  1. ^ that should be const, you're not going to write to it in ROM.
  2. Yes, many people report success with everdrive/sd2snes.
  3. Yep, that seems to be a 3V flash, meaning if there's no voltage translation (most/all of the chinese carts lack that), the carts will eventually commit sudoku. That's the downside in the current GB homebrew ecosystem, nobody is making quality repro boards for big stuff, only chinese sources available, with their typical issues. BennVenn keeps talking about making such, but his stuff is always sold out, and the timing for when stuff will appear is very varying. INL has also talked about designing such, but no timelines. edit: The NES, SNES and Genesis state is much better, if GB is not the goal by itself.
  4. Played through, I loved the writing. Got the hidden Barb ending, and on the second run the okay one. Some notes: - in the court screen, instead of flashing to left-center-right images, scrolling would be nicer - loved the snes refs - when looking for evidence, it's not discoverable that you can go left and right. There should be some indicator on screen - the evidence music is a bit too looping - objection could use a sfx (or if it was intended for that, timed to it) - the kumquat point would make more sense if the evidence mentioned the flavor, I don't think Phoenix Wright had guessing like that MBC5 with those specs will make it hard to manufacture, but I guess you can't do much about it, having to work with what GB Studio gives you. It seems to only use half the ROM and a tiny amount of the save ram, not sure about cart ram.
  5. Mmm, check out the limited edition cart shown in the video. Meaty.
  6. I think it's important to note what engine a game uses, if any. The Unity and Gamemaker reputations are 100% deserved, and it goes the other way too: if something uses the Q3 engine, I want to know that too. So that's where I draw the line: if you use nesmaker as an ide, who cares. If most of the code is nesmaker's, that is a big deal. I wouldn't classify Mugi's project as a nesmaker project, since it mostly doesn't use the nesmaker engine anymore. Knowing the history is good, and I don't want them to start hiding it started in nesmaker, but they're open about that already.
  7. Check out Inherent Smile and F-ff from the 2017 compo.
  8. Well, the NES and SNES controllers can be attached to the sides for handheld play. If your next quip is that the A and B buttons are oriented wrong, there are adapters to hold the switch controllers horizontal
  9. SoleGoose, did you know Nintendo sells NES and SNES controllers for the Switch? They have received quite good feedback, and can even be used on original consoles with the 8bitdo bluetooth receiver IIRC.
  10. This is the only Invision site I've used. With the following usercss I have nice blue boxes to click: i.fa-circle, i.fa-star { min-width: 10px; min-height: 8px; background-color: lightblue; } Not sure how the circles and stars are drawn, but not going to spend time looking now. Thanks for pointing out the feature was there.
  11. I think I'll try some usercss. The fa-star and fa-circle classes are in the source at least, even if there's nothing in the element itself.
  12. Hm, there are no such icons here. It's just empty space in that area, and mousing around doesn't reveal anything clickable.
  13. Just like the predecessor, this forum is missing a "go to unread" feature for each thread. This forum clearly keeps track of unread content though, the topics are bold and inside there's a blue line. Apparently there's several plugins for this. Please consider installing one. I mean a button next to each topic, not a separate "unread content" page.
  14. Coffee Crisis' Steam and Switch ports are enhanced versions, not 1:1 from Genesis.
