  1. What do you mean king of dragons? From limited run??
  2. Yea saw that, but I don’t think selling the headquarters is a dealbreaker. That could mean a number of things. With these small limited release companies, the biggest hurdle is coming up with the capital to be able to place a manufacturing order with Nintendo. They may be trying to recoup some cash so they afford to place an order. Could be cutting costs by moving to a smaller location due to people working remote. Or they could be slowly winding the business down for closure as the Reddit post suggested. When businesses are having difficulties, they always keep quiet as they are trying to come up with solutions. They want people to remain confident in them, it’s all part of brand imaging. They will only announce the bad news when it is clear that they are in corner and there is absolutely no way out. I think we’ll eventually here back from them, hopefully with some positive news.
  3. I’m not taking either side here as it’s not my subject of expertise. But I do find it interesting that some system hardware can play games designed for other systems while still retaining their own system identity. For example, PS3 could play PS2 and PS1 discs. But they were three distinct systems. Also, DS can play GBA but the game libraries are distinct. Then there are systems that have compatibility with others with hardware modifications. But at what point do you draw the line? Sega Genesis can play CD games by adding Sega CD hardware. But then it can also play CD games through the cart slot if you have a Mega SD. SNES can play gameboy if you have a Super Gameboy adapter. You might argue Gameboy is obviously a different system because your playing it off of the Gameboy processor built into the Super Gameboy. Ok Master System can be played on Genesis using the Power Base converter and it plays 100% in the processor built in the Genesis. But they’re different systems Some argue Famicom and NES are the same hardware. But they have different pinouts and require an adapter to achieve compatibility. Same goes for Saturn, you need to use a Pseudo Saturn Kai adaptor to get the library to work. Dreamcast can play some PS1 games with a Bleemcast disc. XBox plays DVD movies if you add a hardware adapter (actually the software to play DVDs is already encoded in the firmware, the adaptor just toggles it on). Are DVD movies part of the XBox library? Then there’s the argument of essentially the same exact games being developed but ported simultaneously to XBox One, PS4 and PC. Same game, different hardware. I don’t actually know where I sit on this, just wanted to ask some questions to get people thinking? Where do you draw the line?
  4. I still have my Ready to dispatch preorder in. I’m curious to see what will happen. Since they are the publisher, are they only the company in charge of the physical edition of their games? What about the digital versions?? Are those a direct deal between the Nintendo eshop and the developer??? If they have disappeared and ditched their customers behind that is a bad business practice. If I were Nintendo I’d not want to partner with a company like that. That other company that was taking preorders without even collecting the full balance of the game for preorder went under. You could just put down a few dollars and they’d hold a preorder for you. When they went down, they eventually refunded everyone’s money. Ready to dispatch was a more developed company as they actually did a few releases. I can’t imagine they will just disappear without sending refunds. My guess is they will transfer the rights of Radirgy to another limited run company and also transfer people’s preorders.. either that or just refund people’s money after they start to dissolve the company
  5. 3DS is cool. I’m surprised how it has priced up recently, it’s not even an older system
  6. It’s because strictly limited is a small company. They got rights to cotton and Monster World 4 in Europe. There was no guarantee that these games would come out in other regions. Well as a small company they move real slow. In the meantime, other publishers in different regions did get rights to publish these games and being more efficient, they have already been able to release these games into the market
  7. How is Master Quest anyways? Are the dungeon layouts different like in the NES version? Or did they just adjust the difficulty. For some reason I’ve never tried Master Quests because my brain keeps telling me that it’s just the same game but a little harder. Even though I know that it’s different
  8. Ah man this is terrible news. I had no idea about any of the stuff that was going on. Only had an appreciation of the work that byuu was doing
  9. I’m intrigued by how much you like Hollow Knight. Didn’t seem very good to me, but I think I need try it more to make sure i didn’t miss something
  10. All right! So how much do ya want for it? Only need a few more infinity stones and I’ll be able to dominate
  11. Oops. I added a spoiler alert and hid my comment. @Californication @Estil Y’all quoted me
  12. In other news, the report seems to have been released: https://www.dni.gov/files/ODNI/documents/assessments/Prelimary-Assessment-UAP-20210625.pdf @RH
  13. Edit: Spoiler alert Props to your friend, but I think it’s realistic to say that the majority of people did not find it on their own.
  14. Playing it through in one sitting can make the inverted castle boring. But, at the time when the game came out, it was getting a free expansion pack like 6months to 1 year later. Keep in mind Castlevania SOTN came out in the early days of the internet. People mostly got their gaming info from strategy guides and gaming magazines. So back then, you’d play through the game and beat it by killing Richter. That’s it, you get 100% and then its game over. Nobody found the inverted castle on their own. Then like 6 months to a year later, you’d read that there was actually this super secret inverted castle. You didn’t know if it was a hoax like Ninja Mario or whatever other fake things people believed in, so you’d pop the game back in after having shelved it for months. Then it turns out to work. So now you get to re-explore a second part of the game that you thought that you had already finished. This effect can’t truly be replicated in the world we live in today with the speed of information traveling via internet communication. The closest we’ll come to it is dropping dlc packs to expand the game
  15. Since there is no single person who is known for coining the phrase, you can’t ask anyone to clarify on what Metroidvania means. This word was adopted by the masses and different people seem to have different opinions on what it means.
  16. Good thing you picked up a copy. I am predicting Super Metroid might after Metroid Dread comes out
  17. If anyone actually did, they may have been high
  18. The cart and manual are orange on this one, only the box is blue. All of the ones I’ve ever seen had the same orange cart. However I do remember seeing a picture of manual one time that had the blue design on it. I wonder if it was legit, can’t see why anyone would fake it. I bet they will be worth significantly more in the future when they are sealed. Not so special when they are opened
  19. I beat OOT too much. Only beat Majoras Mask once and didn’t 100% it. So Majoras Mask
  20. I know this. But I always blurt out Gameboy DS whenever I’m talking. Been that way ever since It first came out. Can’t not do it. My daughters even call it a Gameboy now because of me. I was curious to know if this same issue affects anyone else
  21. I just noticed that a lot of people like to wrongly call the Gameboy DS a Nintendo DS. Jk What do you call it?
  22. Is there a way to see that those transactions were actually canceled? I could see this being real. Could be a less savvy person clearing out a collectors belongings.
