  1. I hope that they release the HD version on the switch. I never bought a wii u, so I never got to play it. I last played ww on a gamecube with component cables about 10 years ago.
  2. Nice job, yeah I think I was on stage 9 too. And I agree, i wouldn't have been able to make it any further without continues either. I should've just continued to beat it for that other thread but I wasn't thinking.
  3. Almost got through stage 10. Fun game.... its like Bump n Jump, Rad Racer and RC Pro AM had a three way baby.
  4. A beavis and butthead tiger electronic handheld. You can't make this shit up.
  5. We tried to do that. We didn't even make it to the red wedding. No matter how good a show is, I just can't make it through an entire series twice.
  6. I work with a lady who's hair style is still 100% exactly like that. I call her hot tub time machine.
  7. I ended up getting the DMG with the backlight and bivert mod. Now I just have to get some games . I might even bite the bullet and get an everdrive too while I'm at it.
  8. Just saw the finale, I thought it was great. Overall this show has been a real pleasant surprise so far. .
  9. Episode 7, I give 2 thumbs up. . Death troopers and Gustavo Frein? I was like squeeee! Lol
  10. Saw it today, interested to hear what other people's opinions are. My initial reaction is definitely disappointment. I'm trying to not be the negative, toxic, star wars fan but it's hard. I initially didn't like the force awakens either but that changed after I watched it about a dozen times so I'm hoping maybe this movie will grow on me as well. On the plus side my kids liked it. Overall I'd give it a 6/10.
  11. Yeah, I think a good Zelda game should stump you at least once while playing it. That was maybe my only gripe with BOTW, the lack of being stumped.
  12. Hmmm, that adds another little wrinkle to the equation here. I think I'm gonna have to keep it colorless. I'm 99% sure I'm going to be playing on a backlit DMG with the bivert mod.
  13. Anyone got an opinion on the links awakening switch vs gameboy versions? I bought the switch version as a Christmas present for my kids , but maybe I'll play the gameboy version instead.
  14. So if you were gonna pick between Super Mario Land 1 or 2 it would the 2nd one? I think I'm gonna try to keep it to one game per series.
  15. I'm planning on getting an original gameboy. What are the games you would consider must haves? I didn't have many games growing up. From what I can recall I had Tetris, Ducktales, Kirbys Dreamland, HAL Wrestling and Heiankyo Alien. They were all great, I can honestly say I don't remember playing a bad gameboy game. Heiankyo Alien I got off the clearance rack at Thrift Drug, not knowing what the hell it was but I ending up playing it all the time. So what other games would you guys recommend? I'm probably not gonna have much time to play so I'm trying to narrow it down to the cream of the crop here.
  16. If I had a ton of disposable income I could see myself collecting a wide variety of things. Probably comics, cards, and 80s action figures. But the only things I really collect besides anything NES related are PSA10 Don Mattingly cards from the his playing days. I'd like to have all his PSA10 topps tiffany cards. I also collect a little bit of Bo Jackson and Daryl Strawberry cards as well.
  17. From the little bit of research I've done it almost seems that if you were to get the DMG model backlit you would also have to get the bivert mod as well or the image quality would be degraded no?
  18. So I'm leaning towards the DMG with the backlight and bivert mod. It looks like they have some backlight options that change the screen color, but I like the original green with the backlight the best. As far as the rechargeable USB mod goes, I'm not sure. I'll have to look more into that. I don't want to pull the trigger too quick here and be disappointed, and have to buy a bunch of different gameboys until I get it right.
  19. I'm still doing my research here...but if I were to go with a modern handheld I think that analogue pocket looks pretty nifty. I saw a retro pie thing called a retro flag gpi that looked like a gameboy with more buttons, but I'm not really into emulators.
  20. Do they have something like a GBA in the body of a classic gameboy?
  21. A big part of the draw for me is definitely the classic hardware. I don't think I would be interested in playing the GBA to be honest... it just doesn't have the nostalgia for me.
  22. Yeah, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I know there are great games and other ways to play them... But I just don't know if the hardware itself is gonna be worth getting to play on. I think it might be nostalgic to see and experience some games for a few minutes at a time... But I mean can you really sit there and stare at that screen for more than a couple minutes? I know I did as a kid, but I'm doubting I can as an adult.
