    My first console was an Atari 2600 (Vader). My mom bought it at a garage sale with a bunch of games super cheap in the mid 80's. I was actually kind of sad when she gave it away to the Salvation Army once I got my NES a few years later. I re-bought a Vader a couple of years ago and have most of my childhood games now.

    I started seriously collecting when I found a few of my old gaming items in my garage about 6 years ago. I had a top loading NES, Ghosts n Goblins, and Tengen Tetris just sitting around collecting dust. I decided to start playing again, and it all spiraled out of control from there.

    Ninja Gaiden II/III. I beat the first one once when I was 12 years old, but have never beat the others. Beautiful games, but brutal.

    Guess I'm collecting sealed Atari Lynx games now for some reason. The seller even threw in some cool extras.

    I bought a Jaguar at KB Toys for $30 when they were liquidating them. I played Cybermorph once and sold it on eBay about a week later at a profit. Yes, I realize my avatar is ironic.

    This is the first console I ever bought with my own money. I was a Genesis kid (and still am), but I had to have Link to the Past. Also, let's be honest: just about any game that was available on both had its superior version on the SNES.

    I was lucky enough to get one (SF). The 8-bitDO controllers are sold out though Anyone have any wireless controller recommendations? I'm tempted to try the Hyperkin, but their quality is kind of hit or miss so I'm hesitant.

    I have an RCA modded Vader and I love it. I recommend getting one if you can find one or know how to mod it yourself.

    I'm fortunate enough to still have my childhood CoCo3. I wish I still had the games I had back then. I had a ton of stuff on cassette.

    This is actually the only PS console I don't own. I remember being remotely interested when it first came out, but was too cheap to pay those launch prices. I opted for an Xbox 360 instead.
