  1. Finally got around to jumping in on the Switch ride. Glad to have picked one up, took my wife trying out Overcooked 2 at her brother's house to get on board and actively want to buy one. Picked up Yoshi's craft world (we loved Woolley world, but so far I'm finding this one a little meh comparatively) and of course Smash ultimate which has been keeping me up later than I'd like. Super stoked to explore the library!
  2. World of illusion starring Mickey mouse and Donald duck. In the bag
  3. If you like scrabble, I would recommend a game called Quiddler. Card based word game. Lots of fun, and pretty cheap
  4. I'd like to add as well, a good store like this will have tables and demo copies of popular games and high sellers that you can open up and play around with, and if you are inclined sit down and try it out before commiting to a purchase.
  5. Maybe it's the picture playing with my eyes, but if that is shrink on that starwars rebellion, that sucker has got to peeled open!! Such a good game. Always wanted to try twilight imperium, my schedule however, doesn't usually permit me to start games until the evening, and that is one bad boy that requires a noon start! Lol
  6. My current boardgame collection:
  7. Glad to see you in here Nick! We'll have to get together again one of these days!!
  8. Does anyone else think abandoned amusement parks are so cool?!? https://www.travelchannel.com/interests/amusement-parks/photos/abandoned-amus
  9. I agree, but it's basically saying that what le everyone is in agreement, there's always that one person who has to over complicate something...... That is me.
  10. Hah! My next sentence in that conversation was to ask to play another game. I was trying to keep them on my side and not alienate them, but that's definately what I was thinking.
  11. Another notch for the trades workers, Heavy Equipment Technician for local county.
  12. I only started playing this year. I'm sitting at LVL 31 now. My work is a dead zone, so I'm not too far along in the go rocket quests. Looking forward to getting there though!
  13. Haha, I do it to myself too. I then catch myself saying it to my wife. Then I get smacked.
  14. I'm very familiar with CMON. They out out quality work, you should not be disappointed on that front at the least. Played Zombicide, the Arcadia Quest games, and have a few of their non figure games in my collection. You should be in for a good time with Bloodborne!
  15. I just got through reading the John Clever "I am not a serial killer" series by Dan Wells. I really enjoyed it all the way through. Also Stephen King's 'It' before watching the movie. Currently not reading anything, but I've been wanting to read Jim butchers codex Alara series as mentioned above.
  16. This is the reason I don't really do the Kickstarter thing. There are fantastic games and beautiful production that are put out on Kickstarter, I'm going to reference anything Stonemaier games, but the amount of disappointment for what they ended up backing. I've seen and heard from end results from buddies on others makes it not worth it to me. I just wait for the retail releases and if they don't make it that far, then I guess I am out of luck or the game wasn't good enough to see one. All that said, I havn't followed the Bloodborne game. Let me know how it is when it comes in!!
  17. When I started getting into the modern boardgame hobby, the amount of different monopoly games I received with different skins as gifts was quite extensive. It wasn't until I had amassed about 6 or 7 different ones that I had to have the "I know you mean well, but it's not these board games I enjoy playing" (referencing the mass market games) conversation with my extended family.
  18. Star wars rebellion is a lot of fun!
  19. Big into board games over here! We have a monthly public boardgame group that we do in our town, we bring buckets of games and try to encourage new people to the hobby. Personal faves are Viticulture, Scythe, Sagrada, Photosynthesis and Le Havre. Just got to try Tapestry and wingspan the past couple weeks, both so much fun, but I have to be selective on what gets into my boardgame collection, my wife will play games with me, but she doesn't like the big heavy ones like that I enjoy out on a night with buddies. We play Splendor, Azul, and many Deck builders together. Bringing the kids in is fun too. My younger is 2, so not quite there yet, but my older will play games with my wife and I, she's 6, we've played ticket to Ride, mission red planet, and she loves ice cool.
