  1. I have the later revision and it still has a pretty firm grip. Not death but you got to give a good pull. Especially if the pins on the game are still thick.
  2. That doesn't sound right, it should contain a Manual, Map, Top Secrets Insert, Exclusive NP Insert, Pamphlet, and Precautions Booklet. Sounds like you have something extra.
  3. Reading the topic name I thought the battery had exploded or something.
  4. But what if we just want the default sound? Also is there anyway to adjust the volume? The coin sound is quite loud.
  5. If keeping a game sealed makes you happy, then do it. I personally like to open them and share the experience. That makes me happy. Is it destroying the dollar value? Maybe, but the value I get from opening it and having a mint CIB game on my shelf is sometimes worth more IMO.
  6. Have you thought about making maps for the Donkey Kong Country games?
  7. The first print Turtles in Time manual has the fruit snacks offer IIRC.
  8. It says on the side tabs as well. It's not very common compared to the Japan version but not rare by any means.
  9. @DoctorEncoreThat's what I thought as well. It seemed like NES was slowing down at that point. The prices were still slowly going up but the only games that would fetch good money were uncommon or mint games. Then in 2018-2019, it went BOOM. Everyone started Wata grading their games and selling them for 4x-5x what they were worth......and people were paying those prices. Sadly it doesn't seem like it's going to slow down anytime soon. How long before we start seeing sealed SNES games go for 6 figures? I can see a sealed black label Super Mario World hitting that someday. Glad I started collecting 20 years ago when CIB games were only $5-$10.
  10. How much can I get for this? 2 million sounds fair.
  11. Maybe I should open my sealed copy now?
  12. @tbone3969The blue Warning insert in your pics. The yellow insert was only around for a short time and came with most games printed in 90 and early 91.
  13. Oh, probably not anytime soon. I'll probably save it for a special occasion like 1,000 subs or something like that. Nintendocade's copy appears to be the 3rd version. No Mexico box with the older NP insert Rear Projection warning. Later copies came with the Mario Warning insert.
  14. When I open my sealed one I'll let you know. Overall though that seems era correct. There is no list for Mario 3 yet but it's why other people on site this including myself open sealed games. To archive the inserts for future collector's.
  15. If someone makes a protector for that in Europe, take it. Finding box protectors for oddball things like that are hard to find.
  16. They take up more space and having cellophane on disk based games just feels...more authentic I guess?
  17. Those are actual bags and is not what I'm looking for. I did find some for DVD style cases but I question the quality of them. https://www.amazon.com/UNIQUEPACKING-Clear-Standard-Cellophane-Shrink/dp/B00S31SZCS
  18. So I've decided to start a topic covering the various box protectors and cellophane bags out there to choose from but first I need some help. For now I'll start with cellophane bags for DS and PSP as I have trouble finding them. Does anyone know where to get them? Also does anyone know where I can find resealable cellophane bags with the adhesive on the body instead of the flap?
  19. I don't have enough data yet but it seems like it went small hole, then big hole, and then some games went back to small hole. The later bags feel a little different. They look more clear and feel thinner.
  20. Going by the chip dates, I'd say it was released in late December 93 or early January 94.
  21. I miss those days. That was back when I could buy CIB games for like $5 and sealed games for like $15.
  22. I'd say -2 is probably correct. I've only seen -3 with games released a few months into 1994.
