TylerBarnes 183 Member ·
So I just heard that Assembler Games forums is also about to close down. It's sad to see two huge forums shut down in such a short time period. I wonder if we'll see any of those guys migrating over to our neck of the woods. Deadeye 1,560 Homebrew Team ·
Doesn't the forum owner keep doing this every so often? I remember talking about this a few months ago. The post about the forum closing in 30 days goes back to May. Is it for real this time?

TylerBarnes 183 Member ·
It might be the same thing, Deadeye. I only just went back there to check out a thread that had some wiring information on MMC5 carts and noticed the banner and closing thread. Skorp 345 Member ·
Yeah, I could have sworn I thought they already shut down a while ago?? I remember last year in July when I saw some info about it. So, all this time and it is for sure now or maybe I'm confusing something else. spacepup 2,057 Administrator ·
This was announced a while back and has been a long time coming. The full site has been archived, and I know that a decent chunk of the community already migrated over to Obscure Gamers: https://www.obscuregamers.com/forums/ The issues with ownership and relationship to the community / longevity of that site, is a long and muddled mess - but at least the full place is archived and a new place was created many months ago for people to continue on. Pikkon 19 Member ·
Been a member there since 05 but as for now the site is in weird place. Was supposed to close but it haven't yet for what ever reason, its odd as there's no moderators,no admin and I'm sure no one can join if they wanted to. Yeah, but this gives us the opportunity to rebuild and get excited about gaming all over again.
PineappleLawnchair 88 Member ·
That forum has been in the middle of "shutting down" since. like, may. So either it's been paid for the next year, or he's just seeking attention.
