What? No Battlesphere or Battlesphere Gold? Not complete!
Just kidding, I do not have either of those either, but I still consider my set complete. I do have quite a bit of homebrews for the system though.
Nah, Im only concerned with retail, which is kinda fluid with Jaguar anyway, but Battlesphere definitely falls outside that

Nice move. it's a system I've relegated my time to demo kiosks, but it seemed fine despite how the market felt otherwise. I feel the same with discs. I've been effectively offloading one optical system after the next.
I've strongly considered pushing the Gamecube out too, but I just can't make myself rip that band-aid off as of yet. I hadn't even considered it until I had to replace my launch one last year when the drive and things failed within from old age. It sure wasn't overuse, it never got the mass hours the previous generations got in use which was discouraging.
You're smart to keep away, at least with real hardware, ISO+? is fine though I imagine. There's just too many issues both with the hardware and then the odd way these discs are seeing an uptick in failures on various systems too that should make at least some people a bit nervous.
Im not even concerned about the hardware failure or disc rot. My big issue has always been a disc can look mostly fine but that one little micro-scratch can make the game freeze and crash during the last sequence of the game. Never letting you finish it, and unless you played the game to that point you would never know.
Or you have some disc that were used as hockey pucks that, by some miracle, work perfectly fine. But I would never buy them because of how they look.
Too much of a guessing game. At least with carts, if it fires up you know it’s good all the way through.

Back row, in the middle. For some reason at my theatre the back rows have wayyyy more legroom
Our local theater turned into one of those “restaurant”/bar movie theaters. So now every seat is this massive powered recliner with a swing out table for your food. Every seat has like 24-36ish in in front of them so people can still get by if your in the recline position

Amazing! Do you have any particular favorites on in this library?
I used to see ads for it comic books, but mostly promoting the console, not a specific game. And that's all I know about it.
I really like Atari Karts, despite its flaws. Theme Park is enjoyable too

Finally finished off my Atari Jaguar collection earlier this year. Ive had the vast majority of games since 2013 or so and was only missing Towers II and Iron Solider II. I was never in a rush to get them because they were always available brand new (and still are) from Telegames.
So I decided to pull the trigger at the end of last year/beginning of this one and polishes it off.
Im probably one of the few who still actively collects for fullsets of games and its been a long time since Ive completed a set so it’s a nice to pull off

Just something I saw today I think anyone buying DS pokemon games should be aware of. I know a quick legitimacy check was to hold a like to the cart as the real ones are translucent. It seems the fakes have now copied the plastic used. Just like N64 shells fixing the “i” on the back plastic. Fakes are getting better

I can see the charm and I think if I played them when I was younger I’d just look past all the faults.
The camera was a big issue, I’d go around barracks and be shot at before I could even see the enemy.
Just like real war! It’s hyper realistic!

Im actually more surprised its ending. Ive always known they were still doing it. Pretty much every mention of “remember when Netflix sent dvds!” on any nostalgia or “dam im old” posts across the internet is followed by “they still do dvds!” So I thought it was more widely known

Then you have the other say 20% where tight fisted cheapskates on one side, and control freaks on the other put only part of a game or some games but not all games on a card into the card. For instance you have Rockstar with LA Noire and Wolfenstein 2, they gave you part of the game on a card, then made the rest a download just so it would work just to be control freaks and cheap about it. Or you'd have Capcom with those quite small Megaman legacy and resident evil collections where 1+2 were put together and they'd give you 1, and 2 was a download, yet all would have fit in a cheap small sized chip so they were trying to release at cheap of a cost as possible. Activision did this too with the Spyro Trilogy 1 is on the card 2+3 are downloads.
I have to push back a little on this. Specifically how Im interpreting “20%” having only partial game on the card. Though I agree on the cheapskate comments.
Out of the 1500ish games released here so far, theres only like 2 dozen that are partial game on card/requires a download. They’re all marked on the box so they’re easy to spot

Looks like it Radirgy Swag has been removed from the eshop

Every time I check the LRG site it's an entire slate of new releases. I'm Guess ng at this point the numbered line alone is bigger than the entire Wii U library...
I haven’t updated my sheet in 2weeks or so. But last I had marked down they were on #185. Don’t remember how many games were on the WiiU

If those 10% physical purchases no longer had the option to buy physical, how many would turn around and get digital instead? I'm guessing most or all of them.
Almost certainly most, but definitely not all. But that hold out portion is so small and will most likely just be old timers screaming at clouds. I say that being one of those future old timers

I watched a documentary on Limited Run Games and they constantly had people cancel orders on day 2 because it didn't sell out immediately. If it doesn't sell out, then the investors don't want to waste their money on trying to resell it.
That makes sense for the collectors edition/ fixed print games. But they’ve had open preorders on for a 5+ years now. So there is no “selling out” on the second day since they can’t actually sell out

Did we forget about Dispatch games already lol?
Absolutely. A lot of these games only sold out because people were speculating on them. Now that these are no longer "investments," or I should say, easy flips, people aren't rushing to buy them anymore.
I definitely didn’t forget about Dispatch. But that turned into essentially a scam/disappearing into the night vs. this, which is less scam-esque and more “oh crap, stuff is starting to falter.”
Idk I just see them as different

Two games have been canceled by Special Reserve Games. Kardboard Kings and Relic Hunter. All orders to be refunded. This is the first Ive heard of a limited print game being canceled post orders opening. Could this be a symptom of wanting interest in limited print games that spreads to other companies?

Just for a data point. Plugged in my Wii U for the first time in 4-5yrs and it worked fine. But dam! I forgot how slow it was to open new apps/games on it

Well... it (taking the covers off) doesn't defeat the purpose if the purpose is to enjoy the systems.
I mean... I can be playing NES and glance over at my SNES/N64/Turbo and go "wow.... look at me.... look how cool I am for having all this cool stuff here."I guess lol just not something Im prone to do

Just when I go to play them. I don’t really need to stare at the consoles themselves. Kinda defeats the purpose of a dust cover if they get taken off to just loom at the consoles constantly. I don’t even really notice there on there most of the time

As far I looked, which admittedly was not much. All of those pre-tabbed batteries are cheap no name batteries. I highly doubt they would last anywhere near as long as some decent branded ones.
But, regardless, I wasn’t/am not interested in the pre-tabbed batteries

Just bumping this up with the least “hackey” solution I found. Explanation and pics edited into first post
