  1. I thought the interesting bit was in regards to what he said about the carts: "It does not, but I think it has the fixed Powerpuff Girls one, AGB-APTE-USA-1, which the Dexters lab game has AGB-ADLE-USA. I wonder if they just threw in random copies?" Which matches the post from Nick above. Two CIBs with the same carts found in them gives me enough information as to what carts to chase for it.
  2. Finally landed a USA-1 Ducktales thanks to @oops, with the correct cart/manual, but will still keep an eye out for an upgrade. :).
  3. Some CIBs today for $1340 CAD. Slalom is Hangtab.
  4. Built up some more credit, plus the store had 30% off used items. Traded in enough to cover these, with ~$30 to spare for next time.
  5. Found all these thrifting on Thursday. I didn't think finds like that could happen anymore. Cabela's is sealed, $3, had $10 off for Mario/Sonic making it $17, VHS .50 each. Cube/PS4.. all the same price.
  6. For every RDR2 or RE4 Remake, there's at least 10 that make me feel this way. Lots go into the "wait and see how it turns out/see what they fix" or deep sale territory. Lots are still enjoyable, just not worth the ask. Especially day one with all the typical problems.
  7. Went into a local shop I've never really been to, once a couple years ago for 5 minutes. Took in a trade box and $25 out of pocket, left with these.
  8. I had sold my collection in early 2007, only kept roughly 15-20% of what I had. I was happy being "done" for over two years. Now, as a kid, I had a Nintendo Power subscription. I get the issue with the Millennium 2000 giveaway. I love the controller and fantasize about owning one, but the draw date comes and goes, and I never enter to start with. Some years go by, building the collection. Never really thought much of that controller again. Never looked for one for sale or post an ISO. Roughly 2 1/2 years after the selloff, Summer 2009. I end up browsing Digitpress, where I had spent a lot of time in the pre-selloff period. I find a post, maybe a day or two old, from a low post count member in the buy/sell forum. Millennium 2000 for sale. After some back and forth messaging, I end up buying the Millennium 2000, the NP100, and the DK64 Banana from the user, all at once. Very nice condition on the Millennium 2000. I still have them, and while the Millennium 2000 isn't the rarest or most expensive item by any means, then or today. The timing of it all, at that point, the fact that it was not sold yet. The unattainable feeling it carried as a child, when that giveaway came and went. It all felt pretty wild at the time, and it is still one of my favorite stories, and items.
  9. Not yet. Still have some NES holes to fill, and some GBA games that are annoying as hell to get. I'll probably continue to buy whatever I find thrifting that's cool, just for something to do. 360's plentiful there, and I like collecting for it.
  10. Boring finds today, but only spent $12. The VHS is pretty cool, though.
  11. I have a few xbox games that I've hung onto over the years, the only one of note being Outrun 2006 picked up for clearance years back at EB. I'm a bit sad I never got around to getting Futurama, though. 360's more my thing. Not going for a set or anything, but it's been my "lazy background" collection for years. That one is fun now because the availability at thrifts is pretty high, and lots of the games that are becoming notable/valuable, are still affordable vs. other platforms. I have a good amount that I bought sealed/when new, that I never got around to playing/opening.
  12. I saw at least one CIB (Capcom, non-Playtronic) on mercado livre, because I tried to buy it but couldn't figure it out. This was some years ago, before it became "hot shit". Still don't have one, and won't pay what they bring now.
  13. Alex Electric was a local boy, came to one of our local NA meetups. But somewhat normal, if a tad annoying IRL. He was rather unhinged after the ban, last I heard was that he liked coke a bit too much, which probably contributed to his whole April Fool's on April 2nd thread. (it's still the 1st because I haven't slept).
  14. Grabbed the games for $24, multi was $9 after discount. Never heard of the 3ds game, had a nice surprise seeing that it sells for $40-$50 CIB. Good buy for $5.50, I'll try it out to see if it's worth keeping or sell it on. Been side questing some gamecube titles, $60 shipped. I loved Mirra 2 but never got to this one, renting or otherwise. I hear it's less enjoyable.
  15. Some items from our local NintendoAge group. Still going strong, even though NA is gone.
  16. Hey bud! I still have the snow bros gb cart we did a transaction on.
  17. Hit the thrifts and came up with these. Wrong disc on NB but it's the more desirable disc, so that's okay.
