  1. NESmaker should be able to do a RPG. Or, you could do a proto in one of the RPG makers, and once it's complete, team up for a NES port.
  2. RPGs are big, requiring lots of resources to create. You can try the various ones made in China demaking modern RPGs for the NES (FF7, Golden sun, etc etc). Otherwise you'll need to wait for Former Dawn, only smaller ones have been done like my Inherent Smile.
  3. His point about being too close to the next console is valid. That's exactly why I won't bother with MMC5 - it makes zero sense, at that point it's both cheaper and more convenient to dev for SNES. Or the next leap, if you wanted to do 3d, it makes no sense to do it on superfx, you'd go N64 or GC. You're viewing it from a NES fan's POV, when devs view it from a cost-effort POV. Making a SNES-class game is obviously easier on SNES than on NES.
  4. Re bluetooth audio: it should be obvious by now Nintendo likes to cut costs. Widely compatible bt audio would mean licensing a codec -> cents to dollars more per each unit sold!
  5. Plot twist: most MegaCat NES releases are MMC3. The MMC3 discussion above is surprising in this context.
  6. I think I had to look up the solutions to all the insult swordfights, and some of the other puzzles too. (not sure which game the swordfights were in, it's been like 15 years since I played these)
  7. 5, so very boring. I played it to see how they did things on the N64, but couldn't last more than a couple hours in.
  8. I still haven't gotten to mine. It's the next console in my backlog though, I've recently finished PS4 (so far, some new games for it getting added to the list).
  9. Microsoft announced streaming play for the old console. Ie you get to play latest-gen games on the prev-gen thing if you pay a few dollaridoos a month. Highly likely Sony will follow.
  10. "Seller: fcgamer" lol, after such a glowing review didn't think you'd part with it. 2k taiwan dollars seems to be ~72 usd, fairly high.
  11. As an Advance Wars fan, I was massively disappointed by the announcement. Just a remake, with horrible graphics too, and naturally full price. After all this time we deserve a proper new game, that looks good.
  12. Wait, you mean it actually exists? Purchasable by mere mortals?
  13. Pros: excellent story, "and Yuna... Yuna dances". Cons: very linear, final boss absurdly difficult.
  14. Opposite example: Famicom Wars is better than GB Wars 1-3.
  15. Thanks, I didn't know there even is such a section. I thought it was under the FS forums or whatever.
  16. Where exactly here was this sold? I tried googling with site:videogamesage.com but didn't find it.
  17. Everdrive. Seriously, do not pay some hustler who's making a buck off other people's work.
  18. 45 eur + shipping for a demo? That's been available as a free ROM for what, a decade? That's... Well not family friendly description.
  19. @a3quit4s: lol, only good ones. Platformers utterly bore me. There's just nothing interesting in them, all you get is more points. Moving a platformer to 3d helps nothing, why would you adventure around when all you can find is points or new abilities with which to get points? At least in RPGs adventuring around gives you interesting things.

    Witch n' Wiz

MegaCat's stuff is all new boards, and many of them use battery saves.

I have it on good authority that mushrooms are the real deal.
  22. Is the pro controller's layout really that much better that getting another wired controller in the color you want won't work?
