  1. Sounds like you got back doored big time. Happened to me once on a rare item and the seller had the audacity to resell it shortly after I won/paid for it. Ebay of course would do nothing.
  2. At least it didn't come with strangers in the basement.........
  3. Just a reminder that tonite there will be a total lunar eclipse (aka a blood moon) which should be visible (barring local conditions) throughout the continental U.S.

  5. One of my favorite character actors. He was in better known films (Alcatraz, Top Gun and Tremors) - but I liked this one the best:
  6. I got 2 books from bitmap yesterday - one of them is titled "The Games That Weren't" - one of the games covered was a game for the Vectrex based on the Dark Tower board game. This of course made me curious and I found this video - apparently the prototype survived and someone created documentation for it.
  7. Actually not - towards the end of WWII the Russians* launched a counteroffensive against Finnish (and some Nazi) forces around Leningrad - they greatly outnumbered the Finns and pushed them well back into Finland. The Winter War of 1939-1940 was another story (for awhile anyway) - the Russian forces greatly outnumbered the Finnish forces and they thoroughly thrashed the Russians in the harsh winter. The Russians re-organized, resupplied and changed their strategy so they could take advantage of their numerical superiority. The Finns were then forced to surrender. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ *In August of 1941 Stalin asked Roosevelt to arrange restoration of peaceful relations with Finland and offered to return territories to Finland. In what was a serious mistake (in hindsight) the Finns refused - driven by hatred of the Soviets and at the time it seemed that the Germans would win.
  8. You are indeed welcome! I check playasia's pre-orders at least once a week to see what may be coming up in the future.
  9. I haven't played them - but playasia has a us physical release listed - no release date listed though. I will likely pick it up from the us source when announced.

  14. If you aren't famiiar with them the tiny epic games are some really cleverly designed games in small boxes - about the size of an SNES box. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weird -when I stick the link in google it comes up properly (I retried it here again with the same result). This should work https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coe/tiny-epic-vikings"
  15. @darkchylde28 If you haven't read it this is an interesting alternate Civil War trilogy - the point of divergence is when one of the Laird rams is tranferred to the CSA and when this is happening a Union warship comes on the scene and engages the Laird ram - a British warship shows up and assumes that the Laird ram is still a British ship which is being attacked. Game on! https://www.amazon.com/Britannias-First-Trilogy-3-book-series/dp/B074BDZH4T (The trilogy is actually named Brittanias Fist Trilogy.)
