has its quirks but I think it's great! At least a Top 75 game for me.

koifish | 555
Very close to 100k in Vegas Stakes, at which point I will be able to go to the no limits betting casino. Should accelerate the race to 10 million quite handily. I'm recently somewhat taken with the idea of all these game companies that existed almost exclusively to develop or port games to GB from other platforms, especially the "throwaway" games like sports ports or movie/tv license vehicles. Makes me curious to see if any of the people involved would agree to an interview about what it was like working on those kinds of projects. We frequently call them wasted space or shovelware, I wonder what they thought when they were making them!

BriGuy82 | 768
Guys listen... I got the newest ips v2 mod on my DMG. It's like a religious experience playing games. I had a backlit bivert mod before this and now I literally can never go back. I cannot recommend it enough if you are looking to play on the DMG. It's as if you were playing in braille before this. It's amazing.

Do you choose the palette somehow?

Very thorough and interesting imo. Edited March 11, 2020 by BriGuy82
Gaia Gensouki | 1,073
Mega Man V is done as well. This is an original entry in the series, afaik, and a really good one as well. For the most part it's also a really fair game except for the few instances where you drop down a ledge and might eventually get killed by spikes. This is really lame. On the other hand the final boss fights were quite intense. Then I also completed Magical Taruruuto-kun, a Japan-exclusive. I got this one time from a retro game convention when I couldn't find anything interesting or reasonably priced. So shortly before I was leaving I noticed a few Game Boy boxes in really good condition with fair prices and picked this one up. It's pretty much a rip off of Super Mario Land since platforming levels are interspersed with shoot 'em up sections. Overall it's not quite as fun as SML, but it still plays quite well, looks pretty good and has some unusually good pieces of music. Just give this one a listen or the part at 13:24, which is the boss theme:
Splain | 2,569 Editorials Team ·
Nice, we'll make all JPN games worth 2.5 across the board... and as I type that, I realize that's not a good average since the minimum point value is 1, not 0... so they should be worth 3 pts. I'll change it. I updated the board to be more dark-mode friendly, still working out some formatting stuff there. 1
