I agree, Waterworld isn't bad. I haven't played the SNES Waterworld, but I've played the VB one, which gets a lot of shade for being basically Asteroids but commanding $100+. The GB one is a completely different game, and I don't mind it.

Edit: oh you were talking about VB Waterworld lol. I don't mind that one either. It's very immersive if you're playing on a real VB.

I went ahead and did my annual duty as the only Tesserae player in the world. One of the best ending screens on the GB.

Yup I've never touched the other ones, but I do own the VB one and it's pretty fun when you're playing it as it was intended.  I guess Asteroids makes sense, but in a way it's almost like a reverse tower defense of sorts, or like an endless space combat sim defense/escort mission picking off enemy fighters.

Great Greed finished. Really enjoyed it and married Citrus. Zoop still working on but damn it gets hard.

Nice, great to see you back in the thread. And dude, I tried Zoop for a while last year, and I just couldn't get through. I got close a couple times. I had been starting on level 9 directly, but it might be a good idea to start before that so that you have a supply of springs going into 9. But I was bad at level 8 too so I never really put together a real winning strategy.

Seriously. I can get 7 pretty easy starting from 1, but it gets brutal after that. I'll keep poking at it, but I have to play something else too or I'd get burnt out.

I feel if I start contributing on this I almost have to call a game out so it doesn't get gobbled up. 😄

Do it! I'm expecting to work on a handful of games that are quick enough that it's no biggie if someone beats me to them, with the exception of Tetris Plus. I'm determined to beat that one. I can pound out Tetris all day, but for some reason I've never managed to beat the final levels of Tetris Plus. The professor guy is SO DUMB. My cart needs a new battery though, so I'll change it tonight and get cracking.

I should, and right now I'm motivated.  You saw in the pick up thread what I got back in my hands, and it's right here on the table next to me, as is my TFT lit up GBC too, and the DMG kit will arrive next week sadly it appears so that as well.  I'll have much GB on hand.

There's only 5 levels in the GB version of Marble Madness apparently. I looped it a few times to see if level 6 would show up, but it didn't. Very cheesey compared to the NES version which is one of my favorites.

As far as I can tell there are only two good console ports of Marble Madness: the NES one, and the Japanese-exclusive version published by Tengen (not Electronic Arts) for Mega Drive.

Everything else is trash: Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Master System, Game Gear, etc. The Electronic Arts port for Genesis is maybe barely passable, but it really has no excuse for not being as good as the Tengen version.

(Too bad the PC Engine port didn't come out -- that one looked likely to be good.)
