I need to try this. I have a DS box with a pen mark right on the front.

I've had this book for a while but finally decided to clean it up. Cool thing about Bestine is it makes paper transparent (temporarily). Done deal. Also had this box for over a year, finally decided to address this aftermath of someone removing a security sticker. This one involved Bestine + having to get my nail under the metal to scrape it off. Fortunately I was able to remove it all.

Found this in a pile of old manuals that I hadn't sorted through yet. Neat little holiday guide from 2016: Separately, went into GameStop today just to browse and found this in stock, and it was the only one on the rack! I've been looking for this for 4 years, all the ones I've seen online were knockoffs but this is the real deal. Checked the back and it says copyright 2022, maybe they finally decided to reprint these? I recall these were discontinued back in 2018... If they are printing these again then that's great, these cases are really nice. One last post for 2022! I have not been diligent lately about taking pictures of my pickups so there are some Switch games and My Nintendo rewards not represented here, but here's my latest pickups anyway: Been taking advantage of sales to pick up Switch games, here's two that I picked up at nice prices, already beat Horgihugh, not a bad game. Got these ancient "consoles" for $20, that's two Merlins, one is CIB but the box is trashed. Convinced my mom to get me this for Hanukkah when it was on sale for $299. Love it. I wish I had the Outrun upright as well, but I'm having lots of fun with this one. Treated myself to this also at $299 with the stool and tin sign included. The stool is too tall, I'm not happy about that, and I have no use for the tin sign, might try to sell those locally unless my kids really want me to keep the stool. The game is great, my kids are OBSESSED with it, they've already made me play it through with them (all the way to the end!) 3 times. They haven't even tried bowling yet. Also, Thanks to some resourceful Internet netizens, I was able to install TMNT & Turtles in Time and configure the frontend to let me launch either set of games on startup. Not a bad setup! Got this Club Penguin book at Goodwill for $0.99, it looks like NOS, the stickers are still intact, and they had a whole stack of them, but I only bought 1. In the continued spirit of treating myself I bought these two cases for my case collection, these are ones I never managed to find in the wild, figured I may as well just buy them while they are still available from Walmart dot com 3rd party sellers. Lastly, managed to pick up the 4 My Nintendo rewards that dropped this month, here's the Earthbound ones. Happy New Year!

$40 local pickup: CIB Microvision and multiple games. Unfortunately the screen on the microvision has bad LCD rot which is typical for these. The contacts also need restoring. I can get it to turn on and hear some sound but nothing playable. I wish I could replace the screen but that’s not going to be easy or cheap. Still a cool find. Might sell it all and let someone else deal with it. The same seller offered me this for $20: So far I’ve confirmed that 1 Merlín and the Comp IV both work. The Merlín has one button that doesn’t respond but it doesn’t affect much. Pretty cool stuff. (Btw, that’s 2 Merlin’s, one is boxed and the other is loose.) Separate find from another day, this was $0.99 at Goodwill, new condition with the stickers intact:

Ninja JaJamaru is getting a new collection and it's getting a physical release for Switch: https://www.iningames.com/games/ninja-jajamaru Looks like they put more effort into including the GB game than most publishers would. Imagine if Final Fantasy Adventure got a "hand-coloured" update for Collection of Mana? Or if Link's Awakening on the modern Zelda Game and Watch was actually Link's Awakening DX? What an idea.

I have to hand it to Square Enix, they basically combined the limited print fomo with whatever the prices would have probably been on the secondary market. $249.99 for the LE? Hey, if people are willing to pay that much, so be it.

You can still buy Space Invaders Invincible Collection from Strictly Limited Games. It has all the arcade classics for a die hard fan. You might also be able to find it at USA or Canadian retailers. The only other physical option is the Atari 50th Collection which has the Atari 7800 release of Space Invaders. There are no physical releases that include Space Invaders Arcade in North America.

Having collected weird offshoots like errors, NFRs, prototypes, variants, etc. I'm very meh on the speculative potential of this stuff in general. Is there desire for an error Moonwalker cart? Sure. Is there as much desire for this as there is for a 9.8 A++ sealed graded Moonwalker? Not even close. People want the mint 1st print shelf candy. I think you are right on the money with $500 at best.

Nothing too shocking, another sticker cleanup with Bestine.

I have finally acquired my white whale. Another collector was aware that I was looking for one, and he actually managed to find a second one via eBay, and offered to do a trade with me. Amazing. There's one more title I want to acquire (CIB Kirby's Star Stacker) and then I think I'm good to go, I can retire.

I’m tempted to buy it because it’s CrunchyRoll! But we know nothing about the game. It is most likely mid.
