I think it's nice to have flashcarts to supplement a collection. Having access to rom hacks, system test software, unreleased/translations (big yessss on translations, glad to see stuff start getting official English releases lately though too!), import stuff that you can't easily get access to.

Not a whole lot this week, all thrift finds here goes: Xbox new era snapback from 2018, GameStop PSP hardcase, and a couple games Another working 360, $10 untested, missing controller and hdd meant for this model but no biggie. This ones dated August 3rd 2007, right on the edge of the change over from zephyr to falcon, but it's 16.5amp on the 12v rail so it's a zephyr lol this one has a Hitachi disc drive, faceplate a little wonky but fans sound fairly quiet, nice! @RH keep em both! Good to have a backup if it's your most played console. Also it's not that big of a deal since you already scored on gun nac and even though selling it would sweeten the price of gun nac even more it's harder to find an nes in that nice of shape. I have fixed 3 by bending the pins back, just takes time and patience with a small tool like dental pick or I use a dull exacto knife.

Friday! Here goes this week: Got a picture and mario box signed from Charles Martinet at the motor city comicon, first time I've ever done the picture/autograph thing at the con and i don't think it's really my bag but was cool to meet the dude and get a box signed. Got the MyNintendo keychain for TOTK, as well as the new amiibo and some AC cards that I need to stop buying hahaha. 7-11 x pacman sticker, they have all this strange crossover merch at speedway (since they got bought out by 7-11) t shirt, socks and stickers. The rest thriftin' : big brain academy card game, couple PS2 guitars for 5$ each, early model (PT serial) PS2 in amazing shape (no dust in the vents and the motors and laser sound great) for $15 minus power and controller which I have backups, and unauthorized Nintendo game strategies #2 book Finishing up with an Xbox game off the list wooo Dreamfall : The longest journey have a great weeeeeek yalllllll!

Can't wait to see the pictures! How do you feel about appearances in other games like GameCube soul calibur 2, smash bros, Mario kart, etc? Also, if a game is over 100% (like botw) does that mean you got preorder swag or how does that work?

I think you are probably right about the game freak connection but also it's an interesting game with rumble pak built in so not as easy to emulate.

This week went fast! We went hard on Zelda here's the gets Starting off the thrift stuff, no real games but cool toys! 1983 Lego set, probably all there, plus some paperwork for mcdonalds set round the same time period. Yomega glow in the dark fireball yoyo (!) and strings and tiger little mermaid lcd game both are nice nostalgia hits for me, I still have the red fireball I had when I was young, always wanted a brain yoyo though, so cooooool. On to the zelding Snagged the pro controller from Walmart, had to drive back to my hometown to find in stock and was super stoked they actually did. Mandy snapped up the collectors edition, thanks spacepup for the heads up of when it came instock on Amazon. Back when we got the switch on launch I declared if a Zelda edition system ever came out I would have to buy it and i hadta stick to that. The green and gold, the triforce design matching with new 3ds xl, hoooo boyyy so purty. Finishing up with: Lil acrylic Xbox display from eBay (had to sneak something Xbox in lel) and the Splatoon x Zelda keychains from MyNintendo Whew, right now we are on the way now to the motor city comicon to see Charles Martinet so next week expect a Mario autograph

Yeah, today's the release!! It was cool to see the people waiting for the store too, for sure! I've been watching her play and the opening was pretty cool. I was really into DDR way back when and have a soft spot for games with weird peripherals (which rhythm and dance games always do haha) I have a few other just dance games on Wii but haven't played much of the series, honestly only really played at friends and didn't own any until recently, I'll haveta check the 2015 one out.

Happy Zelda Friday!! Here goes this week of gets: Mandy got this sweet 360 stand at the thrift, and I got 360 bundle also thriftin for 30$ - arcade model jasper v1 board! Heck yaa, it works great other than the fan sounding like a jet. Gonna have to clean internally, but glad to not buy a paperweight. the rest of the bundle, the wifi adapter was what made me jump on it, so now the 5$ black and silver one I fixed up has matching wifi, ope haha Box of spacepup goodies came this week: Bunch of cool stufffffff from different regions (mostly jpn with some pal), glad to add some 360 imports, also spicy dvds and the trolling irl of Mariah Carey's Christmas album on cd, thanks dooood Just dance from the thrift and the rest from the local gamestore. Adding to the cheat devices with 2 models of psx GameShark and a Gameboy pocket link/printer cable. Finishing off with Zelda! We got the art print from preordering at best buy since its across the street from us, Mandy has the day off and is ready to goooooo have a great week y'all!!

Looks like the Luigi box to me. Edit: making sense to me, the Luigi box has a second disc holder in it, that version of Bayonetta 2 has 2 discs. Cool find!

Happy Friday, just a couple games this week. Persona 5 royal steelbook, Forza 5 day one edition, and pac man world 2 off the og Xbox list. Most of my thrift finds weren't gaming related, but hit pretty hard, had been looking for an all stainless steel tea kettle online for a few weeks and ended up finding a cool vintage one in perfect shape for $6! as well as some rap/hip-hop cassettes from the 90s on the cheap, various clothes and shoes, a sailor moon Luna LOZ block kit sealed for Mandy wooo wooo. Happy Friday! Very stoked to find an nes classic mini at the thrift for $5! Originally I was too excited to see the tag when I got it from the shelf, but it was the unit with 2 controllers taped to the top and no power supply so maybe they thought it was the knockoff one? Idk but bonus controller and then went to the cords section and found a Kindle charger that worked perfectly for power.. also a nice surprise - came back a few days later and they had the official cord, sweeeeet. Lil old gremlin(mogwai), a knuckles plush from '18, Wii monster component cables for a buck, spidermans and Metallica guitar hero for tree fiddy. MyNintendo big Metroid pin and Kirby bag came in the mail, along with some more AC cards that were mostly a bust for me this round. I got 6 cards out of the 24, oof. Friday! Robocop popped up at the local gamestore, another one off the list The local also had a super cheap 360 copy of doom 3 bfg with poster 360 150w power supply from the thrift for 1$!, It's the correct model for that jasper v2 i fixed up weeks ago. Patience is a virtue I guess. Finishin up with splinter and rattlor for a buck each (heck ya) my Nintendo rewards Mandy ordered (Pokemon hi-lighters and notebook), and a copy of the sims 4 disney world/land star wars journey to batuu. It's one I probably won't play but really like the idea of, I proposed to Mandy at the one in Florida so I thought it was neat to see the tie in and I'm a sentimental kinda guy. I feel like you should think about renting a U-Haul and making a trip. I'm pretty sure you both live on the east coast. That's what I would discuss for the cheapest and logistically smartest way. Plus you can make sure that it's transported safely.
