  1. Wow, really? Well in that case, I am honored to be the one that made the suggestion which lead to that, haha. It looks amazing! I figured the Castlevania sprites would work well for spooky season and it looks like I figured correctly, love how this one turned out!
  2. @Br81zad @Jeevan@Makar @Aristophanes @SpoonMan Abrams X @Rhapsody98 @Kalebrok @Avgn Gamer @BeccaAnne @Romiked2689 @MadamRadness69 @werewolfzelda5 @Link @Kguillemette @B.A. @WalterWhiteJr. @Wasg13 @PuppyWaffles @Alder @Murray @drxandy @Hammerfestus @MagusSmurf @BattySalem @Generic @ExplosiveEmu @Tulpa @NESfiend @Bettington Bear @DK @BlackVega @Dragonite @FireHazard51 @MashFan81 @LambBrainz @Scrobins @andrew244 @BortLicensePlate @Fluff @Grondorr @Nesfanatic @Ted Playa @MasterBigCat @nesking80 @Bronty @Alakhira @ap123 @Hybrid @Boosted52405 @ZeldaFan042 @RH @0xDEAFC0DE @doner24 @behemos @Vectrex28 @zi @Erlo @KokiriChild @Richardhead Figured I'd toss out some pings just to make sure everyone who might be interested is aware that we're starting a new game Also, just double checking but was this you actually signing up for the game @Gloves? Just want to make sure there's no confusion just in case you didn't intend to actually sign up.
  3. This more or less sums up my thoughts
  4. Can't quote apparently so screenshots will have to suffice, haha. I live in the midwest now but was born in Texas, and yeah, don't go, it sucks. He's right. Heeey, someone else who likes Primer, nice. Primer is awesome, and I never thought of viewing Tenet through the lens of it being an unofficial sequel to Primer but now I'm never gonna be able to unsee that, haha. Also a big fan of Tenet, but then again I'm a huge fan of Nolan in general so it figures. It's extremely validating to see that someone who's super in to horror's two favorite horror movies are the same as mine, haha. The Thing is one of my favorite films of all time in general, and The Lighthouse is one of my favorite horror films of all time, probably also number 2 behind The Thing for me. Love everything about both films, as different as they are. I mean I'd be alright with that, I think that's the second time someone's mentioned me in one of these. I dunno if it'd be a super entertaining read though, I'm not a particularly interesting or exciting person.
  5. I WAS NEVER ACCUSING YOU I WAS JUST SUSPICIOUS, AS YOU SHOULD BE IN ANY GAME OF WEREWOLF
  6. I mean it is my second favorite series behind Legend of Zelda
  7. I mean, might be kinda sacrilegious to say on this site, but yeah, B-tier NES or Game Boy games are a pretty specific subset of games, and a subset of games I'm honestly not all that familiar with in regards to sprites and whatnot. Most of the games I enjoy are 16-bit and up (My profile pic guy has an SNES controller on his belt for a reason, haha) and games older than that era that I like are generally more popular ones, in which later entries in those franchises have the same enemies portrayed as art and/or in much more detailed sprites, or are otherwise just already popular enough to have those sprites be portrayed in a more detailed manner in one form or another. Plus RH is also correct, even for some of the more obscure games, a lot of the time the sprites within the games were portrayed as significantly more detailed art in the manuals, boxes, on the cartridge itself, etc, which defeats the purpose of what you're going for. So yes, I would indeed say that is a very specific set of criteria, haha. The reason I hadn't submitted any suggestions was because I understood what you were going for, and knew I wouldn't be able to come up with anything good just off the top of my head like with past Ink-tobers. With that said, I did do a good bit of digging, and I think I did find a few half-decent suggestions, finally. As far as I could tell, these all either have no art of them I could find whatsoever, or if it does exist, there's at least very little of it, and most of them also don't appear to have more detailed sprites in later entries or anything, so this is probably about as good as I can do. Apologies if any of these have been suggested before, you've done quite a few of these now to the point where I'm not able to keep track of past suggestions any more, haha. --- Towers Guardian from Castlevania: Legends Fuzz Buster from Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse Creeper and Under Mole, both from Castlevania: The Adventure and Phantom Warrior, Witchi Wench, and Cannon, all from Kid Dracula Thankfully the Castlevania series has some pretty obscure enemies once you do a bit of digging, otherwise I would've truly had zero ideas for suggestions, haha. Hopefully that'll all suffice.
  8. You DIDN'T like the way the first one turned out?! That looks awesome! I would, but to be honest, sprites no larger than 32x32 which have never been artistically represented as anything other than the sprite itself is a very specific set of criteria, the vast majority of the games I've ever played are either well past the era of sprites, the sprites within the game are larger than that, or there's plenty of official and unofficial art of the sprites, so honestly I don't really think I'd be able to come up with any good suggestions for this year that haven't already been suggested in past Ink-tobers, that's why I haven't thrown my hat in to the ring. I'll keep wracking my brain and see if I can come up with something good, but I wouldn't really get your hopes up honestly, it's been in the back of my mind ever since this thread was posted and thus far I've come up with exactly 0 good suggestions.
  9. Honestly, I'm fine with it, give some other people a crack at it, fresh sets of eyes. Plus, y'know, it helps that Warren Ellis is apparently a really horrid person so it's kind of hard for me to feel bad about it, haha. Breaking Bad's showrunner was Vince Gilligan, but Better Call Saul's showrunner was Peter Gould, and while they're both very different, they're both equally amazing. Best case scenario would be a similar thing happening here.
  10. Castlevania: Dracula X was one of the first video games I can remember ever playing, and by extension was my first Castlevania game. I'm 22, and this probably would've been over 15 years ago by now. Seeing as how Richter was the Belmont of that particular game, I am beyond hyped. When Divine Bloodlines kicked in during that trailer, ESPECIALLY when the choir kicked in, I legitimately started getting a little teary-eyed. Been awhile since anything has given me that genuine, child-like sense of glee. When the first series premiered, as much as I adored it, I always imagined how cool something like this would be, but I never in a million years thought it would actually happen.
  11. I'd also recommend https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Disaster_Artist_(film) Right afterwards. Gives you a new perspective on the whole, uh... experience.
  12. Uh, no https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Room THAT The Room, haha. Absolute classic of American cinema, I would recommend it to anyone.
  13. I don't think I've ever seen any piece of fiction or played any game I would outright rank a 0/10 (Other then perhaps The Room if I were to actually rank it objectively, but that gets a 10/10 in a different way, haha.) Maybe I'm just too easy to please.
  14. Nah, it's more so just about making sure you've read your rolecard and are ready for the beginning of the game, since I don't want anyone getting blindsided by the game starting, and I want to ensure everyone is ready to participate when the game begins.
  15. Can confirm he was lying, I only just now sent out the rolecards. Dunno what's up with that Awesome, will do! Always very happy to have at least ONE backup. Anyway, the main thread has been posted and all rolecards (should) have been sent out! Please confirm you've received and read your rolecard here, and we can begin the game later tonight: Also, @Richardhead since you're brand new to Werewolf, I invited you to the Werewolf Club, which is where all the actual games take place. Once you join the club, you'll be able to see the main thread
  16. Well damn, glad I pushed back the start date, that's all 18 slots filled! I went ahead and put Kokiri down on the playerlist since even though you chimed in first, he did confirm he'd like to play if there was room, whereas you were on the fence, but if you'd like I can put you down as a back-up, just let me know! I would direct you to this post I made many games back to give you a general overview of what Werewolf is all about. Obviously this is how a standard game works, this particular game is a bit different with the 3 phases and assimilations and whatnot, but this should still give you a good idea of what generally to expect: This page on MafiaScum is also helpful to give a general explanation of what the game is: https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Game_of_Mafia I mean I know he's at least been an indie before, haha. So, I'll go ahead and say the new start date will be Sunday, September 3rd at 10 PM EST if that works OK for everyone! I'll send out everyone's rolecards a couple days ahead of time to make sure everyone is ready beforehand
  17. Hoping we can squeeze in one or two more sign-ups! I'll definitely push back the start date a bit, just to... well, maybe squeeze in one or two more sign-ups, haha.
  18. Oh yeeeaaah, you posted your rolecard in the public thread last game. I honestly forgot about that, it's been so long. Eh, yeah I'm willing to let it slide for this game, I think (well, hope) you've learned your lesson on that. Personally, I don't think breaking the rules a single time warrants an outright ban on participation. However, that is one of the most basic rules of Werewolf: 3. You may not quote private information (either real or fabricated) of any kind. This includes information discussed in any private chats, neighborhoods, PMs, etc. Paraphrasing (for role claims, etc.) is acceptable. Stating the actual name of your role (or claimed role) is also acceptable. Don’t take screenshots of your role, don’t cheat and PM other players (unless your role allows it). If you are unsure, ask first. Or, in other words, you're not allowed to copy-paste/screenshot and share any part of your ACTUAL rolecard publicly in any way. That's meant for you and you alone. So yeah, you're in, but, uh...
  19. Yeah I wasn't aware of this either! I mean shit I guess I gotta read it now, haha.
  20. All good fellas, don't need to feel pressured to sign up or anything, like I said just confirmation either way is better than radio silence Unfortunately behemos has been MIA for some time, not sure what he's up to these days.
  21. @Gloves @RH @DefaultGen @Makar @JVOSS @Link @ZeldaFan042 @Erlo I mean, there's all the people from the previous game who haven't signed up for this one (Other than Reed, since he said awhile back he's probably done with WW for the time being) Any takers? It's fine if not, just confirmation one way or the other is always nice (Oh yeah, and I guess @KokiriChild since he did host the last game)
  22. Yeah, I've noticed that. If we can get up to at least 15-16 sign-ups I can slightly downsize the setup and it should be fine, but if we can't at least get up to that point I'd probably rather just delay the game until another time. Maybe I could run one of my smaller setup ideas I've had in the back of my mind instead
