  1. I'm curious if you've ever tried the other way around? A lot of musicians will write a basic story for an album and then the music will generally loosely, though sometimes heavily lean on the themes of the story. A good example is my head right now is the Desaturating Seven album from Primus.
  2. Confidence is key! xD I liked Confederacy of Dunces a lot; I've been playing FF7 on PS1 lately and it kind of reminded me of that style of music especially the Turks and Shinra, like I was able to kind of get a sense of characters which might be represented by the music. I like the theme of the soldier and Apache warrior, ignoring of course that the poor Apache would stand zero chance and would be immediately obliterated lol. It's an interesting theme to mix the sci-fi and western vibes. Meeting with a Shaman was one of the standout character themes, and honestly was the main thing while listening which reminded me that there was a western atmosphere. If I were to provide some constructive criticism, it's that I wish there was more of the western vibe; Meeting with a Shaman felt very Chrono Trigger to me and was the closest song to hitting that mix (similarly to how Chrono Trigger manages this). I'd like to hear more leaning into that. Overall well done, an enjoyable listen.
  3. I know we don't normally "reserve" games, but maybe this time around we could chat about our plans going into the new year? I know a number of us have "backlogs", myself included, and these threads can help us to tackle that for sure. When you go to play a game though and it's already been done already it can be a little demotivating. How do we feel about some soft planning going into 2022? Might help us to spread it out a bit and keep people motivated, so it's not a mad dash to play the fun games right out of the gate.
  4. To be fair a large bulk of the remainder is sports games, which can be rough on any system.
  5. VGS does have a time, it's EST. You can see it on desktop:
  6. Roughly 2 N64 games completed every day in a month where people tend to spend a week with family? I dunno, man.
  7. Hey I won't turn down a generous offer to support the community: https://www.videogamesage.com/subscriptions/
  8. Yeah I was just playing for funsies, don't include me in the gift card stuff please.
  9. I've been slowly redistributing in increments of $200, buying more as stuff goes down further to lower my average buy price. It's all very spread out right now.
  10. Tiebreaker is easy - whoever posted first. So I win!
  11. There's a trick to it if you wanna be a cheap bastard about it.
  12. I meant to say 10 not 12; I just had it happen again at (I believe) the same spot as the first time - right after wave 11 ended.
  13. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not tbh. I just beat wave 11 and it did it again. At any rate, here's my score, which may potentially be the highest score possible if it does indeed end after wave 11: 66,000
  14. I seem to have either beaten or broken the game. As I finished a level, I think it was level 10, it forced me into the Upgrades menu. I have max Bullets and Energy already, and Speed is now infinitely upgradeable (pointless), so it's just eating away my points. I'll start over to see if it's a glitch or I've beaten it. It won't let me keep playing and I dumped all of my points into Speed to see if it'd let me do so, perhaps foolishly so as I never took a screenshot of my score.
  15. Love it! Not one I pull out to watch regularly, but easily an 8 for me.
  16. YO! Making an order for like 20 acrylic cases. Thanks man, quality stuff!
  17. That's not available on the platform I use, and I'm hesitant to move away from my safe little bubble. Also I stopped trusting you after you suggested ADA.
  18. Also, aside - I've gained 25 BAT so far (~$45 worth) by switching to the Brave browser. It has many benefits which I enjoy over using Chrome aside from that, but I found that kinda cool. I'm just browsing like normal (with the built-in ad-block).
  19. Where'd you get that photo of me?
  20. I'm gonna try this "diversification" thing. I'm buying up varying amount of cryptos which are sitting in a dip right now, with more money going to those in a greater percentage dip. It's all a learning experience for me and so far I'm happy with the returns, but my approach so far has been a stressful one (all my eggs in one basket, basically).
  21. Black Friday just doesn't seem to hit the same anymore.
  22. I ended up cashing out literally at the top of the spike, so pretty happy about that. Remember guys, profits are driven solely by gut instinct!
