  1. A quality Sega lot for $30 on FB marketplace. That is something people might wait a lifetime to see in person.
  2. Idk how The North works but in the US you can't eat significant losses several years in a row without being remotely profitable without being audited. The IRS would determine that it's a hobby and you then couldn't eat losses anymore. As for me, I bought a PHEV and had a kid so I got my max return. I'll need it to offset the loss of taking 8 weeks off of works to stay home w the family.
  3. I hate to give @Reed Rothchildso much praise but the descriptions are almost perfect for the scale too.
  4. From an engagement standpoint, most people don't play historically average games so those threads wouldn't create much dialogue. Even above average games, or below, will yield better discussion which I think is the point of the threads at their core: Foster discussion about games we have all played or heard of.
  5. I wonder if the Celeste sequel will make its way into a cartridge. https://www.ign.com/articles/celeste-64-fragments-of-the-mountain-release
  6. Idk if it was intentional, but the box is the same size as the Iam8bit LE boxes.
  7. Did I vote?? Lol I can't see it. I just put never played it, never will bc I honestly don't think I can give the game a play through. Nothing gets me more uninterested in a game where I have to get lost and back track before making progress. Add that to the hype behind this game, I don't think there's anyway it could ever live up to it's reputation. If I had a chance to play with when I only had 5 PS1 games and only got a game once every 4 months and the occasional rental, I think I would've had the determination to play through out of pure necessity. But being an adult and having 1000 other games, I would rather play the new Star Wars Survivor game, put 20 hrs into Star Field or finish Mario Wonder. I guess playing other Metroidvania games put me off to playing thee Metroidvania. Sad.
  8. I never played enough of SOTN to have an opinion. I started the game like 5 times and just never picked it back up. Exploring games just end up pissing me off.
  9. He still has a website up and current. https://thisroomisanillusion.com/product-category/stuff/?v=893f26889d1e
  10. @MiamiSlice where did you find the Neo Geo pocket selection for a decent price?
  11. That's a difference then on my end. Collecting video games isn't part of my personality. It's just something I enjoy in my spare time. I would be who I am w.o collecting video games. I read about politics and EVs / cars all the time but I don't make those a part my personality either.
  12. I feel the same way but have the same view towards displaying my collection as he does. For context, I have built in shelves at the back of my basement that holds my collection and most people that come over never even ask or acknowledge it besides, "Damn that's a lot of games. Remember playing xyz?". I don't really care what people who don't share my hobby think so I don't need to have it front and center in my house to invite people who don't know or care about my hobby to provoke a conversation. In my experience, most conversation with non collectors go in a couple directions. 1) it's space 2) it's money or 3) it's useless. After you have this conversation a ton of times, it becomes tiring. So since I don't care what people think, I don't provoke their responses by putting my games front and center - and my wife wouldn't have it lol. In the living room I have a Xbox Series X with the OEM Star Field wrap with the Star Field controller under the TV and my HDMI N64 above that. Those alone have been enough to spark any other closeted gamer or collector to start asking questions.
  13. Damn, that hits me right in the nostalgia. What are the dimensions?
  14. I did a double take at first, then realized this has to be PS4. Otherwise you have the GOAT PS5 collection right now lol
  15. I'm sitting at 860 games according to my Price Charting profile for 22 consoles. It should be closer or over 900 since I can't add the homebrews in there and I have about ~50 of those. Currently sitting at 150 3DS games, 100 for Switch 90 for NES. I'm very comfortable with my current collection. Unless I stumbled onto a ton of CIB NES, Saturn, DS or 3DS games I'm looking for, I don't think my collection will grow significantly over the next couple years. I'm also officially done buying Switch games since I'm tired of paying full price for mediocre games with graphics and processing from 2 generations ago. I recently cancelled two games that were at historic low prices bc I can't bring myself to keep dipping into that system when I know all every 3rd party game and half of the first party games will slide into the Switch2 library for full price.
  16. This was the worst year for yard sale / flea market finds I've had in a decade. However, I managed to get this gold toys r Us exclusive N64 in perfect condition for $50. By far my best gaming pick up throughout the year.
  17. As a 90s kid, I've never been so offended. The only thing you're missing is trashing X-Men. Batman was THE super hero for me growing up. All Batman games being s tier only further deepen the legendary status.
  18. Game bits are $6 shipped. No reason not to get one if you're concerned about authenticity. https://a.co/d/1uTVT5M
