If anyone wants a more permanent solution for desktop follow these instructions.

  • Download this extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/user-css/okpjlejfhacmgjkmknjhadmkdbcldfcb?hl=en
    • It's for chrome, but I'm sure there are similar ones for other browsers
    • It is used to inject custom CSS to override the rotation effect
  • Refresh VGS
  • Click on the extension
  • This will pull up a panel, right click in it (the rotation effect breaks left click for some reason)
  • Left click to get rid of the right click menu
  • Copy and paste this:
    body { transform: none !important; }

Notifications are on top (bottom) of the page. Yep, joke not 100% optimized

I see the icon at the bottom/top of the page.  However, if you click on it, the pop-up doesn't appear. MY fix is that every time I load a page, I mod the CSS to cut off the 180 degree rotation

Mac users should use this (found instructions somewhere):

Hold the Option and Command , click on Preferences and then on Display while holding the Option + Command . Only than you'll be given the option to change the rotation of the screen.

This sort of joke is more like an inconvenience rather than being funny

Weird. My phone doesn't auto rotate to upside down. Anyway you should be able to hold it flat so it doesn't auto rotate.

I thought mine had, but then I would have to type upside down.  I vaguely remember it happening once.......maybe i was drunk and I was upside down......

You can also turn auto rotate off.

not for this, no way, Auto rotate is too nice a feature imo for @gloves to make me ruin my user experience on my phone.  no satisfaction for him @gloves.......apparently the ping system doesn't work for me as well......
