  1. I miss the good old days back in 2010 when $18,000 was considered an absurd amount of money to pay for a video game.
  2. I found a RC Pro Am II for $25 and a 3 screw black box Volleyball for $1, but nothing super rare.
  3. You and me both. Those vertical lines seriously get on my nerves and you can still see them just enough to be annoying even with an AV mod.
  4. Probably Doom or Mortal Kombat unless something like Friday the 13th on NES counts.
  5. I honestly don't know how the RF lines from that toploader aren't burned into your retinas by now.
  6. I'm just hoping that the Bengals don't get him killed before he gets a chance to be good!
  7. They're one of those bands that I couldn't ever get into. They're okay if they happen to come on the radio, but I really wouldn't go out of my way to listen to their music. 5/10.
  8. Good to hear! I was starting to think everyone was on vacation this week.
  9. I would agree that winning the regular season championship is a better representation of who the best overall player has been that season. The tournaments are a fun bonus though.
  10. I still have two of the VHS tapes. I have no idea what happened to the plane though.
  11. 6 wins is what I'd give the Bengals and that's setting the bar fairly low with a 17 game season now.
  12. I don't mind the Famicom weekly contests, I just think the tournament should be strictly NES games since not everyone uses flash carts/emulators or wants to buy a Famicom cart just for one contest.
  13. It's almost like more taxing and spending is the only thing they can seem to agree on.
  14. I was thinking you meant Circus Charlie since I thought that was for bonus points or something too.
  15. I miss the contest archives thread. It made it a lot easier to look this stuff up.
  16. I think it was some Famicom game. I don't mind Famicom games during the season since it's fun to try new games, but I'm not thrilled with the idea of them being in the tournament.
  17. I think the tier system did a good job of letting players of similar skill compete against each other, but I'm still good with the March Madness format where everyone gets a shot at the championship.
  18. I'd like to see some kind of average based scoring system for the tournament itself. That way the champion would be the player with the best overall performance instead of whoever just happened to be the best at the game chosen for the final round. I forget what year it was, but it seems like there was a tournament where the same player won the first and second rounds but then finished fourth in the finals and ended up with nothing because of bad luck on the draw for the final game.
